Well, it seems like I'm on a writing roll right now, when really I should be on a homework bender. Oh well.

Sam and Vala make cookies. What could go wrong?

Disclaimer: I don't own it.

"Okay, now you mix the butter and sugar together," explained Sam, holding the electric mixer in her hand.

Vala listened intently. Since she was so fond of chocolate, especially chocolate chip cookies, she thought it would be a good idea to learn how to make them. And who better to teach her than Colonel Samantha Carter?

Sam turned the mixer on and moved it around the bowl.

"Okay, now you try," said Sam, handing the mixer to Vala.

Vala turned it on, before returning it to the bowl. Butter and sugar sprayed around the kitchen, hitting Vala and Sam as well.

"VALA!" shouted Sam, reaching for the mixer to shut it off, "Only turn the mixer on IN the bowl."

"Oh," said Vala, smiling sheepishly.

Sam smiled and wiped a dab of butter off Vala's nose. She watched as Vala put the mixer in the bowl and turned it on, creaming the butter and sugar. Sam grabbed the eggs, cracking them with one hand and dumping them into the bowl.

"How did you do that?" asked Vala.

"What?" asked Sam, confused.

"Crack those eggs with only one hand! I've been trying to manage doing it with two hands for weeks now. Every time I touch one, shell fragments everywhere!" said Vala.

Sam laughed while Vala glared at her sideways, still mixing the batter. Vala was so cute when she feigned anger. Wait, did Sam just think of Vala as cute? That had been happening more and more lately and Sam didn't quite understand why.

She measured the vanilla by simply dumping some in the bowl. Soon it was time for the dry ingredients.

"I'll mix now," said Sam, "It gets a little tricky with the flour, it can get pretty messy if you're not careful."

"Okay," said Vala, shutting off the mixer and handing it to Sam.

"Now, grab the bowl and pour it in slowly while I mix, don't add too much," explained Sam.

Vala nodded and grabbed the bowl. Her first pour was good, and Sam mixed it in. Her second pour wasn't so nice. Almost half the contents poured out of the bowl and Sam quickly found herself covered in flour before she could adjust the speed on the mixer or turn it off.

"VALA!"

Vala just laughed at the Colonel, covered in flour. Sam grinned, grabbing a handful of flour from the still open bag on the counter and throwing it in Vala's face. Vala stood in shock, staring at Sam before sticking her hand in the bowl and throwing batter at her.

"Vala, you did not just do that," Sam said angrily.

Chaos ensued. Soon both women found themselves on the floor, covered in batter and flour. They were both laughing.

"I can't believe you did that," said Sam.

"Well believe it dear Colonel, because I did," laughed Vala.

Vala scooted closer to Sam and Sam felt her breath hitch as she found Vala inches from her face.

"You have a little something, right here," said Vala, swiping her tongue over Sam's cheek, dangerously close to her mouth.

"Vala," Sam warned.

"Yes?" asked Vala innocently.

"Don't start something you have no intention of following through on," Sam said.

"Oh, my dear Samantha, I have every intention of following through on anything I'm about to start," smiled Vala.

She leaned forward and captured Sam's lips. She tasted cookie dough and Sam. It was wonderful.

"Well finish these later," said Sam, pulling Vala up and in the direction of her bathroom.

They were both pretty dirty, and a long hot shower would fix that, maybe.
