"Now that was some damn good zombie killing!"

"You idiot." Nick growled through gritted teeth. The two men were catching their breath in a safe room after a heavy battle. One that Nick knew was all Ellis' fault.

"Come on, Nick, ya can't say that wasn't fun."

"I can and I will. That was in no way, shape, or form fun. You and your damn curiosity almost got us all killed."

"Rochelle and Coach made it to a safe room, and so have we. And dude! We're in a fucking pirate ship! How is that not awesome?"

"This was clearly an infested pirate ship."

"You didn't have to follow me."

"What were you hoping to find?" Nick ignored the comment, "Burried treasure?"

"I was hoping to find a crane to get that tree out of your ass. Stop being such a pussy. No zombie can get through us!"

"You're such a kid." His anger had dissipated slightly, but his glare on the younger man remained set in stone.

"And you're an old geezer. Don't see me complaining do you?"

"You don't have anything to complain about." Nick stepped forward and pushed down his cadets baseball cap until it covered his eyes. "Come on, brat. Let's get that arm fixed up. You're even more useless without it."

"Fuck you." Ellis muttered half-heartedly, fixing his hat. His gaze went to his arm, where streams of blood were leaking down. He was getting used to the injuries. He followed Nick to a med-kit and allowed the older man to patch him up.

He bit his bottom lip as the bandage was tied, "Not so rough."

"But I thought you liked it rough." Nick said mockingly, grinning.

"That's another matter entirely."

"Whatever you say." Nick put away the kit and removed his weapons, getting ready to sleep.

"I'm not getting any tonight am I?" Ellis asked.

"Nope. You almost got me killed, you get sex withdrawal. Fair is fair."

"How is that fair?"

"It isn't."

"Damn you..." Ellis put his weapons next to Nick's and found himself a hardly-comfortable spot on the floor to rest. "Hurry up, geezer. I want my pillow."

Nick rolled his eyes, but laid down next to Ellis. He only had a second to remove the younger man's baseball cap before he'd attached himself to him. His head resting on his chest, their stomachs touching, their breathing rhythmical. Somehow, the hard floor became comfortable for them both. He placed the hat next to him, then wrapped his arms around Ellis' waist.

"Why'd you follow me?" Ellis asked in the midst of a peaceful stillness.

"You would have gotten yourself killed if I hadn't."

"So you do care."

"Shut up, brat." He pressed a kiss to his hair, "You need rest if you're going to get that arm in top shape again."

"Love you too, Nick."

"Never said that."

"You don't have to."

"You have no proof."

"I don't need it."

"...I know."

AN: Ehem...Hello. This is short and crappy, I know. But this is merely a birthday gift to Reeserella. She loves this pairing and L4D2. I have never played the game, nor do I really know the characters. I apologize for OOC-ness. I hope you like it Reese. To anyone else who read this, please don't flame...

Well, um...

Thanks for reading?
