Title: Along Came Arrowette

Characters: Cissie, Roy

Necessary Warnings: none

I LOVE CISSIExROY! No she's not an oc she's the second Arrowette and I love her. It's my first time writing Cissie so she might be a little ooc but I think I did a pretty good job considering. Ya ya so anyways enjoy!

For a long moment Roy can't think or breathe or do anything but stare at this girl he's not sure where the stunned silence comes from but he shakes it off with a glare that he fixes her with and a frown. He's not angry at her in particular it's just Roy's default setting.

"Don't ever get in my way again." he deadpans and she snorts incredulous.

"Excuse me?" she scoffs and Roy's glare hardens.

"You heard me, stay out of my way." his words have more bite not then they did a few seconds ago and the girl sneers.

"I just saved your life." she points out surprised and angry and from what Roy can see of her face she's seething.

"No you didn't." and that's a lit she did but admitting that would be like admitting a weakness and Roy was not okay with that.

"Tch right," she says sarcastically and she crosses her tight over her chest, it takes Roy a conscious effort not to look because Roy was seventeen not Captain America, so he had urges you can't blame him for that. "Most people would say thank-you." and Roy frowns; he's not most people.

"Look whoever you are-"

"Arrowette," she glares just as if not harder than he does and Roy's not sure how he feels about that.

"Arrowette, I don't have time for some kid playing dress up okay I'm a real hero." Roy's saying or at least trying to because she cuts him off again.

"I'm sixteen, you can't be much older than me!" she huffs and Roy frowns.

He's trying hard to be condescending and discouraging because whoever this girl was Roy has a feeling she's probably a really good person and this job being a hero wasn't all fun and games. He had almost died today and he doesn't want anything like that to happen to her, he has no idea where this desire to protect this girl came from anyway he just knows he doesn't want to see her get hurt.

"This isn't a game, it's not about how old you are. It's not fun or glamorous people die." Roy hisses deadly serious and her frowns deepens too, Roy's familiar with that sneer the defiant one that until recently he had assumed was his.

"You think I'd be here if I had a choice?" she spits back at him and Roy's not sure how to respond to that. It's fairly obvious the girl had some issues. "Whatever, next time I'll be sure to leave you for dead." it's her subtle way of saying good-bye she pivots on her heel hair whipping around with her too as she stalks out.

Roy's not sure what to make out of any of that but he doesn't have time to sit down and think about it, he's got work to do.
