We know how Chewbacca and Han were tortured on Cloud City, but we do not know what happened to Leia. Here is a portrait of something that might have happened. Star Wars is the brilliance of George Lucas, though I liberally elaborate on his ideas. xD Enjoy and please review!

The Cruelest Words

Leia paced the sitting area of her current living quarters. The lush apartment that had been allotted to the princess and her companions by Lando for the duration of their stay at Cloud City had once been comforting, a symbol of hospitality. Now the apartment was nothing more than a prison. Leia wanted to smash every crystal sculpture and rip every pristine cushion in the room, but her years of diplomatic training forced her to reign in her temper.

Betrayed. Lando had betrayed them all. From the beginning, Lando had planned to sell Leia, Han, and Chewbacca to Darth Vader. Lando claimed he had been thinking of his people, that he had no other choice. Leia could not help but wonder if Cloud City's Baron Administrator still held some old grudge against Han. Looking down, Leia realized that she still had the clothes that she had worn to dinner on. "Ugh!" Leia yelled in disgust! "I can't believe I'm still wearing these!" Retreating into her bedroom, she exchanged the red pantsuit with its sheer cape for her white Hoth uniform.

Stepping back into the living area, Leia glanced down at her wrist chronometer. Two hours had passed since she had been shoved back into her quarters by stormtroopers. Leia had no idea what had become of Han or Chewbacca. For all she knew, Han could be well on his way to Tatooine...or worse. Han! If they ever got out of this mess, he had some explaining to do.

The main door hissed open, startling Leia. Darth Vader entered, unaccompanied. "What do you want?" Leia snarled, balling her hands into fists at her sides.

Darth Vader noted that what Leia lacked in height was compensated for in fierceness. If only she had remained on the side of the Empire. After a long silence, Vader spoke. "Your petty rebellion will fail. We captured and executed Luke Skywalker just outside of the Hoth system.

Leia's face paled as she processed what Vader had just said. Luke...dead. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't! "Noooooo!" Leia screamed. "You monster...you are lying!" The princess fell to her knees, sobbing.

Vader stood, unmoving, as he absorbed the waves of hatred and anguish that rolled off of the form in front of him. Surely Skywalker would sense those sensations as well. Without another word, Darth Vader turned on his heel and left the room.

Immediately after the door closed behind Vader, Leia finally lost control. As tears flowed freely down her face, she picked up a piece of white pottery and threw it at the crystal sculpture on the coffee table, causing both to shatter upon impact. The princess ran into the main bedroom and threw herself on the bed. "Not..Luke," she sobbed. Vader had already taken her family once with the destruction of Alderaan. Now, he had managed to do it again. As anger and grief mingled in her heart, Leia vowed that if she ever escaped this wretched place, she would fight the Empire unlike ever before.

On the other side of the galaxy, Luke Skywalker cried out as his arms buckled under him, breaking his handstand. "Leia! Han!" Though his teacher would object, Luke knew that he had to go to the city in the clouds he had been seeing in his dreams. His friends, Leia, hurt for some reason. He had to stop that hurt before it was too late.
