Night Time

Severus Snape laid in his king sized bed struggling to sleep alone. He hated sleeping alone, he was use to his wife lying beside him, well actually he was use to her body thrown over his.

Tonight though he would have to sleep alone as Hermione was away at a charm convention, leaving him back at Hogwarts with their two year old daughter Lola. Luckily for him Lola had gone down to sleep quickly and without a fuss it was just him who couldn't sleep.

Hermione would be back in the morning and Severus was thanking his lucky stars. Looking after a two year old had been worse than a Slytherin and Gryffindor class. Lola was quite the demanding little girl; she obviously got that from her mother he thought.

Severus was just dropping off to sleep when he felt the bed dip and feel a little body slide next to his.

'Daddy.' A little voice said as he was poked in the face.

'Lola.' He said as he opened his eyes. 'What are you doing in here?'

'Want mummy.' She said as she cuddled into Severus.

'Me too.' He grumbled as he pulled Lola onto his chest knowing it was her favourite place to snuggle. 'She'll be back in the morning.'

'Back now.' Lola said as she put her hand into Severus's hair.

'Not now, in the morning.' He repeated as he rubbed her back. 'Sleep now.'

'Sleep with you Daddy?' she asked.

'Yes.' He said as he kissed her head.

Hermione arrived back at Hogwarts at 4am. She decided to get an early Port Key and come home to Severus and Lola. She walked to the dungeons after giving the house elf her bags and went to see her Husband and daughter.

Hermione walked into their private rooms and first went into her daughter's room to find it empty. She then walked into her bedroom to find her two dark beautiful asleep cuddled up together.

Hermione smiled at the sight before her. Severus Snape, her husband lying on his side with Lola curled into his. He was holding her against him as if he was protecting her; he loved his little girl.

Hermione undressed and put on a night gown and climbed into bed on the other side of Lola.

'Hermione?' Severus said as he opened his eyes in the darkness.

'Hi.' She said as she reached across Lola.

'Your home early.' He said as he yawned.

'Early Port Key, wanted to come home.' She said softly. 'I missed you too.'

'We missed you to a lot.' He said as he kissed her hand.

'Get some sleep, we'll talk in the morning.' She said as she squeeed his hand.

'Love you.' He mumbled.

'Love you as well.' she said as she kissed the back of Lola's head and looked at Severus.
