Paranoia

"I am arresting you for the use of magic."

Gaius and the guards looked from the floating light to Uther who fixated it. Feeling their incredulous stares, the king faced them with a crazed expression. Gaius cleared his throat respectfully and stepped beside him.

"Sire, this is a firefly. They glow naturally."

"They 'naturally' use magic!"

Uther started swinging his sword at the firefly who idly avoided it. The guards had trouble holding back their laughter but it burst out at their king's antics.

"I'm not paranoid!" Uther shouted when he heard them. Gaius sighed.

"That's what they all say."
