Lisa Braeden smiled as she watched her boyfriend, his brother, and her son struggle to carry in the tree while Bobby ordered them around. They had decided to wait until Christmas Eve to buy one and decorate it, and she appreciated the extra help – Dean hadn't been really involved the previous year in his grief over Sam's death, but this year was going to be better.

"Lise, are you going to stand there and laugh at us or help?" Dean glanced at her, trying not to laugh.

She rolled her eyes at him, but went over to help them. "Here. Sam, you can put the angel on top of the tree. At least someone can reach it."

"Hey, I got it last year!"

"Dean, it kept falling off until I gave up." She had to giggle when he glared at her, but stopped when he leaned over for a few seconds and kissed her. They then went back to decorating the tree.

Within a few hours, the tree was finally decorated – After a few mishaps that way. Dean took a shitload of pictures when Sam got tangled up in the lights for blackmail material and then kept his phone away from his brother. Ben stood there and laughed the entire time, while Lisa kept going back to the kitchen to take cookies out of the oven.

"This is our first real Christmas, Dean." Sam sat down next to his older brother and refused to leave his side. He had been a little clingy lately, but no one really minded.

"Yeah, it is, Sammy." Dean beamed at him and was about to say something when Ben started talking.

"Can we open a present yet, Mom?" Ben was impatient and just wanted to open at least one present. He was wired from all the sugar he had eaten today.

"Benjamin Isaac Braeden!"

"What?" He just stared innocently at his mother until Lisa gave in and acquiesced to his request.

Ben went for a present from Sam and Dean – It turned out to be an AC/DC CD. "I got those hints you kept dropping when we were shopping a few weeks ago."

"You happy?" Sam looked a little nervous, and Dean couldn't figure out why – Ben was pretty easy to please.

"Of course I'm happy! I've wanted this for such a long time! Thank you so much." He surprised the Winchesters by standing up and hugging both of them. A startled Sam practically squashed him once he got his bearings back.

"So, who's next?" Bobby didn't like Christmas all that much and just wanted to get this over. He hated the holidays, even though he loved spending time with the boys.

Sam started sweating and he picked up his present for Dean. "You don't have to keep it if you don't want to. I just figured you'd want it back, but I could be wrong. I'm sorry!"

Dean eyed him warily. "Let me open it and stop freaking me out." He unwrapped the present and found the amulet.

Sam was staring everywhere except at his brother. He was terrified of how Dean would react. Would he not want the amulet back? He had thrown it in the garbage after all – But that had been when their relationship had falling apart during the Apocalypse. Many things had changed since then. "So…?"

"Thanks, Sammy." Dean slipped the amulet back on and gave his younger brother a watery smile.

Lisa and Ben were unaware of the significance of the amulet, and were thus confused. Bobby grinned when the boys hugged, and everything went back to normal after Sam and Dean talked for a few minutes and the last of the rift between them finally healed for good. Then Sam opened Dean's present for him and was surprised by his gift.

After they were done opening presents, the Winchesters, Bobby, and the Braedens headed into the dining room for a big dinner. Lisa had prepared their favorite meals so everyone could be happy.

It was the best Christmas the Winchesters had in years.
