I'm sorry to say this, but I'm ending this story.

I know there are people out there that were looking forward to the new rewrite, but I just can't do it. I've lost the inspiration for this sequel to Naraku's Prisoner and I'm just going to pull the plug.

There are a couple of reasons why I'm ending Naraku's Child. The first and foremost is the hate I've been getting through private messaging. I know I shouldn't focus on the hate, but you know what? This is a fanfiction and I'm not going to put myself through dealing with negative feedback for something that I don't even have to put my time into. I finished Naraku's Prisoner and that's enough for me.

The second reason I'm ending Naraku's Child is because I've just lost interest. It's not that I ran out of ideas, I have plenty of ideas, I just don't want to work on it. I have other stories/ideas that are more interesting that I want to work on so that's what I'm going to do.

For those that are truly interested in what happens in Naraku's child here's a summary of how the story would have gone:

After the attempted kidnapping at Kiyomi's birthday ball celebration her parents decide it would be best if she left the country and got away from potential danger. So She travels with Inu-Yasha for awhile starting with China. Nothing of importance really happens in China, except Haru developing stronger feelings for Kiyomi and Kiyomi being oblivious. The group makes its way to India where Kiyomi meets new types of demons and gets the chance to learn some new fighting techniques.

It's while they're in India that Kiyomi gets kidnapped by the raven demon that was originally after her. She's taken to his lair where she meets a hanyo girl from Europe who was kidnapped years ago because of her strange ability to turn plain old rocks into diamonds. (ravens collect shiny things so this particular demon likes to collect rare demons/people).

Inu-Yasha and Haru rescue Kiyomi and the new Hanyo girl and there's a big battle with the raven demon. RD says some things about Kiyomi that makes her curious as to who she really is. The group returns home so that Kiyomi can talk to her parents about the shikon jewel. While they're home the hanyo girl grows attached to Inu-Yasha and Kiyomi encourages their budding relationship.

Kagome tells Kiyomi about the wish that was made on the jewel and Kiyomi does some soul searching. It is revealed that she IS the shikon jewel and it was her 'destiny' to help Inu-Yasha find his happiness (which is the hanyo girl). The raven demon had kidnapped Kiyomi because he suspected that her power was more then what a normal demon should have had (understandably).

The story would have ended with a fast forward into the future (Kagome's original time) with Kiyomi watching her mother as she falls into the well for the first time. By this time Kiyomi has completely tapped into her shikon jewel powers and remembers everything that has happened to the jewel before her birth. She reminisces about how the world has changed and about the secret demon society that she helped her father to create. Kiyomi thinks about Haru, who had died centuries ago from old age, and about her siblings. She wonders what life would have been like if she had ever taken a mate, but in the end she is happy with how she's lived her life and how she's excited to see where life takes her next.

So yeah. That's basically what happens with Naraku's Child. Sorry about ending the story, but I just can't work on it anymore. If someone wants to adopt it just contact me and we'll go over things. If this ever does get adopted I still want to be involved to some degree.
