Disclaimer: I don't own the Simpsons. I made Lisa the oldest for the purpose of the end of the story. Please enjoy

Two year old Lisa looked at her little brother. She smiled. She was so proud to have a little brother.

"Daddy"

"Yes sweetie," Homer asked

"Can I hold the baby?"

Homer paused for a minute.

"Well," he said, "Mom says no"

"Oh," Lisa said, "Okay"

"But mom isn't here"

...

7 Year old Lisa came into the den where her dad was watching TV.

"Dad," Lisa said, "Can you turn on Itchy and Scratchy?"

"Well mom says you can't watch that show," Homer said.

"Oh," Lisa said, "Okay"

"But mom isn't here"

...

10 year old Lisa knew she was wrong with the prank she pulled on her younger brother. She was up in her room when her dad knocked on the door.

"Come in"

Homer walked in.

"Sweetie," he said, "That wasn't a very nice joke you played on your brother."

"I know that dad. I'm sorry. I'm a bad person"

He brought her chin up forcing her eyes to meet his.

"You are not a bad person Lisa. You're a very good person. But you did something wrong. Do you understand that?"

"Yes dad"

"No mom says you need to be punished for what you did"

"Oh," she Lisa, "Okay"

"But mom's not here"

...

When Lisa was 17 her father and mother died in a car accident. She was devestated. She lost her best friend.

"It's not fair," Bart yelled, "Why did they have to die"

"I know," Lisa tried to comfort her 15 year old brother, "I miss them too."

"I MISS HIM MORE," Bart yelled, "You had them for two years longer then me"

"I know I did," Lisa said hugging her brother, "Come on. I'll take you and Maggie out for some ice cream"

Ice cream always made him feel better.

"Mommy would never let us have ice cream at that hour," Maggie said.

Bart nodded.

"But mom's not here," Lisa said taking a page from her father's book.
