Takes place preseason, right around the time Sammy found out about the Supernatural.

"So Santa, Yes or no?" Sam asked.

"No. Sorry, bud. The big guy just isn't out there. I wish I could tell you he is, but no."

…

"So I suppose the flying reindeer are also out?"

"Yeah."

"I always did think Rudolf seemed a little farfetched. So when's Dad getting back?"

"Soon."

"You always say that."

"Have I ever been wrong?"

"There was that one time when-"

Suddenly, a flash of motion caught their eye and they watched as a series of figures passed in front of the moon led by a glowing red dot.

"Well I'll be damned."
