I don't own Inazuma Eleven!
I'll be accepting OC's. Since I need a few, the details are at the bottom of the chapter. And my own OC which is a goalkeeper will be replacing no-one. Well he will replace one person, but it won't be Mark or Darren! Also I might be using Darren as a goalkeeper as often as Mark since it only seems fair. And by now you'd know that I'm using the English dub names, well that's because it's easier for me to remember. Hope I don't confuse anyone.
The re-birth of the FFI

It was the talk of the town, everybody knew what was happening and the events that were to take place over the next year. It was the first time that the rumours had been backed with evidence; the FFI was reborn and countries all over the world were getting ready for the massive tournament.
Darius Jackson had been picked out the whole town to represent his nation. Japan. But the surprising thing was, was that Darius didn't live in Japan. He lived in England with his father after his mother had died. He was half English, from his dad's side. But he was still Japanese from his mum's.
But even though he was half and half. He'd been born in Japan, by right playing for the Japanese national team would outweigh the English national team. Which he'd also been selected for.
But no matter how hard he thought, he couldn't wrap his head as to why he was wanted on the Japanese national team. They had two superb goalkeepers, he knew because he'd watched the tournament last year. Mark Evans made spectacular saves one after the other and Darren Lachance played well in his matches also.
England had one good goalie left, since their last one was too old for this year's competition. Darius clenched his fists; he didn't know what to do. His father wanted him to play for England; 'out home' he called it.
But no matter how much he'd convinced himself England was the way to go, he'd hesitate and then think of Japan. What if his mother wanted him to play for her national team? He should pay some sort of tribute to his mum, he knew little about her or their time together. But would it bring him closer?
It was a decision only he could make. And it would take a long time to come up with an answer.
Mark Evans almost screamed in frustration as he looked at the calendar. The nearing try-outs for the national team was now two days away. Every second seemed to go too slowly as of an hour took its place. He was about ready to smash his clock to pieces when his cell began to ring.
He looked down at the screen in front of him and smiled at the name he saw. "Axel!" He shouted into the phone as soon as he'd answered it.
"Wow, I'm surprised you're not practicing." Came a chuckled response. Mark scratched his neck nervously almost forcing a fake laugh.
"Err... yeah, I was just about to head out!" He lied; he'd been banned from going out the house until one this afternoon, which was about an hour away. After his last stunt he pulled to playing football his mum had went livid and landed him an extra day of grounding.
"Well hurry up then! I'm waiting outside; Jude wants us to head up to the river bank for practise."
Mark ended the call and rushed to grab his football things. He grabbed his new school football uniform and chucked it on as fast as he could. The uniform was different to Raimon Junior, the Raimon high uniform was a not-too-light and a not-to-dark grey colour with a orange line running down past the shoulder and elbow to the end on both arms.
The shorts were exactly the same in colours and the strip ran down both sides of the shorts. The badge on the t-shirt was a lightning bolt surrounded by dark clouds that were a black colour. It reminded Mark of a thunderstorm.
Mark completed his outfit by putting on his goalie gloves before he picked up his treasured football and walked out his room. Now was the tricky part; sneaking out.
He'd have to go out the back door and claim he couldn't take sitting around anymore. Or he could just sneak down the back staircase and out the back door. He chose the second option. Finally he snuck out the back gate.
He almost screamed when he saw Axel standing right in front of him. Axel just stood there with an amused expression on his face.
"Thought you'd be grounded." Axel commented before he turned on his heel. "After all, no one's seen you practicing for two days." He added, justifying his assumption.
Mark laughed. "Yeah, well, I would've been out if... I'd have done my chores." He answered finally.
The two arrived at the riverbank to see Jude in his Royal uniform alongside a few others that Mark hadn't expected to see. Well not yet at least, "Jordan, Xavier, Shawn, Darren!" Mark shouted, racing down the grass bank.
The four turned around at their ex-captain's call with a smile on their faces. "Mark!" They shouted back. The group crowded in a rough circle as they greeted each other.
"It's been a long time," Shawn said. "A lot's changed since our last tournament at FFI. I'm glad it's back though."
"Same, it means we get to meet again." Jordan smiled.
"The only problem is it means we won't be taking part in the national tournament this year." Xavier smiled sadly. "I was looking forward to fighting against you guys."
They all nodded. While they were grateful for the second FFI and that they could be a team once more, everyone was looking forward to battling each other to see who'd be the best when it came to the finals of the nationals.
"Well guys don't be too down; let's have a game to settle it now!" Mark exclaimed suddenly, pushing out his football for everyone to see.
The small game was set up with Mark and Darren as captains and goalkeepers. Axel ended up on Darren's team alongside Jordan whilst Mark had Jude, Shawn and Xavier on his team. A bit one-sided but it didn't matter.
Axel had managed to get past the defence of the opposite team leaving them chasing his dust. A smile crept up on his face as he kicked the ball into the air. He used his signature shot; fire tornado and slammed the ball in a fiery shot towards the goal.
Mark's own smirk appeared on his face as he used his own signature move. His God Hand was the fastest as it would go and as strong as Darren's own God Hand, maybe more. Mark caught the ball with ease before kicking it to Shawn.
He wasn't the best goalie in the world for no reason, especially after he led his team to victory last year.
Shawn hit Axel's team back by tearing up the pitch before passing it to Xavier. Xavier's meteor blade tore the defence apart and headed straight for the goal. Or not.
As Darren prepared his own God Hand, Xavier's shot was diverted suddenly. The ball instead was now heading towards a young passerby.
"Hey! Watch out!" Darren shouted to the boy.
The boy tuned and spotted the threat immediately. A strange aura surrounded the stranger; a very light blue colour. The boy crossed his chest with an X before he kept them by his side as if he was collecting energy. Just before the ball was upon him he thrust both hands forward in a catch.
Smoke covered where the boy stood and once it was clear the group of footballers saw that the boy had caught the ball. He dropped it from his hands then kicked it out back to where Xavier was. "You shouldn't have shot that when you're injured." The boy said.
Xavier looked shocked as if a dark secret had been released into the open. "You're injured? From the game against Diamond Dust?" Jordan asked immediately.
Xavier sighed. He nodded but said nothing more.
Mark walked up to the new boy with his hand outstretched. "hi I'm-"
"Mark Evans, I know." The boy interrupted. "My name's Darius Jackson."
Mark smiled. "You new here?"
"Temporarily, my dad's not happy about it but I wanted to see my mum's hometown." Darius replied.
"Who's your mum?"
"No one you know, she died when I was little." Darius responded a little glumly. Mark knew he'd struck a nerve.
"You wanna play?" Mark asked.
"Sure"
Darius joined Darren's team. Although he was obviously a goalkeeper he'd turned down Darren's offer stating that he'd joined them. No matter how long Darren persisted, Darius stood firm and took up the role of the team's defender.
The game had a new pace to it. The game now more even. Darius enjoyed the game and even managed to shoot a few times, though they never went in. But no matter how much he wanted to use a hissatsu, he didn't. It was best that he kept them a surprise since they'd be in the try-outs too.
The game ended in a scoreless tie. Darius dropped to the ground exhausted, the others soon followed.
"You're good." Jude said. "How come I've never seen you before?"
"I live in England, although I always wanted to live here. My dad wanted otherwise." Darius responded.
Jude nodded but didn't question anymore. The group sat at the river bank talking about random things, mostly about football and the upcoming FFI tournament.
Okay I hope you enjoyed!
