"I finished a new song today!" Ally beamed at him, her song book clasped to her chest.

Trish stood next to her and grinned too. "And I kept a job the whole day!"

Austin congratulated Trish before facing Ally again. He returned her smile. "That's great! Do you have it with you?"

Ally nodded in the affirmative and motioned towards the grand piano, where they usually went to practice a new song. Ally turned on her heel to walk towards it, her hair settling in a rush about her shoulders. Austin made a move to follow her.

Then two things suddenly caught his attention.

The first thing Austin noticed was that Ally had a nice ass. It wasn't usually noticeable when she wore a loose skirt or free-flowing dress, but when he was able to see it - wow. It was smooth and firm but not flat. In fact, it curved in all the right places and gave Austin the distinct urge to run his hands along it. Austin wasn't sure what surprised him more: how nice Ally's nice was, or how long it had taken him to notice it.

The second thing that Austin noticed was that Ally was wearing booty shorts. Jean booty shorts, which he had never ever seen he wear before. But if he thought too much on that point it led him back to the first point…and that wasn't safe thought territory right then. Austin decided just to stop thinking before he got himself into trouble.

"Okay, so take a look at this." Ally said. Austin's eyes were still trained on her backside.

"Ass - um, I mean…" Austin looked up with a start and found himself staring at the back of her head. "What'd you ask me?"

Ally finally turned around out of frustration. She frowned at him. "I asked you to come and take a look these new song lyrics I just finished writing."

"Oh." Austin walked forward to stand beside her. His hand was now dangerously close to her (very nice) ass. So close to it that, if he wanted to, he wouldn't have even had to extend his hand very much to trail it down her ass…

Ally smacked him in the arm. Austin gathered that she had been talking to him. "Austin! Are you even listening?"

No. Austin's fingers twitched.

"Of course I am." Austin told her, slipping his hands into his pocket. "These are great! Awesome! I knew you could do it, Ally. Another instant hit." Austin flashed her a nervous smile. "You're so amazing I don't even think you need me here anymore."

Ally gave him her, 'what-are-you-going-on-about' look.

"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow them!"

Austin made a mad dash for the door, hopping over the check out counter, a small child, and a guitar rack in his haste to leave. The door slammed shut behind him.

Ally and Trish exchanged glances.

"Did you even open your songbook yet?"

"No." The aforementioned book sat, very discernibly closed, on the lid of the piano. The two girls stood next to each other in the silence. Then Ally shifted her curious gaze to Trish.

"You think it worked?"

"Definitely."

Okay, now I'm just being silly. But I couldn't help it!
