He had to be the laziest person ever. All he wanted to do on their day off was go cloud watching. As if he didn't already do enough of that. He would stray from his work to the nearby window every now and then, if it wasn't for Temari yelling at him every 5 minutes, they wouldn't even have the day off.

Temari sat restlessly against a nearby tree, watching the lazy ass do nothing. He was either sleeping, or intently watching the clouds. Either way, it was slowly driving her mad. They should be doing something productive. Like training, or helping at the academy, but instead they were watching clouds.

"This isn't productive." Temari complained from her seat under the tree.

"It's not supposed to be." Shikamaru drawled lazily from his spot in the grass.

"Then what's the point?" Temari asked suddenly curious to why the Konoha genius would do something so boring.

Shikamaru sat up and looked back towards the irritated blonde. She was spinning a kunai on her finger while staring blankly at the grass.

"Come here." Shikamaru said gesturing to beside him.

Temari's face gave a questioning look, but she moved so she was sitting beside him. The grass was surprisingly cool, cooler than underneath the shade. There was also a gently breeze, cooling the air around the fields and village.

"Troublesome woman, lie down." Shikamaru said. He was already sprawled back out and looked more at ease than ever.

Temari reluctantly lied down. She purposely lied down so her head was close to his so she could feel his presence. Temari never really had time to relax at home. Gaara kept her busy, and Kankuro kept her worried. Even in her spare time, Temari kept busy with training. Relaxation never came easy.

A soft chuckle came from beside Temari.

"It's peaceful." Temari said just barely above a whisper.

"If you focus on something simple, like clouds, the stress you carry around will go away. Look for familiar shapes; it is both enjoyable and relaxing." Shikamaru said in an equally quiet voice.

Temari couldn't help but smirk when she realized it was true. She felt relaxed and stress free. She never thought clouds could be theraputical. Or it could just be Shikamaru's presence. His carefree personality was relaxing and calming, but also very irritating.

"That cloud over there looks like your fan." Shikamaru said pointing towards the east.

Temari laughed. It was true, and he had a keen eye for detail, even in clouds.

"Shikamaru." Temari said cautiously turning towards him.

"Troublesome woman." Shikamaru said back, focused on the clouds.

"Thanks for showing me how to relax." She said with a genuine smile.

Shikamaru turned to her, and smirked. He just successfully completed an A-rank mission. Apparently, the Kazekage was worried on the wellbeing of a certain stressed out Ambassador. He asked the Hokage for help on the situation. Tsunade had assigned it to Shikamaru on recommendation from the Kazakage himself.
