Harry had gone up to the Owlry to visit Hedwig. As he was feeding Hedwig a couple slices of bacon - which Hermione insisted wasn't healthy for her - he was startled by a loud ringing sound that had seemingly come out of nowhere. This being a magic castle, it had been more the volume and close proximity of the ringing that had startled him than anything.
After searching for the source of the noise for a while in hopes of shutting it up, his eyes landed on a hawklike bird with yellow feet with black talons, a yellow beak with a black tip, and brown and white feathers.
"...the fuck?" he said.
"Ah, I see you've found our Ringing Buzzard." Dumbledore - who had magically popped up out of nowhere as he was wont to do on occasion - said.

Author's Note: Inspired by a rather interesting mistake I found on Chapter One of Naruto: The difference a kiss can make. "...Kakashi had arrived hours late he had told them that they had until a buzzard rang to get two bells..."
