This isn't normal. This isn't normal at all. Victor thought as he plastered himself against the left side of the old stone bridge. It wasn't the fact that he had been chased by a corpse and now she was just inches away from him, it was the fact that he had fallen in love with her instantly. That was not normal. Especially for him. But he couldn't brush off the breath taking feelings he had. His heart pounding in his chest as this corpse slowly walked toward him.

Was this really what being in love felt like? It was a wonderful feeling. He didn't deserve such a wonderful thing. The feeling was magical. It literally felt like magic. Like he had been placed in a fairy tale, except this was the more gothic kind of fairy tale. But it was a beautiful gothic.

The corpse was beautiful. Her skin, such a sweet colour. Her torn and tattered wedding dress and veil flowing gracefully behind her in the wind. Her dark blue hair rolling down her back to her hips. Her lips were so dazzling pink. Her eyes so glorious as they looked into his.

Victor hadn't seen anything so beautiful.

She rested her hands on his shoulder and looked into his eyes. But her happy, eager expression faded and was replaced with one of sadness. Why did she look so sad? What was wrong?

She slowly moved her hands away from him and walked a few steps back. She kept her head down avoiding his gaze.

Victor moved his head a bit closer to her so he could see her expression. She still had that sad look on her face. He hated seeing her so sad. He walked towards her and lifted her chin with his index finger so they were looking into each other's eyes again. Victor could see tears running down her beautiful face. It hurt him so much to see her so sad.

"What's wrong?" Victor asked her in a concerned voice that was barely above a whisper.

"This was a mistakeā€¦," she said in a sad voice. "You don't love me the way I love you."

Victor hadn't known what happiness felt like till she said those words. She loved him. And he loved her. Victor knew then that they were meant to be together. It was fate.

"But I do," he said in a loving voice and pulling her into his arms. "I love you more than anything. My whole heart only wishes to be with you."

She clutched his jacket tightly. She then looked up, looked into his eyes, and said in her angel-like voice, "Really? Do you really mean that?"

Victor smiled at her. He leaned down and brushed his lips against hers.

"I do," he whispered.
