Somehow Harry and Ron kept on finding themselves holding hands. It started in the great hall, Harry had set his hand down on the table and Ron had set his on top of it. It took them five minutes to notice and when they finally did they spent another five minutes staring at their hands before shrugging and going back to their meals, leaving their hands exactly where they were.

The second time was in potions. Harry's potion was coming out like crap and he was really starting to get annoyed. Ron reached over, once again placing his hand on Harry's, but this time it was to comfort him, and this time their fingers intertwined. They left them like that, and Harry finished his potion, somehow still topping everyone in the class. Ron smiled proudly at Harry's accomplishments, giving his hand a quick squeeze before letting it go as they both moved on to their respective classes.

The third time was after quidditch practice. The others had all gone inside, and Ron had stayed behind to help Harry gather the balls. After finally managing to wrangle both bludgers into their spots breathless and giggling Harry and Ron lay down in the grass to catch their breath. Their hands landed together completely by accident, but this time Harry was the one to lace their fingers together.

The fourth time was in the hallways. The two were walking from charms to go meet Hermione in the library, both of them discussing all the latest gossip that Parvati had willingly filled them in on after Professor Flitwick fell asleep halfway through class. As Harry was talking about all the new couples that had popped up Ron reached over and grabbed Harry's hand, and Harry had let them slip together. And they both continued walking, despite the fact that people were starting to stare and talk. They walked hand in hand the rest of the way to the library.

The fifth time was in the great hall again. Harry came in and set down next to Ron and before he did anything else he grabbed Ron's hand, holding it tightly under the table. Ron smiled, he turned, saying something to Harry that most of the great hall couldn't hear before leaning forward and kissing him on the lips. Harry kissed back. The great hall quickly turned to excited chatter but neither Harry or Ron noticed, the two instead just continued their meal, chatting happily with their fingers still tightly entangled in each other.
