Remus and Tonks after the hospital wing bit.
I don't own anything
Tonks pushed past the crowds of students roughly. She was so embarrassed with herself for saying everything in the Hospital Wing in front of everyone.
"What must they think of me now?" she thought.
Tonks strode out of the Entrance Hall into the pouring rain. She didn't notice someone following her outside.
Tonks walked quickly through the empty streets of Hogsmeade, nearly falling twice. She splashed through a large puddle grumpily when she heard the familiar voice call from behind,
"Tonks...TONKS!"
Tonks didn't stop but instead sped up trying to get away from him. She heard his footsteps quicken into a run so that he caught up with her in no time.
"What do you want Lupin?" she asked harshly as she turned to see the soaked figure of Remus Lupin. She swallowed, trying not to think about how much she loved him and turn back around so she couldn't see his face.
"I came to tell you I was wrong," Remus said loudly through the sound of the rain rattling on the roofs of the houses around them.
"I don't want to hear it. It's over now, I don't care about what you have to say!" Tonks screamed. She started to walk again but much slower, waiting for a reply.
"So you don't care that I was wrong about what I said. That I'm not too old or too poor or too dangerous!" she heard the smile in his voice, "that I was wrong about how I don't love you because the truth is I do love you Nymphadora."
Her heart was pounding in her chest painfully.
"You do?" she asked quietly. He nodded and took a step forwards towards her,
"With all my heart."
She looked up; his greying hair was plastered to his face, his robes soaked. He was close to her now, so close she could see the rain drops clinging to his eyelashes. He spoke again but this time whispering,
"Can you forgive me? My foolishness and blindness towards my feelings for you?"
Tonks nodded her head mutely.
"Can you still love me?" Remus asked earnestly. His amber eyes searched her unnaturally gray ones. She nodded. Remus came closer to her she could feel his breath on her face. He bent down and kissed her gently. They broke apart in need of air and blushed slightly. Remus embraced Tonks tightly. They stood there with their arms around each other, in the heavy rain not wanting to let go.
"I love you Remus." She whispered into his shabby robes
"I love you too Nymphadora."
"Don't call me Nymphadora"
