Chapter 40 - An Eavesdropper

Kagome sighed. "Yes, yes you guys have." Was it so hard to get through to Inuyasha?

"Well, not really. I mean, it's not like he's doing the whole 'Tessaiga is unworthy of you half-breed' act and it's not like I'm attacking him all the time." Inuyasha said, shrugging half-heartedly. "Honestly, I think you're overreacting."

"I'm not-"

"Jeez, we're brothers, brothers fight all the time, right?" he snapped, momentarily causing Kagome to pause.

"That's not 'normal' brotherly fighting there. You two need to work this whole thing out when we aren't trying to find someone who may or may not be dead and when your brother's freedom and mine too aren't on the line!" Kagome tried to coolly reason, but by the end of her statement her voice had risen to shouting volumes.

"What we do is perfectly normal! At least we aren't trying to murder each other all the time; don't make it some big deal or something."

"Inuyasha please calm down! I just think it'd go… faster…" A large thump had followed her passive way of saying 'shut up', something she had picked up from her mother. Her eyebrows drew near, the synapses in her brain connected.

AN Soooo it's been a year and a bit. Sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth there, yeah that was a pretty terrible thing I did there. Mocks then real then school again and it was senior year, but now I'm back, sort of. I have holidays and what a better way to waste my time than on this website.
