Epilogue 1: "Offensive"

Where am I?

Void darkness is all I can see. Breathing is hard, and I hear no sounds but the sound of heartbeat. I tried to move but I can't lift my body. Something heavy is lying upon me. As far as I remember, after I went jogging with Ayumi earlier this morning I went up to the hill with Yui to hunt mushrooms together at the maple forest and was trying to pick one when I lost my consciousness.

I must get out of here! The heroines are waiting!

"Eh? It's soft and tender…"

"Keima-kun, your hands…"

"Uwaawaahwawah! Get off of me!"

Keima rose from the ground, pushing Yui off of him.

"Ouch~ Hehehe. You okay, Keima-ku—"

"Why did you jump at me?" He shook of the dust and maple leaves from his clothes. "Anyways, here. I found 3 mushrooms…"

"Keima-kun, your head is bleeding!" Yui screamed as the blood dripping down to Keima's red scarf and to his black shirt. She quickly stormed at him and had her eyes on the wound on his head. "Ah it's just a mild wound… No worries, I brought a first-aid kit in my bag. I will take care of it in no time!"

"Okay," he responded, walking back to their mat.

"Lay down while I prepare, please."

"Already."

"Good girl~" Yui teased, only to anger Keima.

Yui grabbed her bag and pull out a white box. Like the usual first-aid kit box, there's a red-cross sign printed on its lid, which she hurriedly opened to take a white bandage and antiseptic.

She looked so composed when treating the wound. Even Keima was a little bit mesmerized. He tried to look at the bandage when he said, with a worry look on his face, "Thank you Yui. You saved me; the bleeding has stopped. You were unexpectedly good at this…"

"Hehe. My mother taught me lot of things. Treating wound is nothing special!" she laughed. "More importantly, are you alright? Do you feel dizzy?"

Keima stared at Yui. With her dark brown jacket and her usual hairdo, the scene was looked like two boys romance. Good thing it wasn't crowded there.

"Actually, it's a little bit spinning…"

"Then come here. Rest your head on my lap!"

He was hesitated about doing as she commanded, but Yui forced him and he couldn't fight her back.

"I'm sorry about this, Yui. We are supposed to find mushrooms as many as we can, but we only got 3 so far. It is my fault that we can't find more…"

The girl tilted down her head; her tea-green hair was touching Keima's cheeks gently, "It's alright, it's alright. You've done great. Now take a rest!" She giggled.

..

Hours later, Keima already bid his farewell to Yui, who's still cheerfully waving at him from her car until it vanished behind a wall on the intersection. It was only a 4 hours date, but it felt like forever for Yui and Keima in different point of view. The drummer girl was extremely happy to spend her afternoon with her beloved, while the boy was feeling the uneasy urge to go away from the 'offensive' girl. He was relieved his date with her is over for today.

Keima was walking to the café in his house when suddenly a purple-haired girl landed behind him, clapping her hands.

"Wonderful act! Perfect! You should get an oscar for that!" she teased.

"This is necessary to increase their love points." Keima turned at the violet haired girl who's looking at him miserably, "But look! I'm bleeding on my temple. This is not in my scenario! It has to be Mars who forced Yui to be more offensive! Dangerous! They are dangerous duo!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever. What's more important is that you're going to watch Tenri's magic show at 1 PM," Haqua reminded, showing him the schedule with her celestial robe. "... Tch, it's Diana now huh?"

"Phew. I don't need to go out of this house," Keima said as he threw himself on the sofa. "Argh!" Keima screamed of pain, unnoticed by Haqua who's heading towards the kitchen.

"It's still 12 PM, so you can take a rest. Or would you like to eat something? You haven't had anything, right?"

"… Argh…"

"D-don't get me wrong! I-it's not like I care about you or anything! But it will be better if you carry out the mission with full stomach!" Haqua turned away to hide her blush. "Ahem. So, what do you want me to make?"

"… Ugh…"

"Hey, don't ignore me!" the devil walked to the living room, "Huh? Is he sleeping?"

Haqua approached the sofa to take a better look at the god of conquest who's lying on the sofa unconsciously. She failed to notice important things like there's a hardcover book under his head titled 'How to Be a Good Leader' and blood streaming out the other side of his head.

The purple-haired devil looked around the house and found no one in the house except her and the passed out conquering god.

There should be no one here, right? Mari-san was going out with her high-school friends and Elsie is at New Hell at the moment to hand out her weekly report to the higher-ups.

Haqua drew face on his and whispered his name to wake him up, but nothing even poked his cheeks with her finger but he still won't open his eyes.

"No one is here, and he's in deep sleep…"

Her monologue was only causing her blood to go up to the top of her head. Again, she looked around to make sure if she's really alone with Keima.

Yes. She is. "I-it's now or never" she thought.

Haqua bent down and lessen the gap between her nose and his; her heart was trying to pop out from her chest for each beats. Slowly, she moved her lips towards his. They were only inches away to collide, but she suddenly stopped and pecked his cheek instead.

"Ugh, it hurts…" Keima opened his eyes softly. "Oh, Haqua. What are you doing? Why are you blushing?"

"I, uh…"

"Did you do something to me when I passed out?"

"W-what are you talking about, pervert!"

"Gyaa!" Keima went unconscious again; Of course, Haqua just hit him with her scythe.

"… Err… Keima?" Haqua finally noticed that the bandage on his head that was white is now red. "I guess I went too far. Ahaha, my bad!"

Light was emitting from her hands and the bleed slowly stopped streaming.

"That would do for now… I'm sorry, Keima."

*Knock Knock*

"Oh, no. Is it finally the time? But he's still healing!" Haqua thought. "There's no other way, then!"

..

Aah, I'm really happy. Keima-kun has always been cold towards me; but yesterday, Keima-kun suddenly ask me to perform a magic show. I was confused, but I'm delighted! I prepared all-night long for this. I'm sure Keima-kun will be amazed!

"Tenri, do your best! You must go all-out today!" said Diana who appeared on Tenri's magic box.

"Yeah..."

"Go offensive if you must!"

She could only blush to her ears. She got even more redder when suddenly someone open the door.

"Te-tenri, are you waiting? Please come in!"

"N-no! I've just arrived!" Tenri said to her crush that has just appeared in front of her.

"Is that so... good then! Come in, come in!"

"Ex-Excuse me..."

What's with Keima-kun today? He's so friendly and he's been smiling towards me since our eyes met.

Keima led Tenri to the living room. Their heartbeat increased as they ventured deeper into the empty house. The girl with braids could predict that she's alone with him because his mother couldn't be seen anywhere at the moment. Usually, she always stands by the bar and welcomes her with a soft smile when she entered the café. However today, it's her son who greeted her.

After they both sitting down at dining table's chairs, Keima started the conversation.

"So, what what magic you'll show me today Tenri?" Keima said enthusiastically, much to Tenri's amusement. "Wait, you didn't bring anything with you…"

"Oh, I do bring my magic tools." The magician bent over and placed her hand behind his ears; suddenly, a red colored rubber ball. "This one, and…"

Tenri bounced the ball to the floor, caught it, and then bounced it again, harder; causing the ball flew towards the ceiling. Tenri was already holding a magic box before she caught the rubber ball again. The box wasn't really big; it's just as tall as her tummy.

She was expecting Keima to have his usual expressionless face, but he didn't show it. Instead, he was having a surprised look on his face.

He clapped his hands, "W—when did you bring that box?"

She ignored him and just continued with another magic tricks, but she was very happy to receive a rather proactive question from the normally dense boy. However, although she was glad Keima showed a high appreciation towards her magic show; she began to wonder as she's gotten used to his compliments.

Is this really Keima-kun?

Sure enough, the enigma was answered soon as someone stepping down the stairs.

"Ugh, my head still hurts… She hit me really hard…"

"Ah!"

The figure was no other than the capturing god, Katsuragi Keima himself. The magician was utterly shocked by the sudden appearance of another person, the very same person she loves for 10 years who's supposed to be sitting in front of him. Meanwhile, she also couldn't find the boy that has been with her since she arrived.

"Keima-kun. How—?"

"Ng?"

"Just now… W-was it magic? You were sitting there a second ago…" Tenri timidly asked.

Just by looking at the scene and considering all the possibilities, Keima can grasp what's happening. "That Haqua did something unecessary…" he sighed before he made his signature move: tilting his glasses while saying, "Yes. I called it 'The Teleporting Man'."

"That was amazing! Cou-could you teach me please?"

"Sorry. Gotta go to the downtown in 10 minutes. There will be a huge game fair."

"… I see… I'll be leaving then."

"Okay. Thanks for coming. See you next time."

*Blam*

Getting his usual robotic comeback on his face again, Tenri giggled cheerfully. She headed back to her house with rosy heart she felt for the first time in forever.

Back to the Katsuragi's household, Keima was sitting on the bar's stall, fingering the wound that has already gone. "Hmm, it is already healed."

"Of course. My magic is flawless, you see." Haqua commented. She suddenly appeared behind the bar, preparing a coffee.

"Anyways, you've done well. It must have been difficult to act as me." Keima slurped the coffee Haqua just served. "Though you might seem to be smiling from time to time."

"Well. I just want to raise her love points, you see?" Haqua pointed at him. "I'm a girl too, so I know how annoying it is to converse with a dense boy like you."

"I thought you are a devil," he said before he sipped his coffee again. "Your attempt to give more smiling might work if you do that to Ayumi or other girls instead. They'd be in bliss; Tenri is a little bit different."

Haqua gazed at his brown colored eyes, "How is she different?"

"I don't know. My feelings are telling me."

"Your… feelings? Towards that girl?"

"Yeah. It's like her affection won't budge no matter how I treat her. And unlike the other hosts, she knows about the devils and my method to extract the weiss from a girl's gap," he explained. "She's strong, that Tenri."

Haqua leaned forward, "Then what about me?"

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"I was demoted from my position and was given extra task to help you raise those girls' love points so the goddess can seal all the lost spirits!" She said. Tears are starting to fill out her eyes. "While holding this feelings, I have to watch you with another girl and sometimes meddle right into the scene!"

"Haqua…"

"It's not easy at all! It's difficult and you never seem to appreciate my efforts! Just what am I to you actually?"

Keima struck his hands to her shoulders, "Stop speaking like that." He stopped for a moment. "Haqua. To me, you are…"

Badump, Badump. They could hear each other's heartbeat, since not a word could slip through their mouth. The boy leaned forward, causing the violet-haired devil to hold her breath. Her consciousness almost melted away by his hot breath if it's not for her iron will. She succeeded to push him away from her.

"Eh?"

"… Co—complete it… Finish your words!"

Keima sighed, "Fine. We already come this far anyway."

"..."

"However, I believe there's something we have to do first," Keima said.

Haqua turned the tip of her celestial robe into a square touch screen. "2.30 PM… Watching Nakagawa Kanon's concert…"

"Yeah. Next?"

"Go to cinema with Shiomiya Shiori… Why watching? I thought she prefers read—"

"—To show her another dimension to enjoy a transformed literature art. The movie, 'Once Upon a Time on Planet X', was adapted from a science-fiction novel so she is familiar with it and is anticipating enthusiastically. Also, watching doesn't require her to speak." Keima cut in. "After that, I'll be watching the full moon with Tsukiyo at the school's rooftop at 7 PM."

He turned away, hiding the pink hint on his cheeks. "I will finish the sentence after the moon-watching."

"… You damned cheater," Haqua commented.

"Yeah, yeah. A damned cheater you're in love with."

His expression resulted with himself being pummeled deep into the bar's table by the blushing Haqua's raging fist.

A/N: I'm so changeable.

By the way. I'm sorry. I guess I did so many mistakes here and there. I did this in the middle of war with other activities... lol.
