"Someone Like You"

I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now.
I heard that your dreams came true.
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you.

Ginny Weasley stood, out in the rain. She was outside the infamous Boy-Who-Lived's house. It was hard to believe that just five years ago, she was dating him. Now, he was happily married to Daphne Greengrass. They already had one son and she was pregnant with another.

Ginny had hurt Harry, cheated on him. She had not seen or heard from him since then. All she had heard had come from her brother, Ron.

Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light.

Harry had avoided her since that day he found out. It hurt Ginny that her childhood crush, friend, and savior wanted nothing to do with her.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.

Ginny had given up waiting for him and decided to go see him. So much for Gryffindor bravery. She was quickly loosing nerve. She would have left but for the strong desire to see him. She was in love with a happily married man.

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead."
Yeah

Ginny dreamed of finding another man, someone like Harry. But deep down, she knew she blew her once in a lifetime chance at love. Finding someone like Harry was impossible.

You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised
In a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days

Ginny could vividly remember that first kiss. It was in her fifth year, after Harry won the quidditch cup. She stuck by him as long as he was popular, but left when the fame died down.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I'd hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.

Harry's front door threw open and a small clone of the man himself ran out of the door and into the rain, laughing. Mr. and Mrs. Potter followed little James out. Harry picked up his son and spun him around and then kissed Daphne.

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead."
Yeah

Ginny looked at the happy family and realized it would be cruel to break it up. Swallowing her sobs, she apparated away.

Author's Note: I own nothing. I don't own Adele's lyrics or J.K. Rowling's characters. This was my first song fic, written on a rainy day. I hope you like it. I would really appreciate reviews because it would help me to do better next time. Thanks!
