Ficlet
Okay, do once again I'm at school, and I really wanted to write a ficlet (Less than 1000 words) It could kind of be a drabble but I know I don't want it to be very long. I know it's not really like me to write ficlets – but dealwithitbro.
It's a what-if of 3x22 – I hope you like it.

Deeks sat on his board, wishing a big wave would come but nothing did, he bobbed gently on his board, staring into the rising sun. The gulls flew over him, squealing their own private demands at each other. He used his arms to push himself through the water, paddling across the small waves towards the shore. Once he got too close he jumped off and put his arm around his board – pulling it with him as he walked the last length out of the ocean.
He threw his surfboard onto the sand, not caring for its usual upkeep and sat down beside it. His hair dripping wet. His whole body dripping wet.
He hadn't slept.
He thought maybe coming out for a surf would clear his head, but he couldn't stop thinking about it – the kiss. She kissed him and just brushed it aside 'Cover Kiss' she called it.
Sure, it was a cover kiss, sure he didn't exactly respond to the kiss, but he was in shock until she let go of him.
He should have kissed back.
He draped his arms over his bent knees and looked out to the slowly rising sun.
Deeks closed his eyes and inhaled the ocean air deeply, feeling something brush against his arm he realised somebody had sat beside him.
He opened his eyes and turned his head to the person beside him.
It was Kensi.
Kensi.
She was here?
"Hey" She whispered.
He was shocked; she sat there on the sand in denim shorts, beige pumps, a tank top and a blue long jacket. He hair was down, resting around her face. She looked tires – like she also hadn't slept, but she looked perfect. As always.
"Hey" He said back, at the same volume as her.
"I couldn't sleep…" She said, turning away from him, looking at the sunrise.
"I guessed as much" He followed her gaze to the sun, which would soon be too overwhelming to look at.
"My bed didn't feel right, I felt really alone" She admitted.
"I guess mine did too… That's what we get for sharing a bed for almost two weeks" He exhaled.
"You guess? So, what really brought you out here?" She looked back at him.
"I've had a lot on my mind…"
"Like what?"
He turned his head to her and tipped his head slightly, should he tell her?
"This" He crashed his lips against hers. Not wanting to push any further into it, a kiss was enough.
This time it was her turn to be shocked. Her whole body froze and her eyes started to close.
Was this what it felt like for him when she kissed him earlier?
Her hand shakily raised and rested on his arm that was on her shoulder. But he broke the kiss.
She looked at him, her eyes were lost.
She felt herself blushing and quickly moved into a ball.
He made her blush, Kensi Blye.
It wasn't just a kiss, she was realizing that now. She didn't need to kiss him, but she did. It had nothing to do with undercover. And neither did that.
This was their life now, And she remembered what Hetty told her.
About not wanting to go home to just weapons.
And she knew, Hetty meant him.
'Unfamiliar feelings.' … They were not unfamiliar, they were never unfamiliar, they were just ignored.
A/N: Okay, so it's a little longer than I anticipated, But it's still as short as hell.
I hope you liked this little ficlet :)
