A/N: I wrote this story because I love the Hunger Games trilogy, but I don't have an idea for a HG fic yet. Warning: crazy, random, and OOC Vader/Anakin.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything, except the plot of this story.
~Read, Relish, Review~
"Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth Vader."
"Thank you, Master." I inwardly smile, feeling thankful and relieved instead of feeling sorry (well, getting your Sith name is an 'official sign' of turning to the Dark Side, isn't it? And you're supposed to regret that).
What? You exclaim, surprised.
I know 'Vader' is a weird name—I like 'Anakin Skywalker' better—but it could have been worse if it wasn't Sidious who renamed me. Say, the Sith Master is Obi-Wan (Darth Kenobi?). I could've been Darth Cinna, Darth Everdeen… even Darth Avox.
Why? You ask.
BECAUSE EVERYONE IS OBSESSED WITH THE HUNGER GAMES, YOU—Oh sorry, this is a rated K fic. Yes, everyone I know is a diehard Hunger Games fan. Even Snips, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Padme.
(You don't know what a Hunger Games is? It's a fictional game in three famous novels from Earth. By the way, Earth is a planet in a galaxy far, far away from mine.)
I know the Force blesses Palpatine, he's as normal as me. I'm quite happy he's my new master, because I'm absolutely sure if anyone says another word about the Cornucopia or District Thirteen, I'll throw a temper tantrum.
"Rise, my friend." Sidious orders. I get up to my feet and try not to laugh. He's so ugly now! I stare at him as he wears his hood up and says, "Every single Jedi is an enemy of the Republic. Go to the Jedi Temple and end their treachery!"
"Yes, Master," I respond automatically.
"Do what must be done, show no mercy!" he continues. "Yes, Master," I reply. Ah, how I love playing the 'Yes Master' game. It really pisses everyone off (I tried it with all the Jedi Masters in the Temple as a Padawan). "Remember, only through me you can save your wife."
I nod and turned to leave. As I opened the door, Sidious calls, "Lord Vader?"
"Yes, Master?" I ask. I love this game.
"May the odds be ever in your favor."
