Chapter Thirteen
There was no movement. That's when I heard a soft groan.
"Winston." I heard Ray's voice. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah." Winston replied. I could hear a bit of laughter in his voice.
"Venkman! Nancy! Spengler!" I heard Egon groan. Ray kept calling for us. I moved away from my little crevice all covered in marshmallow. Ray and Winston were already standing. Egon was next to go over. "Spengler. Oh, Spengler. Oh, are you okay?"
"I feel like the floor of a taxi cab." Egon replied. I walked up next, trying to get the marshmallow gunk off my hands.
"Nancy, you okay?"
"Yeah. This is going to be a bitch to get out of my hair, though." I answered, smiling slightly. Egon looked at me and smiled slightly.
"I'm glad you're okay." He said quietly.
"I'm glad you're okay too." I grinned. I felt my face get red. I heard my brother groan.
"Venky!" Ray yelled.
"Yeah, where are you?" Peter asked. He walked up with barely any marshmallow gunk on him.
"Oh, thank God." Ray breathed a sigh of relief. I smirked at my brother..
"Hey, Peter. C'mere."
"Oh, hell no, I ain't falling for that." Peter moved away from me.
"You okay?" Ray asked Egon.
"I'm alright." He responded.
"You alright?" he asked Winston
"I'm alright."
"Are you alright?" he asked me. I nodded.
"I'm fine."
"You alright?" Winston asked him.
"Yeah." Ray answered. He looked at Peter. "You okay?"
"Fine." Peter answered simply. We walked up to the remains. Ray grimaced.
"Smells like barbecued dog hair..." he muttered. Peter stopped at one of the dogs that was Dana. "Oh. Venkman. Oh, Venkman, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I...I-I-I just—I just forgot."
Peter just turned to walk away. That's when we heard crumbling. He turned back around and a hand was protruding from the charcoaled and burnt demon dog remains. We heard a groan.
"Look!" Ray exclaimed. We were all in absolute shock. We got over as quick as we could and tore the burnt remains away, and found Dana laying there with her eyes closed. She seemed to be just a little tired. But who wouldn't be with all the shit she just went through? Peter picked her up.
"Somebody turn on the lights!" Louis yelled. "Help! Somebody!" he was standing up and had the burnt dog head over his own head.
"Go check on that little guy." Peter said. The four of us went over to Louis. Ray took the head of the demon dog off of him and Louis looked around.
"What happened?" he asked. I heard Dana groan a bit more.
"Where am I?" she asked. I turned and saw her look at Peter. "Oh...hi."
I turned back as they were helping Louis over some debris. He kept looking around.
"Boy, the superintendent's gonna be pissed." He said.
"I think he'll understand." I reassured him.
"No he won't, he's a bastard." Louis said it so innocently I couldn't help but laugh.
"Are you okay?" Ray asked. Louis looked at us.
"Who are you guys?"
"We're the Ghostbusters."
"Who does your taxes?"
I shook my head and we started to leave. "You know, Mr. Tully, you are a most fortunate individual." Ray said.
"I know."
"You have been a participant in the biggest interdimensional cross rip the Tunguska blast of 1909."
"Felt great."
"We'd like to get a sample of your brain tissue." Egon told him.
"Okay."
Winston looked around. "I love this town!" he exclaimed, clapped his hands, laughed and then followed us.

We walked out to a cheering crowd. Dana and Peter were the first out and I saw them kiss. Ray was next and he started smoking a cigarette. Egon was third and Janine ran over to him. I was fourth and got into the car. I saw Louis walk out last and some people took him away. Everyone got into the Ecto 1 (besides Louis, of course) and we drove slowly through the crowd. When we were finally out, Ray turned the sirens on and we drove away with some people chasing us wanting interviews. I was looking out the window and I swore I saw a green blob screaming and flying past us.
