A/N This was just a random idea that popped into my head. (And, just so you know, in my mind, Loki is a little taller than Thor) Read on!

Silvertongue

Loki did not fight as he was bound. He was silent but strong the entire time. His dark, emerald eyes bore into Thor as he reached up to put the muzzle on his face.

"Brother," Loki whispered. "Brother, please."

Thor shook his head. "I trusted you, Loki. You have betrayed me too many times. This is for your own good, Loki."

"I regret what I did, Thor. I honestly do," Loki said, his voice quivering just enough to convince his brother.

Thor looked into Loki's eyes, nearly taking the bait. "Loki, brother, I know what you are trying to do, and I would thank you if you please stop."

Damn, Loki thought. He always falls for that… "I know not what you are talking about. I-"

"Shut up, Silvertongue!" Thor roared.

For once, Loki's cool, clean poker face broke. In truth, he hated that name. He hated it more than Thor would ever know.

Actually, it was where the nickname came from that irked him. It was years ago, back when Loki was welcome in Asgard.

Loki, Thor, Sif, and the warriors of three had been goofing off in the courtyard after their lessons. They had decided to give each other nicknames.

"What about Thor?" Sif had said with a laugh. "Come on, Loki, you haven't said a word yet!"

Loki had been practically ignoring them until that point. "I don't know, Sif. Why don't we play a different game? Like hide and seek?"

Thor rolled his eyes. "We always play hide and seek, Loki, cant we play something else for one?"

"If it's getting so old, then why haven't you said anything yet?" Loki asked.

Thor smiled. "Because you always talk us into it, Loki."

"Of course," Loki said with a smirk.

"I've got it!" Sif suddenly said. "Silvertongue!"

All of the children looked at her, trying to figure out what she meant.

"Loki's nickname! Silvertongue!"

Thor nodded, laughing his booming laugh. "Of course! It's perfect!"

And Loki had faded into the background again.

Loki had not liked the name from the beginning. He had secretly hoped that, like all of the other stupid nicknames that they had come up with, would have disappeared within a week. But it stuck with him his entire life.

Loki's mind went blank as he was transported back to Asgard. Once he entered the palace, the first thing he heard was the voice of Sif, shrill and high above all the others:

"Look, it's little Silvertongue!"

Loki looked down so that no one could see the tears welling in his eyes.
