Hi hi so it's been a while but I'm back to writing. Ok so I hope you like it'd been a while since I wrote anything.

"Naruto Uzumaki to the Headmasters office; I repeat Naruto Uzumaki to the Headmasters office." Sasuke, Kiba and Gaara who had been eating lunch with Naruto on the roof turned to look at him with confusion in their eyes.

"Dude what did you do to get in trouble this time?" Kiba asked as Naruto began to gather his things.

"What? What are you talking about? I've never been in trouble…. Well at least never any serious trouble." While Naruto may have been a trouble maker in the past he decided to put his pranking days behind him and become a serious student when he entered college (especially since he got into this college with the help of Tsunade-baa-chan word and his Jiji-San reputation)

"You get called to the office at leased once a week, I'm sure everybody in the school must know your name by now what with how often you're called to the office!" It was true Naruto did get called in an awful lot.

"Well it's not my fault baa-chan abuses her power to call me in just to talk!" The others just looked at Naru in surprise.

"The Headmaster is your grandmothers?" Sasuke asked in surprised. It shocked Sasuke how little he actually knew about Naruto. Sure he knew his favorite color (Orange) and his favorite animal (foxes) and his favorite food (ramen) but he didn't actually know much about Naruto at all. Not his family or about his past (aside from what he had seen in their years of schooling together). It really made Sasuke remember that he and Naruto had only just become friends.

"Well no she's not really my grandma, see my parents died back when I was a baby and so I was raised by my grandpa. Tsunade was one of my grandpas students and friends of my late parents so she sort of took me under her wing as an honorary grandchild. After my grandpa died she took that roll more serious than before and if I don't go see her at least once a day she'll call me into her office and make a fool out of me. Sadly for me, she deems when she wants to see me no matter when I'm doing." Naruto said this as he put the last book in his bag. "Better not keep her waiting or else she might go one the speaker herself and make a scene."

"Call me when you're done talking with her. I was thinking we all could go out to dinner but I need to know when your last lecture is compared to ours." Sasuke said as Naruto was about to leave through the door. Naruto could feel his heart beat up at the idea of going out to dinner with Sasuke even if Gaara and Kiba would be coming with them. He gave Sasuke a thumbs up and rush down the stairs before anyone could notice him blushing.

Naruto really didn't want to seem his baa-chan right now. Every time they see each other Tsunade either tried to talk to Naruto about the surgery or just looks plain sad. He hated that he was the cause of such pain on Tsunade's but he knew that neither of them could afford the surgery even with Jiraiya's help.

"What's up baa-chan?" Naruto as he entered the office while waving thanks to Shizune, Tsunade's secretary and arguably closest friend.

"Get ready to go we're going to the hospital." Tsunade said as she was putting on her jacket.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Naruto asked in confusion.

"Exactly as a I said, you're skipping your last few classes and we're going to the hospital." She grabbed her keys and her purse and started to usher him through the door.

"W-wait baa-chan, what's with the suddenly hospital visit?" Naruto said as he tried to fight Tsunade threw the door. 'Why did she have to be so strong?!'

"You know exactly why now shut up and come or else I will make sure your teachers bombard you with a crap ton of work." Naruto was about to speak but then Tsunade cut him off. "And I mean even more work then you have now."

Naruto, knowing that Tsunade full had the power to do that decided to do the smart thing and shut his mouth.

It was a short trip to the hospital, only 15 minutes or so but to Naruto it felt like forever! The entire way there Tsunade kept looking over at Naruto to make sure he was ok. While Naruto did appreciate the concern it hurt him when he saw that sadness in Tsunade's eyes. Now he wished that he has just kept his mouth shut and never told Tsunade that his heart had felt weird. Things would still be normal between them. There wouldn't be the ever present sadness is Tsunade's eyes, she would yell at him and hit him and treat him like normal. He missed the way they would fool around. Now she treats him like something fragile, he hates it!

"Come on we're here." Tsunade said as she pulled into a parking spot close to the entrance. Before Naruto really knew it he and his baa-chan were already in a room waiting to see the doctor.

"Baa-chan do you really think this is necessary? It's not like I'll ever be able to afford to the surgery and everything that comes with it. Why bother coming to the hospital at this point?" Naruto was not a rich student, even with what his jiji-san had left behind he still didn't have to much money. Sure he has a job but there was only so much to be made working as a waiter in a Ramen shop. He had no insurance and since he wasn't a relative of Tsunade's in any form other then in bond he wasn't allowed to join her's. And even with insurance, the pre-care, surgery, and post-care cost would kill him. He would spend the rest of his life paying it back! That was not a life that sounded fun to live.

"Shut up Naruto! You're doing the consult!" The anger in Tsunade's voice began to drift away, "We're at least going to see what we can do to prolong your life for as long a possible…"

Naruto could feel his heart start to speed up at the tightness in Tsunade's voice. He got up and hugged Tsunade has hard as he could. He didn't want to worry her like this, never in his life did he want to be the reason she drank or cried. Naruto still remembers the night when he found Tsunade drunk as could be while surrounded by pictures of her late brother and fiancée. They has apparently died on a family trip they were taking together and Tsunade had been the only survivor. He could still see the pain in her eyes of that time, it look much the same as now.

"I'm sorry baa-chan…" was all he could manage.

She returned the hug, clinging to him with the tightness of a small child that just reunited with her mom after having been lost. They stayed like that until they heard the door open.

"Sorry to interrupt such a nice moment but I do have other appointments today." A very smooth but kind of familiar voice said as he entered the room. There stood a tall pale man with dark hair and ebon eyes, in a long white doctors jacket over a suit.

Naruto couldn't help but compare the man to Sasuke. The man was handsome sure but if he had to choose Sasuke was way better looking then this guy.

"Ah yeah sorry… Ah what's up doc?" Naruto said as he let go a Tsunade and scratch the back of his head.

"Nothing much just hoping we can begin now, I understand that the situation that you are in is not the best mr.?"

"Oh ah Uzumaki, Naruto Uzumaki. Yeah it's not ideal that for sure."

"I'm sure it isn't… My name is Itachi Uchiha and I'll be your doctor for this evening." At that Naruto felt his blood run cold.

"U-Uchiha? As in like S-Sasuke Uchiha?" No no there is no way God would be this cruel to him then to have a relative of Sasuke as his doctor right?

"Exactly like that, I'm his brother." Naruto could fill panic building up inside of him.

"N-No! You can't be!" Naruto's heart began to hurt, "B-brother? Seriously!" His breath was becoming short and frantic. "Please tell me you're joking please …. Joking…" Naruto was getting lost in the pain of his chest. He clutched it as he crumpled to the ground. He could feel his heart beat, the arithmetic pattern, the wrongness of it. He was barely aware of the voices beside him, they sounded so distant and unclear, like he was underwater and someone was talking to him. Suddenly he felt arms wrap around him and a voice in his ear.

"Calm down, focus in my voice and your breathing. There is nothing wrong, just think of the in and out of your breath." Naruto took the voices advice and and focused on his breathing. Gradually his heart was beating at a not as unsteady but still not perfect pace. He was able to breath easier and even the pain was lessening. Suddenly he was back in the doctors office instead of in the cloud of panic and pain he was in before. Tsunade's face was covered in tears and a nurse was holding her back from going to Naruto. The arms that were wrapped around Naruto released him and helped him to his feet again. He realized that it was his doctor, Sasuke's brother that had helped him.

"Naruto!? Naruto are you ok?" Tsunade must have broken of out the nurses hold because she was suddenly in front of him, grabbing hold of his shoulders with her trembling hands. "Naruto answer me!"

"Yeah…" His voice felt raw for some reason.

"God Naruto what was that? All of a sudden you were on the ground clutching your chest, gasping for air, God Naruto! I was terrified, are you ok?" Tsunade at this point had pulled Naruto into a hug. Naruto, lacking the strength to neither return the hug or get out of her embrace, leaned into Tsunade's warmth, her solidness.

"Naruto has that ever happened before?" Uchiha-sensei asked as he motioned for the nurse to leave. Tsunade had helped Naruto sit down before sitting down next to him.

"Y-yeah I think so, not exactly like that before though."

"Can you describe the other times? What you were doing and such."

"Um y-yeah, I was sleeping the first time I thing all I remember was pain but then Sasuke texted me and I woke up and the pain had stopped I don't remember what I was dreaming about. Next time was at the Autumn fest, I was having a good time. I went with Sasuke, Kiba, and Gaara and it was a lot of fun! But then I stared to feel funny so I excused myself and shortly after that all I felt was pain. It wasn't for long though, just like pain and then nothing." Tsunade let out a gasp of shock at the information of Naruto having gone through this before.

"And this times was there a warning like with the last time?"

Naruto thought about this for a second. "…I – I don't thing so, I was just so panicked about you being Sasuke's brother then pain and shortness of breath and…water."

Itachi raised an eyebrow at that. "Water? What do you mean?"

"I-it was like I was underwater, my hearing got clogged and it was like I was underwater or something."

Itachi took a moment to absorbed this information. "Well from what you have told me it seems like different things with trigger different types of attacks, panic, fear, excitement, they can all lead to an attack it seems. From now on you must be careful Naruto, don't overexert yourself, try not to get to excited, keep a level head, even if it's slight doing these things will prolong your life."

Naruto thought about what Itachi said while ignoring Tsunade's promise that he will do just that. "I won't promise anything." Naruto said surprising himself as much as he surprised and Tsunade and Itachi. "Life wouldn't be worth much if I didn't do the things that excite me, and wile it's risky I was to life the rest of my life without regret. That why I stopped fighting with Sasuke, that's why I ride my bike instead of walking, it makes life worth living."

Itachi had to give his respect to Naruto, he certainly was different 'I think I can see why Sasuke is so taken with you…'

"On a personal note can I ask that you don't tell Sasuke about this, about my illness… I don't want to see him worry. It kills me seeing the sadness in baa-chan's eyes I don't wanna see it in Sasuke's."

Tsunade had though she has been doing a good job of keeping her sadness in check… She didn't want Naruto to feel sad or burden by her sadness. She'll have to try harder to not think about this while Naruto is around.

"Don't worry nothing will break my patient-doctor confidentiality. But are you sure you don't want to tell Sasuke? He could help."

"I'm sure. I wanna enjoy my time with him. Even if it's not exactly how I'd like it to be being friends right now makes me happier then I could have hoped."

Itachi took a mental note of Naruto's wording. 'Well now I wonder what he meant by that… Maybe Sasuke's crush isn't in vain.'

"I would like to see you again next week if possible, to monitor you and see how quickly your disease is progressing."

"Sorry no can do. That would be to much money that I don't have. Baa-chan forced me to come to this one there probably won't be a second time."

"Naruto! What do you mean you won't come? Think about this for a sec!" Tsunade said in an outraged voice. No way was she going to let Naruto not go to a doctor.

"I've made up my mind. Now I'm sure the doctor is busy and baa-chan you have some meeting to go to. Itachi it was nice to meet you and if we ever meet again let pretend we have no idea who we are." Naruto, who has apparently regained his strength, quickly got up and rushed out the door leaving the doctor and an angry Tsunade behind. Instead of trying to brave a car ride with Tsunade he quickly got into a cab that had just dropped a pregnant off. After give the instruction of where to go Naruto let himself relax, resting his head against the glass. When his phone dinged he has thought that Tsunade has texted him demanding he goes back to hospital so they could go home together but instead it as Sasuke questioning why Naruto never texted him. He hadn't realized just how late it had gotten. He had missed most of his last class of the day and saw no reason to go now.

To Sasuke:

Sorry got busy talking with baa-chan, I'm done with classes for the day, where were you thinking for dinner?

No matter how long he had left he was going to enjoy his time with Sasuke damn it, he will keep him from finding out for as long as he can.

So yeah that was my new chapter. I am sorry that it took me well years to get a new chapter out. I think I'll just focus on this story and maybe another one before a work on my other stories. I hope you enjoy it and hopefully I'll be able to keep with updating on a semi regular schedule.
