Hello, Doctor

Disclaimer: Yeah, I own it all… but just know that I also own the whole Final Fantasy game series and Sony and Nintendo and Disney and everything. IM RICH BITCH! No really that was all a lie…

Like I said, this story ain't over yet. But I am SUPER busy. Lead in the opera, recitals, singing around the city (I'm kind of a big deal lol not really). But it's really been a crazy few years since I've been on here regularly.

Chapter 44

One thing I would have never guessed would happen has to be the way Sora's popularity exploded with Disney. His face is everywhere I look, which is both amazing and exciting.

But it definitely marks a change in the dynamics of our home life; nothing terrible or scary, just different. Having a celebrity as a fiancé is mind-boggling.

All of a sudden, there are hundreds of other people claiming to know and love Sora like they know him.

Like I said, I'm not worried, just a little amazed at how all of this panned out. I'm just happy that Sora and Kairi are loving the joys of being part of the Disney world.

And to be honest, I kind of love it too.

Sora's been busy with photo shoots, interviews, conventions, and all of the stuff that comes with being the voice of Prince Claude. Which leaves me to be the unbusy parent.

Let me tell you, being a doctor and not busy at the same time is almost impossible. But I've managed to figure out a routine where I can still drop off and pick up Kairi from school and stay home for a few hours to cook and be with Kairi and Goro.

Sora, almost every second he has to himself, spends it on Kairi and I. But lately it hasn't been that often. I'm surprised however that people still don't really know too much about Sora's personal life.

Part of me is glad.

And another part of me, the possessive part, really wants the public to see that Sora is not available for anyone, especially groupies!

With a sigh, I looked back at the computer screen. I decided that I would try my hand at publishing a text. It's mostly about bedside manner with kids and how much it can affect your results. I've gotten a good amount of pages on it and the experience has been really fulfilling. With a yawn I let my hands do their thing on the keyboard. It was going on eleven o'clock and I could feel my eyes getting kind of tired.

"Still at it?" I stiffened a little at the sound of Sora's voice behind me. I turned and gave my fiancé a smile.

"I didn't hear you come in. How was work?" I asked.

"Brilliant! We had our final read through and I am loving these actors. My only complaint would be the fact that I actually have to sing… I can understand being paid to act, but to sing? That makes me nervous. Vincent told me we were going to start voice lessons soon," Sora explained as he made his way over to my chair.

I smiled at Sora before pulling him into my lap. "I have faith in you. You sang through the entirety of Beauty and the Beast and every other movie Kairi has made us watch," I replied with a chuckle.

Sora shrugged a little before straddling my legs and wrapping his arms around my neck. "I also have really good news!" Sora said before sending me a happy grin.

"What?" I asked and kissed his nose.

"There's a terribly fancy promo event in two days and you and Kairi are invited!" he said and I smiled.

"Oh really? And when exactly is this event so I can get Zex to cover me?" I asked as Sora pressed his body closer to me.

"It's starts at six. And because it's Disney, it will be kid friendly and super awesome. I thought it would be a great opportunity for both of you guys to get to meet some of the people I work with," Sora explained and I captured his mouth in a kiss before pulling back to speak.

"Sounds great. But what are we wearing?" I asked.

"They told me not to worry about that. When I told them I wanted to bring my family, one of the publicity agents said she wanted to hire someone to dress us. That way we can look like a normal celebrity family. Isn't that crazy? Us, a celebrity family! I guess we're kind of important, huh?" Sora smirked before biting my bottom lip.

"That's actually kind of amazing, Sora. I can't wait," I said, well tried to with my bottom lip between Sora's teeth.

"I also thought I would formally announce our engagement… you know make it publicly official…" Sora trailed off and I got a good grip on Sora before picking him up as I stood.

"I think you want to get laid tonight, is that what you're trying to do?" I teased with a suggesting grope.

Sora yelped playfully at my handsy-ness before grinding against me. "Actually, no… but I'm certainly not opposed to the idea," Sora said and let go of me with one hand to begin to take my shirt off.

I slowly made my way up the stairs with Sora in my arms and when we finally made it to the bedroom I allowed myself one private thought before having my way with the love of my life:

At the end of the day, celebrity or not, Sora's heart belonged solely to me and this family.

-Hello, Doctor-

"So Vincent said that we should just go in," I said after hanging up the phone with my manager.

"Am I really gonna get to wear a fancy dress, daddy?" Kairi asked as she took my hand.

I smiled down at my daughter and wrapped my other arm around Riku's waist. "Yeah! We're all going to wear really fancy designer clothes! Sugoi desu ka?" I asked and Kairi seemed to bounce as we moved towards the designer's studio.

"Hai!" Kairi piped as we made our way inside.

The studio was all white, with beautiful fabrics and designs all over. I looked down at Kairi to watch her face light up.

"Otou-san! Suteki da ne? Mitte!" Kairi gushed and pointed at a deep green gown with lace and jewels.

"Kirei…" Riku said, seemingly surprised at how pretty it was.

"Do you think those are real gems on that dress?" I asked as Kairi pulled me over for a closer look.

"I don't really know, babe. It's not like I'm a jewel appraisalist or something," Riku chuckled and I lifted my hand to touch the top of the stone.

"Sora, what have we said about touching things that you probably can't afford?" I jumped at the sound of my manager's voice and turned around to see him standing next to a blonde.

I nudged Riku gently as I could hear him laughing at me. "Sorry, I was just going to touch lightly, I promise!" I squeaked embarrassingly.

"Daddy, you're silly!" Kairi giggled and I cleared my throat.

"This is the designer, Quistis. She wanted to get a good look at all three of you before making her final decision," Vincent said and Quistis smiled.

"I was really excited when one of the Disney agents said they wanted me to dress you guys. I wasn't really sure what I was getting into, but I'm glad I agreed. You three are already so beautiful," she said and walked up to Kairi.

"Hello, little one. Would you like to wear a long dress or a short one to the party?" Quistis asked Kairi in a gentle voice.

"Ummm… short. I don't want to trip on a long one," Kairi said and I was impressed by her thinking.

"Wonderful, since all of you have beautiful pairs of blue or green eyes. I'm thinking we chose colors to bring them out. Would you like to get started?" Quistis asked and Kairi nodded enthusiastically.

"There are three dressing rooms. Sora's is on the far left and Riku's on the right with Kairi in the middle. I want you guys to try on the second design. It's marked with a 2, you can't miss it," Quistis said and I turned to my daughter.

"Do you mind if Ms. Quistis helps you with your dress, Kairi-cat?" I asked and Kairi shook her head.

"Why don't you go in and check it out, Ri-chan?" Riku said before kissing her head and turning to me.

"I want to see both of you when you're dressed," he added and I smiled.

"Tou-san! I wanna see you too!" Kairi said before walking over to her dressing room.

"No one leaves this building without my final approval, however," Vincent added and I laughed.

"Of course, my gracious leader! I wouldn't dream of ever defying your fair and all-knowing demands," I said in a British accent.

Vincent cringed. "We need to work on that accent for sure," he replied.

"First things first, I must try on the royal garb!" I joked further and turned to Riku. "Riku likes my accent, right?" I asked and Riku chuckled.

"I'm not taking any sides on this one, Sora," Riku answered and kissed my head as well before heading off to his room.

"Fine then, I see how it is! You only ever loved me for my riches!" I cried, British accent still going strong.

"Get dressed, Sora," Riku called from his room and I shook my head before heading inside my own dressing room.

Both the designs were beautiful. But I agreed that the second one would be more promising. I always liked blue jackets more.

I put on what looked like a normal tux shirt and pulled on a blue tux, with tails. It was really neat actually and it looked so fancy. The shoes were light orangey brown wing tip saddle oxfords, and the bow tie was a beautiful burnt orange. I walked out of the room and gasped at the sight of Riku, straightening out his clothes.

"Wow, Riku you look…" I said, speechless.

His eyes shifted to me and I watched him look me up and down. "Come here," he said.

I walked over to him and he took my bowtie. "I figured you probably wouldn't know how to tie a bowtie," he said softly as he began to put it on for me.

"You look so good, Riku!" I blurted awkwardly, and then looked away, flush rising.

Riku chuckled, the sound ringing right through me. He looked at me with those eyes and I wished that I could propose to him again.

"Quistis really knows what she's doing. Your eyes are so blue, I can't look away," Riku said and I smiled.

"No kidding! You look like a royal James Bond, Cassanova! I can't really figure out if I want you to keep your clothes on or if I want to tear them o-"

"There will be no damaging of the designs whatsoever or there will be hell to pay," Vincent voice called and I smiled.

"No, that would be a shame," I said and moved closer to kiss Riku but he backed away.

"Hey!" I whined.

"I finished," Riku said and gestured to my bowtie.

I looked in the mirror and grinned. "I look pretty darn good, if I do say so myself!"

"You do," he said and I looked at him through the mirror. His jacket and pants were a dark silver with a navy shirt underneath. He didn't have a tie or anything, in fact he had a few buttons left open. His shoes were similar to mine only his also had navy incorporated in the design. "Look," he said and showed me his cufflinks. "We match." The links were silver with a burnt orange stone.

"Daddy, Tou-san! Look at me!" Kairi's voice sounded so excited and we both turned to see her in a beautiful orange dress with silver jewels everywhere and cute little blue shoes.

"Wow! Kairi! You are the most beautiful lady in all the land and everyone will be jealous of how wonderful you are!" I shouted and scooped her up and placed ten or so kisses all over her face.

"Daddy!" she squealed and I put her back down.

Riku bent down to her level and leaned in to whisper something in her ear. Kairi's smile brightened. "Arigatou, Tou-san," she said almost shyly.

Riku smiled at her and placed a kiss on her head. "These designs are breathtaking, really," he said turning to Quistis.

"It was really my pleasure. Have fun at the Gala," she said and turned to Vincent. "Are you pleased?" she asked.

Vincent gave a very stern face, but I knew that that just meant he was trying not to smile.

"They will do," he says and I laughed.

"We'll be the best looking members of the party!"

Quistis smiled and looked at the three of us. "I wanted something that represented you three well. Sora's design is professional, yet quirky and fun. Riku's is cool, neutral and yet with a small pop of orange to symbolize his burning love for Sora and Kairi. And finally Kairi, is the true life behind the love. Her design is strong, youthful, and bold. Her design incorporates the essentials of both Sora's and Riku's designs. Bright, loving orange, cool silver jewels that catch the eye, and a blue shoe to tie it all together," she explained.

"I know this is going to sound so dumb, but I really never thought that there would be so much thought put into the outfits we were going to wear. Sometimes I forget that there is so much more hidden behind the scenes of any professional field. Really thank you for dressing us," I said and Vincent nodded.

"Now that Sora is done schmoozing, I believe you three have a party to attend?" I laughed and turned to Quistis.

"Everyone enjoys a good schmooze sometimes, right?" I asked.

The designer smiled before speaking. "I really couldn't have had a better group of people represent my designs. Really, have fun and be yourselves, and that will be the best way to give my designs the representation they deserve."

Kairi did a little twirl before curtsying. "Yes, ma'am!" Kairi said.

"Are we taking a limo?" Riku asked and I followed his line of sight to the long vehicle waiting outside.

"Of course you are, surely you didn't think you were going to walk out of Sora's car with these clothes on!" Vincent actually laughed.

Riku smirked and wrapped an arm around my waist. "I could actually picture that in vivid detail," he said and I barked a laugh.

"Celebrity is what celebrity does," I drawled in a posh tone of voice. "Now what are we waiting for?" I asked and pulled Kairi and Riku towards the door.

"I'll see you at the party, I always arrive fashionably late," Vincent said and I smiled at him.

"See you there!" I said.

"Bye!" Kairi yelped before moving faster towards the front door.

I could tell this night was going to be great.

A/N: Hope you liked this chapter, next chapter is the promotional Gala. And I've been slowly writing for my other stories too, it's just hard to finish when you had to be a functioning adult with rent and bills and stuff. But I am alive and well!
