Sookie took a breath in, looking to the vampire that had seemed to appear over her prone form. Godric's hands didn't even brush Sookie as Kathy was swept from her.

He didn't go far. A sound left Godric, Kathy's limp form hugged to him. A hand held her face to press against his.

Sookie could do nothing but sit up a bit and stare. A hollow, painful sound came from his knees as he dropped with her. He was muttering too quietly for her to hear. Either way, she wouldn't have known it. Kathy wouldn't have known it. Something from Godric's human years.

Eric did nothing to disturb his maker. He knew better. Godric made another of those sounds as Sookie slowly stood, a small distance from where he was with Kathy. At this position, she could see him better now. It was a bit of a sob.

Sookie had known Godric cared deeply for Kathy. But… She had never known the vampire to show such emotion. Let alone cry. It was heart wrenching to watch. A weighted pull tugged sat Sookie's own heart as she watched. She bit her lips, one hand lifting to press to her trembling lips. The other held over her heart as if to forcefully hold it there.

Kathy looked like an entirely different person. Her form had changed more than just those markings. Her middle held a little more fat to it. Nothing bad, but she had been unable to gain weight no matter her tries. Her breasts had enlarged.

Sookie's eyes shot wide, hand suddenly there to stifle the gasp.

"Oh my gosh," Sookie utters softly in horror.

Kathy had always been different when Sookie tried to read her. But now, there was something that kept flashing in Kathy's mind. Thoughts distorted, mangled and twisted.

"Godric?"

All froze. Godric's eyes were wide and his arms nearly crushing her. That voice, it was still Kathy. She sounded so wounded, confused, and tired.

A pale marked hand lifted from the ground by Godric's leg. Eric was still as he watched, just as Sookie did. The hand touched his damp face. He relaxed his hold, allowing her to shift enough in his hold to see his face.

"She doesn't know," Sookie utters with a sense of worried urgency to those around them.

Godric didn't look from those storm cloud esc eyes as those flashes of light wove through them.

"Is something wrong?"
"No, Kathy," he says softly, hand leaving her hair to cup her face.

It was like a click. Her head tilted, eyes seeming so unfocused.

"Who are you?"

All were still. Godric frowned a bit. She was still, rather like a lost child.

"I am Godric."

She blinked, hand falling to flop to the ground. She frowned, searching his face.

"Who am I?"

Sookie choked back a sob. Kathy's hand was lightly twitching. There, on the back of it was a circle of what looked like flesh that had attempted to melt like candle wax. It was long healed, but painful to behold. Godric swallowed, taking a breath before speaking in a calm tone.

"You are Kathy."

"Kathy?" She said the name, as if it would help.

She grinned up at him. It was that bright grin that had won so many hearts. That friendliness radiated from her.

"Hello, Godric."

Eric took a step back, horrified.

"What is wrong with her?" It was hardly heard.

Kathy's head whipped back to look at him. Those eyes flashed in threat before she relaxed, grinning at him. The unfocused look vanished.

"Eric!" She cried it out in happiness. It was a greeting with such warmth, one he was used to. The scarred hand lifted out toward him. "Look who's here." Her other hand curled around Godric's neck as she lifted to hug the man lightly.

"What is wrong?!" Eric snarls to Godric. His eyes flashed to Sookie, angry as he wanted answers.

Godric lightly held Kathy's face, focusing her attention to him. He gave a patient smile to her.

"Kathy, you must be very tired."

She yawned, as if it was all a reminder. Her head nodded, hand covering her mouth as she suddenly leaned against him, head to his shoulder.

"I don't feel good."

Sookie's teeth were clenched, eyes shut tight as she focused on not listening in to Kathy. It was like a switch, Kathy was lightly breathing against Godric. It was like a light snore.

Godric held her to him, fingers brushing down the side of her face. He wouldn't look from her, as if she would vanish if he looked away.

"The last dose is still in her system," he says softly. "It will take almost a day for it to wear off."

Eric seemed to relax at that. It was still a glimmer of hope that Kathy would be fine. Sookie came forward.

"Sam kept some of her things. Most of it actually."

Godric brushed a hand over Kathy's face, slow as a lover's caress. "I shall take her to our dwelling and watch over her."

Eric felt his heart clench at the emotions on his maker's face. He'd see a new side to this man since the arrival of this woman. An odd creature indeed. She had the both of them nearly bound to her. Nearly as bound as she was to them. She would give anything for them. She had proven it time and time again.

Godric slowly looked up toward his childe. The smallest hint of apology there in those eyes.

"I will bind her while she is still delirious."

Eric almost wished to fight that. She would hate him for it. Eric could never allow her to hate Godric. He could stand her hate. But, he knew she would forgive Godric. He would only be doing what she had all but begged so long ago. Late, but it seemed Godric was more than willing now.

Sookie was rather lost as she looked to them. "What do you mean bind? Like turn her?"

Eric shot the human woman a rather disgusted look. "Do not be foolish." He turned to her fully. "Return to your home and tell none of this."

"The police are still looking for her," Sookie counters angrily. "A lot of people are worried for her."

Eric's hand swept toward his rising maker with Kathy's limp form in his hold. "She is not in a state they would recognize! She will come out when it is safe! Leave!"

It was everything in her to not mention Kathy. And yet, she would think back to her constantly. Those images. The horrors she had gone through. She hoped to God that Kathy never remembered them.

Sookie stepped up to the now remodeled mansion like home. She wasn't really sure why she came, but she thought Bill could help. Eric hadn't returned a call or message since that day a week back.

The guards let her in with little word to her. Bill was there to greet her in the entrance. His arms opened a little in a welcoming gesture with a faint smile.

"Good evening, Sookie. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Sookie looked a bit defeated as she looked to him. "Bill, I'm so sorry. I should have told you before."

His hands slid to his pockets, look rather guarded as he looked to her. He was ready for some kind of bombshell. Sookie was fidgeting with the strap to her purse, not really looking to meet his eyes. There was a soft rim of tears at her lashes. She looked near broken.

"But Eric told me not to tell and I just can't not say anything," she rushed out.

"Eric?" Bill cut, tone frigid and look sharp. "What of him?"

Sookie was too lost in this heart felt confessional, head lifting to look toward the light to fight the tears.

"And dear God," she gushed with a bit of pain. "Just seeing it, broken as it was, near devastated me."

Hands clasped her shoulders quickly, trying to catch her eye. "Sookie, Sookie," Bill urges. "You aren't making sense."

Sookie looked right at him, a tear trailing down her cheek. "Oh, Bill. I'm not sure she's even coming back. Not the her we all knew. Not after all of that."

Bill felt his cold heart fill with a dread. "Who, Sookie?"

Sookie shook her head, hand lifting to brush at her eyes. "Godric and Eric were able to get Kathy back." She cleared her throat. "No. Katnymel zo Cre … Oh God! Even the name is so hard to say!"

Bill's eyes flashed wide, hands clenching a bit tighter as he gave a small shake to draw her back into the now. "Sookie. You saw this?"

She nodded, looking into his eyes without fault. "After Sam told me she was gone, I went to talk to Eric. It was all too odd. But when I got there, they were doing some odd magical ritual. And this portal opened and two of her kind shoved her through. I had to pull her clear. And…and" She cut off to close her eyes and take a shuddering breath. "It was the best feeling ever and the worst. But, she's changed. They drugged her and she's just-" Her hand motioned at her head almost helplessly to get her point across.

"She's not mentally stable?"

Bill looked guarded, but a bit angry. Sookie nodded. "And Godric said something about binding her and Eric got defensive of me knowing any of this. But I couldn't just leave it, Bill. Kathy was, is, a dear friend and everyone is so worried. I can't just keep lying to them all when she just back at their-"

Bill's fangs snapped down, eyes locked on the door behind Sookie. Sookie blinked as she was suddenly behind Bill. Bill seemed to listen a moment before moving forward toward the doors. It was useless. The things swung open with an unseen force.

A girlish giggle came from the dark of the yard. Sookie took a step back, eyes wide at the pitch black that had been so well lit.

Then, light burst to nearly blinding before the steps of the house. Blue and purple locks danced in an unnatural breeze, electric visibly and audibly crackling over the whole form. Those marks blazing proudly against the pale flesh that emitted the strong light. Pale pink lips curved a beautiful smile that had Sookie's heart catch.

Stormy eyes nearly closed with the happy smile as her head tilted a bit. She wore her favored short skirt and layored tops. Though, she showed the whole of her legs without leggings or stockings, even flashing cleavage. Her arms extended at her sides happily, as if in a cheer.

"I found you~!" she sing-songed. "I knew I felt something~!"

"Kathy!"

A voice nearly snarled from behind. Eric was there in a breeze. He looked as if he wanted to be furious, but those blue eyes looked nearly pained. Kathy was not in her right mind. Sookie knew it, could read it. The light around her dimmed a little, things thumping around in the darkness behind them. One hand went to her mouth rather like a child who had been caught.

"Oh!"

"Eric."

"Not now, Bill," Eric snarled, not looking from Kathy. One hand was held out, impatient. She gave a childish tantrum, fists pumping at her sides.

"No! I don't want to stay inside! You're so mean!"

Bill's anger slipped as he truly saw what was before him. Sookie sniffled, stepping up toward the girl slowly. Storming eyes snapped to the woman as she slowly stepped toward her. Bill didn't stop her, knowing better. Kathy would not harm her. Eric said nothing, flicking his eyes between the two. Kathy was set upon Sookie in wonder.

"You're fey," she uttered out as it if were such a mystical thing. Then she looked brokenly up at Sookie, eyes pleading. "Can you make it stop? "
Sookie was silently crying as she looked at Kathy. "Oh, Kathy," she breathed, opening her arms.

Kathy looked toward Sookie, confused. Slowly, one bare foot lifted, stepping toward her.

"Why do people keep crying at me?" She never spoke above a whisper as the lights around the yard and porch lit up. The limp forms of the guards lay like dolls scattered. Bill pulled in a useless breath as his eyes went to very wide at the devastation to his guards. She'd never made sound. Disturbed nothing in the yard but the guards. His eyes snapped to her, really seeing her. Her power was stronger, different.

Sookie 's shaking hands moved out to lightly grasp the sides of her face. Kathy blinked, hoping to gain some form of answer. She spared one look at Eric. He looked so ready to break. Then she was looking back at Kathy. A watery smile pulled at Sookie as she gathered herself.

"Hello, Katnymel zo Cre Mvlictow, Kathy. I am Sookie Stackhouse."

Kathy relaxed so pliant into her hands, eyes seeming to sparkle as the flashes dimmed a little with less frustration to ease.

"Hello, Sookie." That smile that had been graced upon her for the whole of their friendship was given, making Sookie's breath hitch as she fought off more tears and a sob.

Pulling in a sniffling breath, swallowing thickly, Sookie gave a half hearted smile back. Kathy didn't seem deterred by this. Her hand lifted, resting over the wrists to the hands that held her face.

"I'm going to help you, Kathy," Sookie whispers, serious as she searched those eyes. Kathy's smile slipped to a curious blank. Her eyes flicking over Sookie's as if to help understand. "And I am so very sorry for this. Eric. Hold her."

Author's Note: I fell, in my heart, that this is how I should end this. I shall give it a few days, to feel this out more before I make the final decision. Honestly, I had planned from the beginning for her to perish with Godric "To the ends of the Earth". But, things ended up changing as time went with the story. Now, I still wish that ending. But, I wish that happiness with Eric. To avoid that devastation that that sort of end would cause him. But, I kind of feel like leaving it in such a way can give some that hope that she did come back. But it could also leave to the imagination of the reader. I don't wish to get too many hopes up. There will be no sequel. I apologize to those that had wished for more, but it is set. This will end. Something I don't do often. I think that's why I leave a lot of my stories. That goodbye to a character is just so hard for me.
