AN: This is the last chapter! I didn't know if I should call it a chapter or an epilogue but this will be the last time I update this story. I feel and I hope you do too that this is a good place to end. I have loved writing this story and I have loved reading the reviews and finding that people enjoyed reading my story. Thank you for your kindness and, of course, thank you for reading.

I have decided I am going to read through all of my FanFiction stories and edit any mistakes or bits I don't like. I still have two stories going: Concrete Angel and A Mistake, and I don't think they will be finished for a little while. But as soon as they are done I may upload more stories, so keep checking for more.

That's all.

Enjoy the last update!

Eight Months Later

Percy

I've wanted this for a while. From the day I met her, I hoped that this day would come. I love her. She loves me. We're not married… not yet. She isn't pregnant… not yet, not until after we marry. We decided to take the next step, and move in together.

These last eight months have been the best. Annabeth and I have gone out more: with the kids and without them. We grew even closer, which I didn't think was possible. And I realised that she was definitely the right woman for me.

"We're here!" Annabeth announces, bringing me out of my trance. I look around and see that we have arrived at our new home that we've decided to share.

It's beautiful and perfect for us.

It's a big house, with four bedrooms and a large attic that Annabeth and I are going to convert into another bedroom or two. There is a front and back garden, both big enough for slides and swing sets for the children. I can imagine the fun we will have in the summer when we have water fights and BBQ's.

The kitchen looks very modern and I can already imagine waking up and making pancakes for everyone I love. The living room is cozy, with a brick fire that will warm us in the winter. I can imagine waking up on Christmas, dressing in a Santa outfit and giving out presents to Annabeth and the children.

The bedroom Annabeth and I will share has an ensuite bathroom and I can imagine waking up every morning with the woman I love wrapped up in my arms. This is the life I have always dreamed of.

"Go on, kids! Go explore your new home," Annabeth says as she opens her door and gets out of the car. I do the same thing and grin as the kids hurry down the path into the house, where two men are already carrying in furniture from the moving van.

Annabeth and I help the men carry boxes into the house and we dump them in the entrance hallway. Once everything is unpacked the house will start to feel like home. I can't wait to decorate. With Annabeth back in work, she knows people who can give us tips on how to decorate, though Annabeth does have good taste herself.

"That's so not fair!" Jess huffs twenty minutes later, as she stomps down the stairs into the hallway where Annabeth and I are opening boxes.

"What is it?" I ask, looking at Jess curiously.

"You two get the ensuite!" she complains.

"Yes, we do. We are the adults," Annabeth grins.

"But that means I have to share with the others," Jess moans.

"They're kids. They hate to be clean. They will be in there less than an hour in one whole day. The bathroom is nearly all yours," I say.

"I guess," Jess replies. "Need any help?"

"Yes, please," Annabeth says. "The guys driving the moving van have unloaded everything and have left. Percy and I are starting to open boxes so we know which room to put them in."

Jess starts helping us, opening the boxes and then taking them into the room they belong in. "I can't wait for this place to be home," Annabeth sighs as we dump a few boxes in the living room.

"Same," I reply, wrapping my arms around her from behind. "This will all feel real when everything is set up. Right now it just feels like a crazy dream, I'm scared to wake up."

"Well, you're not going to wake up. This is real, Percy," Annabeth whispers as she turns around in my arms. She wraps her arms around my neck and presses her lips softly against mine.

I smile against her lips. "We should christen the house," I whisper, hoping Jess can't hear us.

"Not now," Annabeth teases.

"Obviously," I roll my eyes. "We'll send the kids out some time this week so we can get to know the house a little bit more."

Annabeth laughs. "Sounds like a plan," she smiles, and kisses me again.

"Hey!" Jess snaps, carrying a box into the room. "You have a bedroom where you can do that! There better be a lock on your door, otherwise the kids could be scarred for life!"

I frown, glancing at Annabeth, and ask once Jess leaves the room, "We do have a lock on our door, right?"

She shrugs. "I'm not sure. You should probably check and if there isn't you better buy one."

"I will. The quicker the lock is on our bedroom door, the more fun living with you will be," I say, squeezing Annabeth's hips lightly.

"I agree," she replies with a smirk, before leaving my arms and trailing out of the room, throwing a teasing glance over her shoulder. That woman is going to be the death of me one day.

"Mommy! Mommy!" the twins call from the garden.

"What is it, boys?" Annabeth replies.

"We saw the shop around the block on the way here, can we go buy sweeties? Please," they beg.

"Yes, okay," Annabeth gives in and goes to her purse to get some money. "Take Lilly and Jess with you so you can get to know the neighbourhood."

"Thank you!" the children call and once they find Jess, they run off.

"That was smooth," I tease.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Annabeth says.

"Liar. You were basically kicking them out of the house just so we could be alone for a while," I reply.

"I didn't see you stopping me," she says.

"That's because I didn't want to. I'm not complaining," I grin.

"Good," she says before taking my hand and leading us up the staircase and to the room where Annabeth and I will sleep and do other things.

Thankfully, there is a lock on the door.

"We need to hurry," I say, lifting my shirt over my head as soon as the door is locked and dropping it on the carpeted floor.

"Stop talking and get on with it then," Annabeth says, undressing quickly.

"I feel bad. We haven't been here a whole day yet and we're already at it like horny teenagers," I chuckle.

"We can stop if you want," Annabeth says.

"I don't feel that bad," I reply, before lifting Annabeth. She wraps her thighs around my waist and her nails dig into my shoulders as I press her against the wall.

Our lips meet in a heated kiss and things escalate pretty quickly. Making love to Annabeth now feels so much different to when we did it the first time.

The first time felt right… but it didn't feel right.

I loved Annabeth then but I love her even more now, which makes making love to her feel so much different and special.

By the time the kids arrive back, Annabeth and I are dressed and look presentable. "If only we knew they'd be gone that long," Annabeth sighs as we descend the stairs.

"Look what we have!" the small children squeal with delight as they wave around a large packet of 'HARIBO' sweets.

"Oh, I love them!" I announce.

"You can only have one if you say the magic word!" Lilly says.

"The magic word? Hmm… abracadabra?" I try and the children burst into laughter. "What? Is that the wrong answer?"

"He'll never guess!" Connor laughs.

"Let's just give him one," Travis says and holds the open packet out to me.

I bury my hand inside and move it around, taking a while to pick one. "Hurry!" Lilly huffs and I pull my hand back to find that I got a hold of a jelly ring.

"My favourite," I say, looking at the red 'band' with the 'white' diamond fondly. I smile to myself as an idea pops into my head.

I turn to the woman next to me and take her hand. She looks at me curiously as I go down on one knee. Her eyes widen and mouth opens slightly as I hold out the jelly sweet to her with my free hand.

"Annabeth Chase, the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend… I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I hope you want the same. This proposal is an 'in-the-moment' thing and I apologise that the diamond ring is made from jelly and I'm scared to death right now but-"

Annabeth's hand covers my mouth to stop me from rambling on. She pulls it away when I'm silent. I smile up at her and then look at the four surprised children beside me. Jess nods to make me continue and I look back to her mother.

"Annabeth, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" she replies immediately. "Yes, yes, yes. A million times yes!"

The children clap and cheer as I rise back onto my two feet and slide the jelly ring onto her finger. Annabeth holds my face between her two hands before pressing her lips against mine, expressing all her love for me in that one kiss.

She pulls back but rests her forehead against mine. As we look into each other's eyes I know I did the right thing. "Thank you," I whisper.

"No," she whispers back. "Thank you. Thank you for waiting for me."

I reply with the words that I know are true, "You are worth waiting for."
