A very short chapter, just wanted to prove I'm going finish this now after a two year break, if you're still reading thank you. I'm going to edit the whole thing when I've finally finished!

"He's dead." Hermione slowly turned her head to look at the body slumped at her side. "You killed him Draco." Her voice was rasping and raw, Draco winced at the sound.

"Yes I killed the dirty bastard, I gave him the death he would despise, a muggle one. I want my knife back,I want to wipe it clean of his filthy blood." Hermione turned away; Draco let go of her to grasp the dripping red hilt of the dagger, pulling it with some difficulty from McNair's neck. He wiped it clean on the death eaters cloak and kicked the corpse hard in the head, dissatisfied he backed up to do it again. "Draco no, enough it's enough." Hermione reached out to him. He ignored the outstretched arms. With heavy breaths he stared at his hands. "I've murdered him. His bloods is on me, actual blood! It's on my hands." He dropped the dagger, frantic he tried to clean his hands against his cloak fighting back the urge to retch. Hermione staggered to her feet. "Draco we need to go we can't be found with him." The wizard was frozen staring at his hands. "Draco don't think of it, it's not for now." She bent and picked up her wand "Scourgify" she whispered siphoning the blood from her inert friend. "Draco we need to go." She pulled at his hand, he slowly bent down lifting his dagger from the floor, shuddering as he did so, placing it inside his cloak. "Ok let's go find my god father, if he's a traitor I'm going kill him too, I might as well be a serial killer." Hermione slipped her arm in his. "This is not murder this is self defence, Severus is not a traitor, He's not! I know he's not, just as I know you're a hero, I know he's one too." Draco shrugged

"come on then, let's find him together."

The kitsune led the way through the dark yet shimmering passage."May I enquire as to our destination?" Snape drawled. "You may, we are fetching the prophecy." "Ah, and you need me to retrieve it, the prophesy has my name on it, but why would you need it, I can tell you what it says."

"I don't need you to retrieve it, I'm also named on the prophesy, as to it's contents I know it very well, it's use, you will find out, you need to have patience dear." Snape snarled and snapped back; "Patience I have in abundance, trust, faith and reason, they are shrinking by the second." Snape paused, made an irritated gesture and sighed. "How stupid, of course you're in the prophesy 'the fox does protect safe and sound' but you are not named on the bottle, only the named can retrieve." "Oh but I am Severus, I'm the eroteme, the unknown"

"So the bloody question mark then. You're really testing what I believed to be my plentiful patience. Who are you?" "Please wait, please be careful Severus, it would be unwise to offend me. You will discover my identity, you maybe very closely connected to me. Time will reveal." "At the proper moment?" He sneered. "Yes Severus at the proper moment." They approached a door. The spell was cast, they entered the room, the sound from within was deafening after the silence."The time room" they said in unison.

The room was filled with beautiful, dancing, diamond-sparkling light. Snape winced at the change from the darkness and waited for his eyes to adjust. Clocks were on every surface, a busy, relentless ticking filled the place like thousands of minuscule, marching footsteps. The light emanated from a huge crystal bell jar standing at the far end of the room. "It's like watching our lives march away, each minute a minute lost." Mused Snape. "Morbid Severus, each minute is a minute survived. This way." She walked towards the next door. Severus followed glad to be leaving the noise of life ebbing away."

The second door opened and there before then was the hall of prophesy.
