Dib's heart stopped. His breath got caught in his throat. He couldn't process what he was told.

"Wh-What?" he finally managed to stutter. "Y-You... You're lying! I-It's not true! He can't die! Zim!" he shoved the bringer of bad news away, running to Zim's house. He pounded on the door, tears streaming down his face as it opened with little resistance.

"Z-Zim! Zim! Where are you?"

Gir walked over to Dib. His smile was gone and he dragged Zim's stuffed toys behind him.

Dib started to shake, "G-Gir… Wh-Where's Z-Zim?"

Gir started to tear up as well, "H-He… HE'S NEVER GOING TO COME BACK AGAIN!" he started sobbing, dropping everything. Gir hugged Dib's leg hard.

The teen felt his heart shatter. No… He really couldn't be…

"G-Gir… Wh-What… What happened?"

"H-He drowned… T-Turned to goo…."

Dib's heart stopped again, "Z-Zim… S-So… H-He…" tears free-fell down his chin.

Over the next few days, a funeral was held, the 4 people who attended were silent, except for Keef and Gir's crying quietly. Gaz and Dib remained quiet as Zim's remains.

About a week after Zim's death, Dib stood at the dock, looking out over the dark, eerie water. Attached to his ankle was a short bit of rope and two huge cinder blocks.

"Zim… Wait up, I'm coming too."
