I don't own glee.
Henry walked out of his in-laws house and went up to the blue Cadillac. He took a deep breath and opened the door. Inside was his father. Kadence, Blaine, Kurt Aiden and Tristian all made separate offers to drive him, but Henry turned down each and every one. Henry knew that he needed to have his time. He felt that he needed to be an adult about this, but inside his inner child was begging for his daddy.
"Hello son." Patrick said as Henry sat down and buckled his seatbelt.
"Hi dad." Henry said.
The word almost burned on his tongue as he said it. Patrick didn't seem like his dad anymore.
There was an uncomfortable silence that filled the car. Henry cleared his throat and then spoke.
"I made a small chocolate cake for you all. I didn't have time to go to get some wine besides with Kadence being pregnant I don't plan on buying wine for a long time."
Henry then lifted the cake up off of his lap.
"Oh well that's very thoughtful of you." Patrick said. "Did you use your papa's recipe?"
Henry nodded. "Yep. He makes the best chocolate cake."
Henry then looked out the window and seemed to drift off into his memories….
"Papa!" a little Henry exclaimed as he ran up to the kitchen counter. "You making cake?"
"Yes, I am! And it's fresh out of the oven!" His papa giggled.
"Can I has a slice?" Henry said.
Henry reached his little hand over to the pan. Anthony pulled Henry's hand away.
"Not till it cools down." Anthony said. "The pan and cake is still very hot."
Just then the door opened and Patrick walked through. Henry ran up to Patrick.
"Daddy!"
Patrick picked up Henry and kissed his cheek.
"It's little Henry."
Patrick went up and kissed Anthony.
"Is that a new cologne?" Anthony asked him.
"Oh…uh…yeah."
Henry then snapped out of it just as they pulled into a drive way. He then realized that maybe his dad had been cheating all along.
Henry and his dad both got out of the car and went into the house.
"Sweetheart, I am home!" Patrick said. He then turned to Henry. "I think that Levi and you will get along just fine."
Just then a tall man walked out of the kitchen. The man had short brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a loose blue oxford 's eyes flew down to the stomach. Henry knew that this baby had been growing longer than just eight weeks.
After the normal "hellos", Henry had to ask.
"How far along are you Levi?"
"Oh I just passed thirty weeks." Levi answered. "Do you want to feel him kick?"
Henry nodded and placed his hand over Levi's giant stomach. The baby responded and kicked.
Henry smiled. "I guess my half-brother is a very strong little guy."
"I brought over my Papa's famous chocolate cake." Henry said. "He has the best recipe."
"I am sure it is wonderful." Levi smiled. "I'm glad you're making his recipes. He would be happy that you were keeping his traditions alive now that he isn't."
"Wait, what?" Henry asked.
"Why don't we go in the dining room?" Patrick said, hastily.
"Did you think that my Papa was dead?" Henry asked anyway.
Levi tensed up and said. "That's what your father said."
Henry's anger went shooting through the roof as he turned to his father.
"You lied to me!"
"You must sing your scales and your arpeggios!"
The Hummel-Anderson family finished singing at the piano and all laughed.
"Gaga, I love us singing together." Kurt said before pulling the family into a hug.
"I just wish Henry was here." Kadence said. "I know how much he loves to play the piano with you Papa."
"I know, but hey I miss just the four of us singing." Blaine said.
"Besides we need your opinion!" Kurt said.
Kurt went over and grabbed his sketch book.
"It's that time of the year when we pick out our Halloween costumes!"
Tristian sighed heavily. "Dad, come on you should procrastinate a little. It's only August."
"But it's late August." Blaine said. "You know that your dad will not stop till he has every single, tiny detail is perfect."
"So Blaine and I thought about maybe doing a black widow spider where we could paint Blaine's belly red…"
As Kurt was drifting off, Blaine felt his phone vibrate. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw that it was Henry.
Blaine got up and went over in the other room to answer it.
"Hey, Henry." Blaine answered. "What's up?"
Blaine heard a sniffle and then Henry's voice.
"I was wondering if you can come pick me up. I need my dad to come and pick me up."
