Sweet Summer Days

Ch. 1: Cheri Kakao

Viktor Milanov had never been one for sweets. He didn't hate them, of course, he couldn't afford to. You see, while Viktor Milanov never was one for sweets, Dracul Varias was.

A good bit of the nearby population wondered how the two got along so well. (In a manner of speaking.) To put it simply, they were nearly polar opposites. So, while Viktor was never fond of sweets, Dracul had a sweet-tooth the size of Sofia. More than anything Dracul loved cherries.

That would be the reason Viktor found himself in Bucharest, with a cup of cherry cocoa and Dracul in an unusually good mood. Even for him. Cherry cocoa was a new invention of the Romanian's, so of course he had to call Viktor to try it.

It was an interesting beverage, if you could call it that. Dracul had somehow managed to obtain a supply of cocoa beans, ground them up, mashed some cherries, and poured it into a jug of milk. It had a slightly bitter taste, thanks to the cocoa, yet it still retained a slight sweetness.

"You like it?" Dracul has asked, "I call it cherry Kakao."

This had caused quite a bit of confusion with Viktor. "That's Bulgarian," the startled man said.

"Yep, just like you, Vik~" Dracul hummed, as he sipped at his own cocoa.

Viktor sighed. Dracul really was strange, to name a sweet drink after his sugar-hating friend. Although, even Viktor had to admit, it was somewhat endearing. Not that Dracul would ever know that.

"You're crazy, Roro."

The Romanian's head shot up from its position, and Dracul stared at his friend, startled.

"You never call me that!"

Viktor simply shook his head. Oh, Dracul, will you never change? Hopefully.

Viktor Milanov never was one for sweets. But if that crazy Romanian had anything to do with it, maybe he could endure it for a while.

A/n: A few things about this. I wrote it last year, so it's kind of old. Does this count as a drabble..?

There are a lot of different names for Romania and Bulgaria. I like Viktor Milanov and Dracul Varias. Also, Roro is a nickname for Romania that both I and Lithia Sunset use a lot. Thank her for forcing me to post this thing.

It's labeled as complete, but I'm going to add some more one-shots to this story, with plenty of different characters!

See ya!
