Summary: Toshiko and Owen make an observation about Ianto and Jack.
Notes: While walking down the street across from the San Diego Convention Center during Comic-Con, I ended up behind what could have been an Ianto cosplayer or just some hot guy with bark short hair and good taste in suits. His walk inspired this fic. I went into the Marriott lounge to type it up, thinking to use in a fic, but when I was done, I realized it could stand alone. So here it is. A really short fic from me (the next fic I'll be posting soon is over 15K).

Jack and Ianto sat with Tosh and Owen at an outside cafe on Mermaid Quay. Jack's mobile rang and he answered it. Letting out a sigh, Jack looked over to Ianto. "It's Gwen. Apparently she's having trouble with retrieval."

Toshiko smirked and Owen shook his head, muttering about the "bloody stubborn bird". Jack raised an eyebrow in Owen's direction while Ianto attempted to cover a laugh with a fake cough. Jack looked over at Ianto. "Shall we?"

Ianto nodded. "I guess so. We don't want things to get worse, do we?"

"She's to wait and keep anyone who approaches away until we get there," Jack stated and started to stand up.

Ianto followed suit, as well as Toshiko and Owen. Jack looked at them and gestured to sit down. "No need for all of us to go. You two enjoy, unless the remote Rift alert goes off, in which case you'll both handle it if it isn't too much. If it is, call and the rest of us will head over once we get Gwen's elusive tech contained." He smiled at the two and then turned to start walking away.

Toshiko and Owen sat down and watched at Jack and Ianto walked away. Jack swaggered, his open greatcoat billowing behind him. Toshiko raised her eyebrows and then with a giggle, she nudged Owen, indicating toward Ianto.

"Yes, I noticed, Tosh. It seems our Tea Boy has been spending too much time with bloody Harkness," Owen stated.

Toshiko laughed again and together they continued to watch their leader and co-worker go on their way. When they had been having lunch together, Ianto had undone his suit jacket buttons and did not bother with closing the jacket when he left. So from behind, the remaining two watched as Ianto matched Jack's stride, but also had a bit of a swagger too. As he walked, his open suit jacket fluttered behind him from the breeze, causing almost as much an effect as Jack's billowing greatcoat. It was quite an impressive sight to watch and many others along the two men's path stopped to watch them pass.

Toshiko smirked. "I'm not sure if it's an immortal thing or if Jack just has a bad influence on Ianto."

"Not sure either," Owen remarked amused.

"One thing is for certain," Toshiko said, "they most certainly belong together."

"Yeah, I gotta give you that one, Tosh. They actually do. Do you think one day our Tea Boy will be our leader along with ol' Captain Jack there?"

Toshiko smiled. "I hope so, Owen. I really, really hope so."

"Yeah, me too," Owen agreed. He hid his smile behind his coffee cup as he took a drink.
