"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!"

Lucy rubbed her eyes and sat up in her bed, wondering if she was still in a dream. "That voice..." she whispered, walking over to her window. She squinted in the dark, seeing a figure of a person staring up at her through the window.

"Welcome home, Luce!" the person called.

"Natsu?" Lucy blinked. "Natsu, is that you?"

Natsu laughed. "Yeah, it's me! Come down here!" he called.

He looked different. In the 6 years that they had been separated, Natsu definitely changed. He was taller and more muscular; he looked good.

Lucy grinned as she began to climb out of the window and onto a thick tree branch. "Hang on a sec," she said to Natsu.

"Whoa!" he exclaimed, looking amused as she slid down the tree trunk. "I didn't know you had that in you."

When Lucy finally jumped to the ground, she immediately ran up to Natsu and wrapped her arms around his neck. He returned the hug, sliding his arms around her waist. "How did you know I was back from Edolas?" she whispered.

"It's all over the news," Natsu answered. "Everyone's wondering why Jude Heartfilia decided to come back to Earthland."

"I didn't marry Daichi Hokkaido," Lucy said. "I told him that I would stay in Edolas with him as long as I didn't have to marry the prince. He actually listened to me." She smiled. "I mean, my dad loved it in Edolas, so we stayed for a few years, but then all of a sudden, he began to miss Earthland. So... we moved back."

Natsu nodded and pulled away, grabbing her hand. Lucy blushed. "Well, I'm glad you're back," he said. "I knew you would come home eventually. How long has it been?"

"Six years," she answered.

"Wow." Natsu got a nostalgic look on his face. "You've really grown up, Lucy."

Lucy laughed. "Stop trying to act like you're so much older than me. We're the same age."

"Okay, okay." Natsu sighed dramatically. "I still can't believe you're seventeen."

"You're doing it again!"

Natsu grinned at her. "I really did miss you, Lucy."

"I missed you too," she said. "But I'm coming back to Fairy Tail!"

Natsu's eyes widened. "Seriously? Are you still going to learn Celestial Magic?"

Lucy gave him a sly smiled as she pulled three gold keys out of her pocket. "I found these a few months ago. They belonged to my mother."

"That's amazing," Natsu said as he looked at them. "When are you coming back?"

"Whenever I convince my dad, I guess." She shrugged. "I feel like he'll say yes, though. Things are really a lot better between us."

"That's good."

Lucy paused, looking up at Natsu. It was still so weird to see him again after years of being apart. It felt like the time that they had seen each other in Edolas all over again. "I want this to be the last time we haven't seen each other in a while. From now on, let's just stick together, okay?"

"I agree." Natsu smiled. "Let's form a team."

"Good idea," Lucy said. "Team Lucy."

Natsu pouted. "No way! Team Natsu!"

"You're like a little kid!" Lucy remarked. "You haven't changed one bit."

"I could say the same thing about you." Natsu then seemed almost embarrassed. "You've, um, gotten really pretty, you know." He looked away, his cheeks bright red.

"Oh!" Lucy blurted out, taken off guard. "Um, you've gotten really pretty too. I mean... um, handsome. I mean-"

"Lucy, just shut up already," Natsu said as he grabbed the back of her neck and planted a kiss on her lips.

Lucy stood still in shock. "Okay," she whispered as they pulled apart. "Well, that was... sudden."

"Was not." Natsu scoffed. "You've been wanting to kiss me for six years now."

Lucy was about to protest, but then realized that what he had just said was the absolute truth. "Fine," she mumbled, crossing her arms. "I guess you just know me too well."

Natsu slung his arm around her shoulder. "That's right, Princess. You better get used to it."
