With that scream: Part 2

When he stepped into the frame of the portal, he hadn't expected the initial shock when it first hit him. It happened all in slow motion; he tripped and fell, his hand reaching out and smashing against the nearest thing in hopes of saving himself from falling.

A silent hum ran through the frame, lights flashing. He turned as quickly as possible toward his friends, who watched as a bright light filled the portal. It zipped like lightning streaks through the sky in the portal, a bright white light flooding their vision every couple seconds and soon overwhelming it.

But to him, it came right away. Second nearest the light, was the pain. The feeling of the electricity lifting him into the air forcibly and coursing through his body... he screamed. His voice turned coarse and rough and his hands curled in loose fists, sometimes tightening so bad he dug his nails into his pale skin.

Blood. His eyes rolled back into his head. His mouth formed the shape of an oval as he scream bloody murder. His knees eventually buckled, sending him that steel floor, writhing in pain; that scream just escaped his lips without a second thought. That screeching, echoing sound that filled the whole room, flooding the room into a torturous sound. It would have been better to have been tortured...

His only thought was panic and death, he wished it would just kill him. Kill him and end the pain, end that screamed that roared a thousand times worse in his ears.

Eventually it all faded. It hadn't taken more that forty point five seconds.

But that scream just lingered in the air.

Haunting them to their core.

With that scream.
