More angst! But don't worry, I won't leave yall hanging this chapter, I promise! And thanks for being patient with my lack of updates to EVERYTHING, I've been trying to work on the book! Starting tomorrow, my youngest son starts school, which means I have 6 HOURS A DAY to dedicate to writing! WOOOOO! Now… if SeleneA can keep me on track…?
EDIT: I just need to add right here and now that I have the BEST fucking betas and fans on the planet, in the world, in the whole gods damned universe. SeleneA just paid my fucking internet/TV bill to keep me online so I could make my deadline to finish the book, and while I'm DEFINITELY going to pay her back as soon as I can, I just wanted to express my undying gratitude to her. So yall PM the fuck out of her, SeleneAnadyomene, and thank her for the bonus chapter of History I'm going to bust out before next Friday in between working on the book. Honey, you are fucking AWESOME and I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
"Sh, baby, shhh… it's ok," Bulma soothed as she rocked the squalling baby who kept shouting "MA!" over and over again at the top of her lungs, her little hands fisted in Bulma's blue curls, pulling at them painfully in an effort to make her put her down.
"Let me try," Usagi offered as she rushed into the room, taking Cee Cee, who practically leapt into her arms and started babbling in Saiyan baby talk through great gulps of air and loud sobs. "Ma f'ri a'hir," Usagi cooed as she tucked the little head of dark hair beneath her chin and swayed back and forth, rocking her gently. "Ma m'kor, j'ha nava m'yo. R'es ja'ta t'au, Cee Cee? P'ue?"
"Fee," the baby sobbed, going limp against the princess.
"He's dead," Kakarot supplied as he trembled from his seat on the floor, his back to the wall, sweat pouring down his face from the ongoing burning. "I teleported us out… just before Broly…" He shook his head at that and sighed, knowing he didn't need to explain any further. Anyone that had killed a friend of Broly's was surely dead by now, and if they weren't they were living on borrowed time.
"Kakarot, you need to return to your mate," Vegeta stated flatly as he arrived, taking one look at his rival and feeling a genuine wave of pity for the shaking, sweaty male.
"No, I need to take the king and queen back," he replied. "There's going to be a lot to deal with back on Vegeta-sai. And then Broly… can't leave him and Mina… she's pregnant. Reiko, too. Bulma," he added quickly, "so is Ami. Not far, but… she's pregnant as well."
"Thank Kami that what I gave her to keep her out won't harm the baby," Bulma sighed in relief.
"And thank the gods that I didn't hurt her too badly when I knocked her out," Kakarot added.
"You did what you had to in order to keep her and the girl safe, Kakarot," Vegeta assured him firmly. "How long will that injection work, Bulma?" Vegeta asked in concern as he pondered just how violent Ami's reaction might be upon waking. Surely, she'd lose the baby in her grief for her mate, even if she didn't take it out on everyone else around her.
"Eight hours, maybe less. I can give her one more dose if you need me to, Vegeta," Bulma answered quickly.
"The hell are you planning?" Raditz asked curiously from his place beside his brother, where he was massaging Kakarot's shoulders in an attempt to keep the burning at bay through physical contact.
"Bulma, call Kakarot's brat, Baldie, and the Namek. With a dragon ball radar, they should be able to gather them in twelve hours or less, but we shouldn't be giving a pregnant woman any drugs needlessly."
"But Vegeta," Usagi protested, "if she wakes—"
"The boy and I will take a second radar and search one half of the Earth while the first team searches the other," Vegeta explained. "Hopefully that'll cut the time by half. Maybe more."
"That's sweet of you," his mate stated in abject surprise, wondering absently if he was only doing it to try and get back into her good graces. Vegeta was still sleeping on the proverbial couch, and had taken the room across from her at Capsule Corp when she had continued to lock her door against him whenever she'd gone to bed at night, and he hadn't once begged her to change her mind.
"I'm not doing it for you," he grunted, "I'm doing it for Nappa. I owe him for killing him the first time… even if he deserved it for beating you as a child," Vegeta added by way of explanation as he opened the door and stepped out. "This will make us square. I'll get the boy and start looking. Bulma, leave me a radar on the kitchen counter. Raditz, stay with your brother until Kakarot leaves with my father, then find Turles and Rei and get a third radar from your mate. Kakarot, go home to your mate as soon as you return from Vegeta-sai."
###############################
"Father, do you really think it's necessary to keep her knocked out?" Trunks dared to ask while flying towards a blip on the radar in total silence.
"Besides her carrying another brat, the woman is the most powerful waterwalker alive. And she's about to wake on a planet made up of over seventy percent water," Vegeta deadpanned, trying to keep his temper in check as he answered what he regarded as a very stupid question. "Either we'll find ourselves dealing with a massive tsunami, or the next Ice Age. Take your pick."
"Oh. I didn't think of it that way," Trunks admitted meekly, his cheeks heating up in embarrassment. "Since her initial reaction was violence, it's safe to assume that it will be if she wakes. We'd better hurry, then."
Vegeta wanted to make a "Captain Obvious" comment, but he let it go and simply sped towards their first dragon ball. "I've got it," he grunted as a lake appeared on the horizon and it grew clear that their goal was beneath the water. "Stay put."
Trunks honestly had to admit that he was impressed when Vegeta appeared with a dragon ball in hand in under two minutes, shaking the water from his hair and tail like a dog before flaring his ki to dry himself. "Here, Father," he offered, holding out a bag for their prize before he took the radar and figured out where the next closest ball was. "That way," he said, pointing towards the north. "You know… it'd be a lot quicker if we powered up."
Vegeta had to admit that it was a good idea and he grunted in approval, shoving down a bit of the old pride that threatened to come to the surface in the form of anger just because he hadn't thought of that first. "Alright, but don't whine when you can't keep up with me, boy."
Knowing a challenge when he smelled one, Trunks couldn't suppress a grin despite the circumstances and was quickly bathed in the golden aura of his Legendary form. "I'll bet you five credits I make it there first," he chuckled as he studied the radar and tossed it to his father. "And I'll even give you a handicap. You can have that."
"Boy… you're pushing your luck," Vegeta snorted, his lips twitching up in a mirror of Trunks's. Oh, this boy's definitely mine. The ball, too. Glancing at the radar, his smirk became a full-blown grin as he ascended. "You're on, boy."
He was off like a shot then, and thankfully Trunks had anticipated Vegeta's attempt at a head start and wasn't far behind him, pouring on the speed to catch up, sputtering and shielding his eyes when Vegeta pulled a dirty maneuver and forced him into a flock of birds. "Oh, come on, Father!" He barked indignantly, only to hear a maniacal cackle from far ahead of him.
"ALL'S FAIR, BOY!"
Trunks didn't catch up until his father had stopped, and glared at him in annoyance as he began picking feathers out of his hair, only to stop at something sticky. "Eeeeeew… oh come on! Dad, there's bird shit in my hair!"
The look on his son's face did him in right then and there, and for the first real time since he'd found out about Trunks's true origins, Vegeta consciously acknowledged that this young man was definitely his son. Other than his own father, Vegeta had never known anyone that could manage to make that face of utter disgust while still managing to look livid and dignified at the same time. Dear gods, that face most definitely came from his side of the family. "A little vain about your hair, boy?" He snickered. Nevermind that Vegeta was just as bad about his hair, but he didn't need to reveal that aloud. "Heh… go wash it off in the ocean while I get this dragon ball, but hurry it up."
Still sputtering in disgust upon his return, Trunks was grateful that he'd inherited his mother's subspace pocket and that he'd had some shampoo in it. When his hair was finally cleaned of bird shit he flew at top speed to catch up to his father, who had already snagged the second dragon ball and was well on his way to the third. "Oh, I'm so going to kick your ass, Dad."

Several beeps from the machine attached to the unconscious waterwalker stirred Bulma from her chair, and she grimaced at the readout on the screen when it indicated that Ami's brainwaves were changing their pattern from a deep sleep to semi-awake. "But… but it's only been two hours. Usagi!" She shouted.
The princess was there in a matter of seconds, having used her Saiyan speed, and she gaped at where Bulma was pointing as she carried Cee Cee across the room. "But… but you said eight hours!"
"I was wrong, obviously," the genius sputtered, eyes locked on the glass of water on the bedside table. It was frozen solid. "She's not human. I adjusted my calculations as best as I could, but since I've never drugged an Althean before, I was going on assumptions and theories. Clearly your people are resistant to human drugs."
"Well… dose her again!" Usa ordered. "We can't let her wake up before Nappa's brought back, Bulma! I won't risk letting her lose the baby!"
"And giving her a second dose would be pointless if she's built any resistances to the drugs!" Bulma countered. "Besides, it'll only keep her out for another two hours and the boys won't be done for four."
"She's right," Chi-Chi said from the doorway. "Let her wake up. I called Bardock in, and I think Ami will be fine if you let us handle her. We've both lost mates," she explained, "and she just might listen to us and not panic since we know exactly what she's going through."
####################################
Swinging the door open, Nappa came face to face with Usagi, who was beaming broadly. "Nappa, what's up!"
He remembered that grin all too well, and knew that it meant trouble. She was definitely hiding something from him, but since he was trying his very best to make up for the way he'd wronged her as a child, he smirked and played along. "Where is the real Usagi, and what have you done with her?" That was when he caught a glimpse of some movement behind the princess and realized that she wasn't hiding something, she was hiding someone. Then a face peeked out from behind Usa, and Nappa's heart stopped beating.
Blue hair.
Oh gods, she's the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. Nappa couldn't help but lick his lips as they just stared at each other for what seemed to be ages, and he wondered if that lovely embodiment of female perfection could hear how his heart had suddenly started beating again, racing so hard that it was about to pound out of his chest.
"Surprise," Usagi purred, "and she's a handmaiden of mine, now, so don't even think of going all caveman on her."
That broke Nappa out of his stupor, and he couldn't keep his beast from whining as it answered. "But Highness—!" He was still gazing at his intended mate, every muscle in his body tensed, ready to pounce on her should she try to bolt for the door. He could feel the tugging in his stomach as their eyes locked again, and it set his beast to purring and howling and begging like mad all at once, threatening to drive him insane if he couldn't somehow have her right now.
##########################################
"Here you go, general," a female Saiyan medical officer chuckled as she wrapped the sleeping infant in a blanket. "Your daughter."
Wide-eyed and unsure whether or not to take the tiny bundle, Nappa just stared and shuffled his feet, holding out his hands one second and then drawing them in the next. "Um… maybe Ami should…"
"Nonsense," the woman laughed. "Here, bend down to my height a little. Hold your arms like this. Good."
"But—but I might break her or drop her! Gods, woman, I could sneeze or something and snap her like a twig!" The nurse was having none of his protests, though, and Nappa's heart seized in panic when she placed Cee Cee in his arms and just left her there. "Shit… oh shit… what—what do I do?"
"You can stand back up, for starters," she answered dryly, trying not to laugh at the way he was still bent over, stiffly frozen in place as if even the slightest twitch of his muscles would shatter the baby he was holding for the very first time.
Nappa could feel his mate trying her very best not to giggle at him and knew consciously that he was acting like an idiot, but he simply couldn't help the fear overwhelming him at the thought of accidentally hurting their daughter. "Ok, ok… I'm standing," he finally sighed after a long moment of slowly righting his posture while keeping all of his senses trained on Cee Cee for the slightest hint that he was doing something wrong.
"And look at that, she's still breathing," the nurse chuckled. "I'll leave you to it, then, I have other patients to check on. Congratulations, General Nappa. You too, Lady Ami. Call me if you want something for an energy boost, it's been a couple weeks but you're still looking awfully tired."
"I'll be fine, thank you," Ami assured her. "Carrying a Saiyan baby really took its toll on me. If we ever do this again, I just might let Nappa have his way and agree to having it removed sooner."
The man in question barely acknowledged that he was being discussed, so focused on the little face peeking out of the blanket that everything else around him just seemed to fade into static. "Eh," he whispered. "Cee Cee, m'eh ja'ta t'au. Nee au na'uch." Keep his ki as low as he possibly could, he finally dared to slide the cloth covering her head back, revealing thick, black hair covering an impossibly tiny skull. "How in the hell did I wind up making something so small? Atti, you're barely bigger than my hand."
"She'll get bigger, r'sha," Ami chuckled from where she was resting as she just observed the touching scene of a father holding his daughter for the first time.
"Yeah, but… she's so small," he repeated as he trailed a massive finger over her cheek and to her little button nose. "Is that normal?"
"Nappa, she's huge by Althean standards. She's nearly the size of a year old baby," Ami sighed happily. "I get it though, she's tiny to you," she added when he opened his mouth to protest. "And yes, that's normal. They wouldn't have taken her out of the tank if she wasn't totally healthy."
Nappa nodded, but he was focused on the tail looping around his wrist and instinctively began to purr, his own tail unwinding from his waist to curl around the baby. He heard a higher-pitched purr then and grinned when he realized that it was coming from Cee Cee, and turned his head to beam at his mate. "Ami!" He hissed out joyously. "Do you hear that!? She's purring for me!"
The most-feared general in the Saiyan army was practically vibrating in place as he grinned ecstatically, and when he saw Cee Cee's nose wiggle slightly against his tail and her purr shifted slightly to one of contentment, he couldn't contain his joy. "She smells me!" He announced. "She's got a good nose for a half-breed if she's already imprinting my scent!"
Smiling brightly at his infectious delight, Ami just nodded and waved him over. "Let me see, Nappa. Wow, she really is purring up a storm," she noticed when he gingerly walked as if the floor was covered in eggshells and bent down to let his mate look.
"Brats usually purr for their mothers first," he informed her, his lips still stretched wide. "Almost never their fathers, and they almost always imprint their mothers' scent right away."
"Heh… Daddy's girl, then. It's alright, I'll get the next one," Ami chuckled as she brushed a lock of the drying black spikes out of the infant's face. She'd been about to say something else, but Cee Cee had chosen right then to finally open her eyes, and the immediate beatific look on Nappa's face silenced her.
Father and child just gazed at each other for what seemed to be an eternity, drinking each other in, studying one another—imprinting on a primal level that Ami wouldn't be able to experience as fully as her Saiyan mate—and it was only broken when the baby suddenly yawned, her eyes squinting shut and her purr taking on a funny note when she opened her mouth wide and drew in a deep breath.
With the spell broken, Nappa's beast was taking over a little and he was sniffing her hair, taking in deep huffs of her scent as he punctuated them with nuzzles to her scalp and face. He was getting his unique scent all over her so that any other Saiyans would know immediately who this child belonged to should she get lost or if anyone tried to do her harm. They would know that her father was a powerful alpha male, and when they scented how strong his musk was, they'd know that he valued his daughter as much as he did his mate and would make anyone suffer if they hurt her.
"No one's going to hurt her," Ami assured him gently.
"Altheans," his beast grunted as he unwrapped the blanket a little more and snuffled and huffed all over the baby's chest. The smell of fresh baby had him purring loudly despite his worries, though, and he chuckled into her tummy when his musk made her sneeze on his bald head. He was supposed to be a big, bad warrior, but he found the noise adorable and lifted his head to nuzzle her face again. "Ho'sh m'yo. Na'uch ho'sh m'yo."
######################################
Both of them were laughing during that first night as Ami breathed cold onto him and made him jump a mile from the sensation of frost on his cock, but Nappa couldn't help but thank every god in the Saiyan pantheon for giving him such a wonderful woman. He didn't deserve this, didn't deserve her—he'd done too much bad in his life, so surely he was damned to loneliness during this second chance… right?
The gods worked in crazy, mysterious ways, though, and apparently he'd done something to please them, because here he was, playing games with his mate, with love blooming in his chest for the very first time since he'd been born. Sure, he loved his prince, he loved the king, but this… this was love. Real and honest-to-goodness, make you weep from the enormity of it love.
And he didn't deserve it, but he sure as hell wasn't going to let it go now that he had it.
She was his.
And he was hers.
######################################
"I was wrong," he breathed in awe.
Still weary, Ami was resting on Nappa's orders, slightly pale, her eyes shining with pride as she watched him handle the baby with an ease that increased with every day that passed. "About what?"
Focusing on his mate for a moment, Nappa just smiled before turning his eyes back to the tiny bundle in his arms and the little hand gripping his finger. "When I first saw you, I thought that there would never be a chance of losing my heart again, that it belonged only to you," he replied slowly, nuzzling his face into the soft black hair, purring softly at the combined scent of himself and his mate. "I was wrong," he sighed.
#########################################
He simply couldn't help himself and slid his hand along the swollen tummy of his mate for the umpteenth time that night, unable to sleep after feeling their daughter doing the infant version of martial arts in Ami's womb. The thought of feeling the life moving inside of her again had him waking every time he so much as dozed off, but he was careful not to wake his mate; gods only knew how little sleep she'd been getting lately as her body tried to get ready for nursing every two hours, and Nappa was always careful not to spoil her slumber.
Gods, she's always so beautiful, he sighed to himself. I swear she's Cha herself, come down from the moon to distract me from fighting and war for the rest of my life. The warrior's path was every Saiyan's way and it was considered cowardice to avoid fighting or going to war, but Nappa had lately found himself entertaining the idea of moving his new family to Earth.
Sure, there was about to be a fight there and he would participate in it to defend his new home—despite having tried to destroy it once before, gods what a switch!—but according to their prince it was generally peaceful. That would be nice… to live out the rest of my days with my mate and my brats, without any more wars. Gods damn it, maybe I'm getting soft.
The baby suddenly decided to make itself known then, and Nappa felt his heart skip a beat when her little body rolled against his hand and her foot briefly pressed into his palm. "Heh… there you are, ho'sh m'yo… I knew I'd finally wait you out." His purr filled the room then, and as he pressed tightly to Ami from behind, he felt her huge stomach vibrate for several seconds. "Heh, you know your daddy's purr already, don't you, brat? Don't do it again, you'll wake your mother," he added in a whisper as he bent to kiss the spot where his daughter had kicked his hand. "Go to sleep, baby. Daddy…" Nappa couldn't help but stop himself then and look around out of habit for the stigma that came with declaring one's feelings in his society, but once he'd satisfied his paranoia he bent back down and kissed Ami's belly again. "Daddy loves you, Cee Cee."
#####################################
"I love you, Ami m'yo."
######################################
"Ami… m'eh tah'kha'or au."
########################################
"Love you, r'sha."
Half asleep, Ami rolled over and nuzzle her face into his chest, making him purr in contentment. "I love you too, Nappa."
Gods, this was all he needed in life; this was what he was meant for. To love her.
#######################################
Chi-Chi was ready for it when Ami started crying in that fuzzy place between sleep and reality, and she was at the side of the bed in a flash, signaling Usagi to call in Bardock as she cradled the weeping Althean to her chest and rocked her gently. "I know," she whispered sadly. "Trust me, sweetie, I know."
It hurt beyond description, and Ami clutched her chest as she fought for air between sobs, her brain trying somehow to rationalize the physical pain she felt as something sustained during all of the activity on the rooftop.
Try as she might, though, her scientific reasoning couldn't think of anything and Ami consciously knew the pain for what it really was; she'd had a piece of her soul ripped out. "N—Nappa," she choked out, going limp when a second set of arms surrounded her and she heard the lower, throatier purring of a male Saiyan. "Please… please tell me I dreamed it all… like… like the rest of it."
"You saw his last thoughts," Bardock replied as he exchanged a soulful look with his mate. When he'd crossed the room to help his daughter-in-law, his hold on the little blue-haired woman had been awkward at first, but now he was imagining his mate in her place one day and he did his best to soothe Ami. A male comforting a female that wasn't family was rare, so it was hard for him not to keep looking at Mako for permission as he ran his fingers through hair that wasn't long and chestnut-colored and he cradled a head in his lap that wasn't lightly tanned.
It all felt so weird and foreign to him, but he did his best, bolstered by his mate's nod and her silent urging through the bond to do what he could for her friend. "Ami, tell me what you saw. With Romayna, I saw thoughts of the boys and a few of myself. Mostly the boys, though," he admitted with a tiny smile. "I didn't blame her, they're better looking than I am."
"I saw a lot more of myself when Goku died than I ever expected," Chi-Chi chimed in. "Tell us what you saw, Ami."
They were trying to distract her from the overwhelming desire to find a sharp object to end her pain and she knew it. Nappa had told her before, not long after they'd mated, that since they'd felt the pull for each other, they would likely die within days of each other. "Gods, he was right," she sobbed. "I just want to die. Let me die," she begged desperately, her voice small and weak. "Please… please…"
"Nappa's going to be here in a few hours," Chi-Chi informed her, her voice taking on a firmer tone, "and he'd be pretty pissed at the lot of us if he arrived only to find you dead, young lady."
"Besides that, Ami… we wouldn't let you even if he wasn't coming back. You're pregnant again," Bardock added gently. He felt her still at that and watched her hand slide to her belly, where it gripped the nightgown Bulma had put her in, but she only sobbed even harder, the sobs wracking her body violently.
"Let me try," Usagi said suddenly, joining them in holding Ami when Chi-Chi and Bardock immediately made room for her. "I don't know if this will work, but…" The light of her ki filled the room then, and almost instantly Ami's cries of mourning softened to quiet crying and her body sagged, her muscles relaxing. "Thank the gods," she breathed.
"E—every time he told me h—he loved m—me," Ami stammered out of nowhere.
Bardock was the first to understand, and his purr took on a somber note as he nodded respectfully. "That's good, Ami. That's good. His very last thoughts are of what was most important to him. He clearly wanted you to know how much you meant to him."
"Cee Cee… when he first held her. The very first time he saw me up close. Holding me at night. Feeling the baby kick."
Her voice was getting a little stronger, and everyone in the room gave Usagi a grateful look, knowing that her light was responsible for this change in Ami. "I'm taking some of her pain," she whispered, answering their unspoken question. "And it hurts." I'm alright, she sighed lovingly through the bond when she felt Vegeta freeze in midair the very moment he sensed her pain.
I'm coming, r'sha, he replied immediately. Tell me what you need.
It's ok, Geta. Ami woke early and I'm taking some of her pain to keep her from doing something bad. Just find the dragon balls. She softened towards him considerably when he just floated there for a minute, hesitating to continue his mission even though he was currently in a heated competition with his son.
Usa… you're more important than beating the brat. He can find the last one on our list and move on to help the others. I can come to you if you need me.
Usa could tell that it took a lot for him to admit that she was the most important thing to him and she smiled through the bond despite the pain she was feeling in her very soul. It's alright, Vegeta. Go and find the rest of the balls, and then we can wish Nappa back. I'll even let you hold me afterwards if you want.
Promise!?
He'd definitely perked up at that and Usagi couldn't help but chuckle and nod even though no one around her had a clue what was so funny. Yes, my prince, I'll let you hold me. Ami cried a little harder then, and Usagi realized that her light only worked if she didn't break her concentration. The renewed feeling of her pain made her sigh through the bond, and she thought of what it would be like to have their roles reversed, for Ami to be the one holding her and for Usagi to be the one suffering such a loss.
You'll never lose me, Vegeta grunted through the bond, so stop thinking about such stupid fucking things. You're stuck with me for life whether you like it or not. Unless you kill me, he added dryly.
Knowing that that was his awkward way of saying that he cared, Usagi just nodded. I'm still mad at you, Geta. But… I love you.
The hesitation was there again, but after a few moments Usagi felt a wave of raw emotion flood her through the bond and knew instantly that his thoughts had taken the same turn as hers; he'd been worrying about losing her too, and while he had trouble voicing it, he had loved her every day of their lives and he wanted her to know it. Don't worry, Geta. I'm not going anywhere, either.
#####################################
He'd considerately left the bond open, somehow knowing that if it wasn't thrown wide that the pain she was feeling would be worse on her. If she could feel him through the bond, she would know that he wasn't gone, that she hadn't lost him, that she was only feeling Ami's pain and not her own.
Vegeta was also hauling ass like never before, speeding past Trunks and screeching to a halt to explain quickly that the boy's mother would be in pain until the damned balls were found and that he needed to get his futuristic rear in gear. "I'm going to help the beta male and the Namek find the rest; Kakarot's boy split off to find another by himself. You go help him as soon as you find the last one that we're after."
"Yes, Father."
"…I didn't mind 'Dad'," he grunted before speeding off again, his ki flashing brightly as he powered up to his maximum.
#####################################
"He—he'll really be back in a few minutes?" Ami whimpered into Usagi's lap.
"Yup, Geta's on his way with Piccolo and Krillin right now, and Gohan and Trunks just finished getting the last one—it was in a really tight space, so it took the longest to acquire. But they've got all seven and they're on their way. Then they'll make their wish and Nappa will be alive again."
"We'll watch Cee Cee," Chi-Chi offered. "The bond will still be severed and you'll need to reforge it; despite having a child around, you'll be completely absorbed in each other, even more so than the first time."
"She's right, a second mating is even stronger than the first," Bardock admitted, his cheeks coloring slightly when Makoto winked at him from her seat where she was stroking Ami's hair lovingly. "If you thought it was intense before with the pull and everything, you'll be amazed by how strong the urges and the bond will be the second time around. They're almost impossible to resist."
"Yet you resisted them for days, Doc," Mako chuckled.
"I'm a paragon of control," Bardock snorted. "I was thinking about dragging you to my bed the entire time, woman. And don't look all smug, either, you were fighting the urge to come to me and I know it. Even while hating me a little bit, you were still hypnotized by my devilish good looks."
"Not really. Your boys really are cuter than you," she teased.
"They're almost here," Usagi sighed, breaking them from their conversation. It wasn't lost on them how much pain she was in as she shared Ami's loss; but since there was nothing they could do about it, they had been making every effort to take both women's mind off the agony despite the fact that it wasn't really working.
"Come on, then. You'll want to see this, Ami, it's really amazing to watch them summon the dragon," Chi-Chi said brightly.
"I don't care," she whispered. "I just want Nappa." Thanks to Usagi's light, she was docile even though she'd continued crying softly the entire time, repeatedly trying to reach through the bond out of habit for some comfort, only to find Nappa dead and gone.
"Nappa will be there too, sugar," Mako assured her, kissing her forehead. "Come on, we'll take you to him, you just have to be patient and wait a few more minutes. I can sense the boys on their way." She turned to Chi-Chi then and nodded towards the door. "I can also sense Kakarot, and he's not doing too hot, honey. You might want to go take care of your mate."
"Yeah, I can feel it, I've been fighting like hell to stay here even though he's been insisting on it." She felt Usagi's light fill her suddenly, and when she noticed the delicate hand leaving her arm, she smiled her thanks. "I need that, thank you, Usagi."
"I figured it was getting a little sore. Now go on, we've got Ami from here." Usagi scooped the waterwalker into her arms then, waving off offers to help her since she'd have to maintain contact with her to keep her tranquil.
Ami just curled into her, still crying, trying her best to believe that Nappa would be there any moment even though there was a gaping hole in her very spirit. But she managed to reach out for Cee Cee when someone handed her over and she clutched the baby to her protectively, her heart aching at the sound of her purr and the lingering scent of her father on her. "Fee shee, Ma," Cee Cee whispered. "Ja'ja radee."
"I hope so, baby," Ami whimpered miserably.
They arrived out in the yard of Capsule Corp just as Trunks and Vegeta touched down at the same time and each set down two balls, and the rest of the warriors were just behind them, placing the other three in the circle. A quick look at a crying Ami got Piccolo moving first, and he raised his arms to the sky and hurriedly summoned the dragon.
MAKE YOUR WISH, Shenron instructed as he surveyed the group.
"I wish for the Saiyan known as Nappa to be brought back to life," Piccolo stated respectfully.
IT IS DONE. HE HAS BEEN REVIVED WHERE HIS BODY WAS TAKEN.
"Shit!" More than one person exclaimed, only for Goku to step out from the sidelines unexpectedly.
"What are you doing, Goku!? You should be at home resting!" Chi-Chi exclaimed as the dragon vanished and the balls shot out every which way, the sky lightening substantially.
"I had a feeling this would happen," he rasped, "so I teleported here when I sensed everyone was returning. I'll just go get Nappa and Broly and Mina and bring them back really fast; Broly wanted to stay with Nappa's body out of respect, and Mina refused to leave Broly's side even though he snapped and snarled about it a lot."
"Fine," his mate sighed in understanding. "And when you get back I'll take care of you."
Goku was gone in a flash, and when he appeared on Vegeta-sai right next to Broly, he found the other Super Saiyan restraining a screaming, struggling Nappa who was trying his very best to reach the scalpels on a nearby tray. "Holy!"
"AMI!" Nappa roared and he futilely thrashed against the much stronger warrior, his efforts in vain even when his mustache melted to gold and his ki flared brightly. "SHE'S GONE, BROLY! IF YOU'RE MY FRIEND YOU'LL LET ME GO!"
"She's alive!" Kakarot shouted, waving over Mina and snagging her around the waist with his tail as he grabbed Broly with one hand and Nappa with the other and teleported back to the yard at Capsule Corp. "See!?" He yelled down at the massive, bawling man lying on the grass.
"She's gone," Nappa sobbed, "don't bother to convince me otherwise, Kakarot. She died on the roof, otherwise I'd feel her!"
"N—Nappa…" Shaking uncontrollably, Ami staggering towards him when Usagi set her on her feet on the opposite side of the large yard, and before she knew it, her legs had taken over and were pumping hard to carry her and Cee Cee to him.
"Blue?" Nappa whispered in disbelief, sitting up and just staring at her in shock and awe. "Oh gods, Ami!" He shouted, jumping to his feet just in time for her to leap into his arms, and cling to him for dear life. Cee Cee barely made it out before she became the center of a Nappami sandwich and scrambled up onto her daddy's shoulder, joining her mother in raining kisses all over his face and hugging him as tightly as possibly, her little tail curling around his arm.
Those excited little kisses quickly morphed into something deeper and primal, though, and Cee Cee visibly gagged and floated to Usagi when her parents' lips met and they both fell to the ground, moaning loudly and kissing the living hell out of each other with a desperate need that neither of them could describe.
"Gah!" Usagi sputtered, covering Cee Cee's eyes just as Rei landed next to her, gaped, and covered Usagi's in turn. "Thank you," she snorted, "I was about to go blind."
"If you thought that was bad, Ami's on top now and Nappa's… well… enormous." She blinked when a hand suddenly covered her eyes, and grinning broadly, she elbowed her mate. "Hey, I wanna watch, damn it! I'd like to finally see how someone Ami's size manages to take all of that dick!"
"Perv," Turles snickered as he uncovered her eyes and nipped at her lower lip. The hormones in the air were turning him on, and he jerked his head towards Capsule Corp. "Come on back to the room and you can take one that's almost that big," he purred.
"Once I'm done shielding the princess's delicate sensibilities from pornography," Rei agreed with a wink.
"Hey, could you two take it to a private room!" Chi-Chi finally shouted, covering a blushing Gohan's eyes—the kid had definitely gotten his first lesson in sex education and his face was the color of a sunset. "Bulma, you have a spare room, right?"
"Yeah, that one," she said, pointing to a balcony. "Door's unlocked, go nuts. Pun intended." Turning to Raditz, she shook her head in total disbelief. "And for the record, I will never, ever, ever complain about how big you are ever again. I swear it on my non-existent tail."
Coming up next… pun intended. Smut. So much smut. I think we need some at this point, don't we? Yeah, I think we do, I've put us all (including myself) through a enough fucking angst with the last two chapters.
