Weakness

kukai x utau

He held her hand close to him as they sat on the couch in her apartment. Ramen cups were everywhere, fluff from pillows covered the floor, and movies were scattered across the coffee table. She was dressed in one of his jerseys for comfort. Kukai was currently feeding Utau a few noodles since she was sick, which cut the rest of her summer tour off by a few weeks.

As he fed her, a tinted blush was painted upon her cheeks. Of all things, why was she letting a kid feed her? Looking back up at him, she watched him grin at her. Rolling her eyes, she coughed and adjusted her position on the couch until her head was resting on his lap. His fingers cooly rubbed the sides of her cheek as they stared at one another.

"You know this side of you is rather attractive." Kukai snickered.

"And I can see last night's dinner on your teeth." Utau smirked.

He quickly rubbed his teeth and looked away, trying to act all cool for her. All she did was laugh up at him as he blushed softly from the cuteness of her laugh. Kukai stared back down at her violet eyes and she smiled. They loved to tease each other and that's one of the reasons why Utau loved Kukai.

She was able to be herself around him.

"I'm sorry I'm sick though. If I wasn't, I would have celebrated with you better." Utau apologized.

Kukai hushed her lips and narrowed his eyes in pleasure. Nothing more had to be said when he leaned his head forward and tilted his forehead against hers. Utau wasn't going to outbeat him and so she tilted her head to the right and rubbed her nose against his, bringing them much closer than they were before.

"I can't believe you dropped the biggest game of your life to be with me." Utau murmured, scanning her eyes up to stare into his.

He gently took her hands and wrapped them behind his neck. Pushing forward, Kukai kissed the tip of her nose and smiled gradually.

"Who else is gonna be there for Hoshina Utau when she's weak and sick?" Kukai teased.

"I can handle myself well, kid." Utau retorted back.

Their lips were inches away, hot breath mixing together. Utau unclasped her hands and rubbed her fingers through Kukai's autumn hair as Kukai rubbed gentle, slow circles on her back. Her eyes tinted with a speck of tease and his were full of amusement. Their bodies were pressing closer but the love they felt was so much tighter.

"You called me a kid." Kukai whispered.

"And so I did." Utau grinned.

He leaned in and softly captured her lips into an alluring kiss. She caught her breath in time and leaned up in his lap to add more pressure to the kiss. The whole feeling was so overwhelming especially the way he deeply caressed her in his embrace. Utau felt protected at that moment and she couldn't help but hug him tighter. This was the first time in her life that she felt wanted by someone so much. In his arms, she felt her weakness.

"Any game could happen but only one of you comes once in my life." Kukai mumbled against her lips as they released from the kiss.

"You're stupidly cheesy though." Utau said, slapping him on the chest.

But it was true.

He was there for her at her weakest when she was sick. Kukai could have gone off to play a soccer game instead, yet he chose her. He knew that she had been upset that she had to cancel her tour for a while. However, she never imagined that he would drop some things just to be with her. There was nothing more to it though because it explained itself fully.

"Happy Birthday, though." Utau smiled up at him.

He was her weakness.
