Finally! I finally got this chapter up! So for my readers from the past (if you even realized that I did this) are reading, I'm so sorry this took two years to update!

Recap:

I entered Katara's bedroom and saw her sleeping peacefully in dry clothes. I walked over to the chair next to the bed and sat on it as I stared at the girl before me.

What if she wakes up…never to be Korra again?!

"This is all my fault," I mumbled. I gently took her hand and eventually drifted to sleep.

(Korra's POV)

I knew what was happening around me, but I couldn't open my eyes, move, or speak. Days would pass. I've had plenty of visitors that would come, hold my hand, and then leave. My parents came by and stayed by my side for a long time until they eventually started coming less and less. Same goes with everyone, except for one person.

Mako.

He'd stay with me all through the nights as well, just sitting on the chair next to me and talking to me.

Saying he was sorry. Saying what happened was all his fault.

Why? I still couldn't figure it out. Why was he like this?

There was one night when he came by and started crying his heart out.

"They say you may never wake up," I heard him say through his sobs. "They say if by some miracle you do, you won't be the same ever again."

"Mako," I wanted to say. "I'm right here. I'm awake!"

My heart skipped a beat when I felt his strong arms embracing me. "I love you, Korra," he whispered into my hair.

All memories came flooding back to me. Every single one.

I wanted to cry and embrace him back, but I couldn't. He eventually left me alone for the night, and I had a sick feeling that he was never going to return again.

"Korra," I heard my mom say to me the next morning. "We're taking you back to the water tribe."

No! No! I can't leave now! Not when I finally got all my memories back!

I was placed on a flying bison. "Yip-Yip!" I heard Tenzin say. My mother gently petted my hair as a few drops of her tears fell on my face.

Mako…

I blacked out after that. When I "woke up," I was in a very familiar bed. My water tribe bed. I heard that they brought Naga along, thank God.

"What are we going to do if she…" said my father who trailed off. I heard my mother let out a sob. "I'm sorry," he continued, "I shouldn't have said that…"

"It's alright," said my mom. "We have to talk about it at one point."

"Why isn't Aang doing anything?"

"I…I don't know…but we have to be patient."

They left the room. I felt very alone without Mako by my side. I kicked myself mentally.

You idiot! I thought. This would have never happened if you would have dodged that stupid earth bender's attack!

I blacked out again.

(Third Person)

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Then finally, on a spring morning, Korra was able to move her pinky, and then the rest of her fingers. Her eyelids slowly opened, but closed them tightly when the light of the sun that she hasn't seen in a long time hit her eyes.

"Dammit all…" she muttered, "How long have I been like this?"

She slowly sat upright and breathed in deeply. She was aching all over. She slowly opened her eyes again when the pain subsided.

"Korra," said a male voice beside her.

She looked to her right. It was Aang.

"Aang…" she whispered. "Why didn't you help me sooner?"

"This was something you had to do on your own."

"What if I died or something?"

"I knew you wouldn't."

They started at each other for a few moments. Finally, Korra sighed and said, "I have a feeling there is a deep meaning behind all this that I will never fully understand, am I right?"

"Not quite. In time, you will understand."

"I saw that coming."

Aang smiled and approached her. "There is someone in Republic City still waiting for you."

"Mako?"

Korra's head snapped forward when her mom came in the room. They stared at each other for a while until her mother's eyes started watering. Korra looked back at Aang, but he was gone.

"Korra!" cried her mother as she rushed towards her. She hugged Korra tightly and said through sobs, "I thought you were never going to wake up!"

That's when her father came into the room and saw the scene before him.

"Korra…" he whispered before dropping the bag he was holding and rushed over to the two. Korra hugged her parents back and smiled.

It's good to be back…

When they finally pulled away, her father helped Korra on her feet again.

"Katara has been coming over a lot to take care of you," he said as they approached the door. "She's right outside. She will be so happy to see you up."

When they got outside, Korra shielded her eyes from the sun as they adjusted. When she set her hand down, there stood Katara.

"Oh, Korra!" she cried as she quickly walked over to her. Korra couldn't help but notice she looked a lot older.

They hugged tightly.

"Everyone has been so worried," said the elder as she pulled away and moved a stray hair out of Korra's face.

"I know."

She looked out towards the snowy plain. "How are Mako and all the others doing?"

Korra stepped back so that she could make Katara some space.

"Penma has had her fourth child, Rohan."

"No way. I can't believe I missed that…"

Katara continued. "Asami left her home and is traveling the world, and Mako and Bolin each got their own separate homes in Republic City. They finally decided it was time to live individually."

"I see…what about the Pro Bending Arena?"

"It was closed down due to the lack of audience."

Korra looked down. "And what about Tahno?"

Katara was silent for a moment. "Lin had him put in jail with all the wrong he has done. Surprisingly, Tahno did not object and willingly went."

"Korra," said Korra's mom as she set her hand on her shoulder. "You need to eat. Come, I made plenty of food." She looked over at the elder and said, "You are very welcome to eat with us, Katara. It's the least we can do."

"Thank you," she replied as she followed them back into the house.

Korra ate greedily. Her bad eating habits were back, and she let out a huge belch when she finished.

Everyone smiled. She was back to the Korra that they used to know.

"Man, I'm stuffed!" Korra exclaimed as she leaned back and patted her stomach. "That was good, mom. Thank you."

"You're welcome."

The avatar looked up at the ceiling as the others continued on with their meal. She started thinking about Mako and if he still remembered her. Maybe he's with someone now… she thought.

"Korra?" questioned her dad. "What are you doing?"

She sat straight and closed her eyes. "I want to go back to Republic City," she said suddenly. She opened her eyes to see their reactions, but there was none.

Finally, her mom sighed and said, "We had a feeling you would say something like that."

They were all silent again. The only sound was from the kids playing outside.

"You're a big girl now," said her dad as he set his chopsticks down. "I believe that you would make a fine woman over there than here. I'm not trying to kick you out or anything, I mean, I would love to have you stay, but this is your decision."

She looked over at her mom who nodded.

Korra smiled widely. "Thank you!" she cried.

"But," said Katara, making Korra frown again, "You are not exactly well enough to travel yet. You just woke up from a comma not so long ago, and a normal person would still be in bed. Thankfully, you are strong enough to get up and do all this stuff again. It's surprising, really."

Korra sighed. "Well, what do I do for the time being?"

"Just relax outside. Naga hasn't seen you yet."

When Katara smiled, Korra noticed something hidden in it. She could tell she was holding back from saying something.

"What…what's wrong with Naga?"

No one replied to her, so Korra got up and left the house.

She was on her way to building that Naga was kept at when a girl about twelve ran up to her. "Korra!" she exclaimed as she hugged her waist.

Korra blinked a few time as she tried to remember who she was. "Kalli?" she questioned as she looked at the girl's smiling face.

"You remember me!"

Korra smiled and rubbed her head when they parted. "Of course! Your face is too cute to forget! Wow, you've gotten big!"

"Yup! So, where were you headed? Is it even alright for you to be up already? I thought you just woke up not so long ago…"

"You've heard already?"

"Everyone knows now!"

"Oh… well, I'm going to go see Naga."

Kalli gasped. "You haven't seen Naga yet?"

"What's wrong with her?"

The smile on the girl's face widened as she took Korra's hand and started running.

"What's wrong with Naga?" she repeated. Still no answer.

Why isn't anyone telling me what's wrong with Naga?!

They stopped in front of a big wooden door. Korra set her hand on it, but didn't push it open. She was worried that she wouldn't like what she would see when she opened it.

"Come on! What are you waiting for? Open it!"

"I'm scared that I may not like what I will see in there…"

"I highly doubt that…"

When Korra still didn't open it, Kali sighed and pushed it open for her.

A polar bear-dog that she has never seen before greeted them.

"Who is this?" the avatar questioned as the animal rested his paws on her shoulders and licked her face.

"This is Treck!" the girl exclaimed.

The polar bear-dog that was on Korra left and started playing in the snow. Ahead of her was Naga who was laying on the ground with her back facing her.

"Naga…" she breathed as she took a few slow steps forward. She notice her body rise and fall quicker than it normally should have.

"Well? Go on," pushed Kalli as she waited next to the door.

Naga craned her head to look at Korra. She let out a soft whine, but then set her head back down a moment later.

"Naga!" she cried as she rushed over to her side, but then stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed three tiny white tails wagging.

She walked around Naga and saw three pups sucking their mother's milk. Korra covered her mouth with her hands as she stared at the adorable creatures in front of her.

Kalli appeared beside her and said, "Go on, pet them."

Korra didn't wait another second. She kneeled beside them and started petting Naga as she waited for the pups to finish. Finally, one did.

It walked lamely towards her and started letting out little yelps. The eyes weren't open yet. It fell by Korra's lap.

She picked up the little ball of white fur and checked its gender for a brief moment.

"They are all females except for the one the big one right there," said Kalli as she pointed at the pup who was still drinking his mom's milk. The other one started walking towards Naga's face.

"Are they all named yet?" Korra asked.

"All but the one you're holding now. The other female was named Nali and the boy was named Haku."

"Why wasn't this one named yet?"

"Your parents wanted you to name her. We've been calling her pup until now."

Korra looked at the pup she was holding. "How about…Nagi? Yeah, I'll name you Nagi."

"Nagi it is!"

Korra spent an hour playing with the tired pups until she finally decided to leave them alone. Kalli accompanied her back to the house, talking about random stuff that the avatar couldn't follow.

After spending a month at the water tribe, Korra decided that she was well enough to leave on her own.

"Tenzin is coming soon," said Katara as she stood outside with Korra. They stared at the big full moon together. "He comes every so often to check up on you and to take me back to Republic City. I can't wait to see the look on you face when he sees you."

"And I can't wait to see Tenzin. Do you think he's going to bring Pema and the kids with him?"

"I don't think so."

The next day, Korra packed her stuff up in a bag. She wasn't entirely sure when the air monk was arriving, but she wanted to be prepared since she wanted to go back to Republic City as soon as possible.

"Korra!" said her mother as she entered her room. "Tenzin is here!"

Korra smiled and hugged her before she left the house.

"Tenzin!" she called as she looked at said monk who swiftly got off the back of his flying bison.

He looked at her with a shocked expression. "Korra?"

She ran and hugged him tightly.

"I was so worried!" he said as they parted.

"Tenzin, I know this may sound sudden to you, but…please take me back to the city?"

They stared at each other for a few moments, and then Tenzin looked over at her parents who gave him a nod. He sighed and looked back at the teenager in front of him.

"Okay."

"Yes!"

Korra gave her parents one more final hug before jumping on the back of the flying bison. Tenzin helped his mother up before saying goodbye to the water tribe.

"Yip-yip!" he yelled.

The bison lifted itself off the ground. Korra waved until the water tribe was just a tiny spec.

"Korra!" cried a familiar voice.

Korra's eyes snapped open. Above her was Ikki.

"I was so worried! You have no idea how worried we were! We thought that you would like never wake up and then we would never see you again and then we would all be missing you. So, are you feeling better?"

She stared at her for a few moments. She forgot how Ikki talked at a fast speed.

"Come again?"

Ikki sighed and then jumped down, followed by Korra.

"Pema!" she said when she saw the now slender woman walking towards her. She was carrying Rohan in her arms.

Korra gave her a small hug before gazing at the cute baby boy. "Rohan…" she whispered with a smile.

The two women chatted for a little while.

"Korra," said Tenzin.

She turned around and saw the air monk helping his mother off the bison. When he successfully got her down he said, "You're old room is still unoccupied."

Korra bowed and said, "Thank you, Tenzin. But… I wanted to go out for a bit if you don't mind…"

"I know. Pema, can you give her the address please?"

"Of course."

Korra turned back around to face Pema who gave her an address.

"What's that place?" she asked with a brow raised.

"Korra, you know perfectly well whose place that is. Now go, get your prince charming back."

Korra looked down and bit her lip. Pema held Rohan with one hand and placed her other on the avatar's shoulder.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"What if Mako already has someone…"

"You're just going to have to go and find out."

They stared at each other for a few moments before Korra ran off.

"Thank you!" she called.

"Hey, is that…the avatar?" she heard people on the streets say. She ignored everyone.

"It is! It's the avatar! She's back!"

She finally arrived at the front of a one story house. It wasn't extravagant, but it looked cozy.

She placed her hands on her knees as she panted; not only was she tired from running, but she was scared. What if he opened the door and a beautiful woman stood behind him? What if he didn't remember her?

She managed to slowly make her way to the door. She held her shaky fist out and stayed frozen on the spot.

She closed her eyes tightly and knocked three times.

No one came, so she knocked again, harder this time.

"I heard you the first time!" came a male voice from the inside. Korra's heart skipped a beat.

She started taking steps back as she heard the footsteps from the inside get closer and closer.

Finally, the door swung open.

The two stared at each other for a few moments. Mako's eyes widened as he looked Korra up and down.

"Korra?" he whispered as he slowly walked towards her.

"I'm back," she replied with a faint smile. He looked as handsome as ever.

They hugged tightly.

"Oh God, Korra…" said Mako. "I thought I would never see you again."

"Well…here I am…"

They stayed in each other's arms for the longest time. The atmosphere suddenly grew hot as the sun rose higher in the sky.

"Come inside," said Mako as he took Korra's hand and led her into his home. It was dark and cool.

Korra sat on his soft couch and looked at Mako as he sat next to her. "Mako," she started as she took his hand. "I remembered everything."

"Really? That's good! Do you feel any different, though?"

"No. I'm the Korra that I was before I lost my memories."

She moved closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. "When I was in a comma, I could hear everything that everyone was saying. I heard you that night before they took me back to the water tribe."

"Y-you did?"

"M-hmm…"

"I'm sorry…"

"What's there to be sorry for?"

"I know you must be mad for all the stuff I did."

"Well, yeah. But that doesn't escape the fact that I love you."

They were silent for a while until Mako spoke. "Say that again, please…"

She turned her head so that she was looking up into his eyes. "I love you."

His eyes started to water. "I love you too," he said before placing his hands on her cheeks. He slowly pressed his lips against hers.

Mako moved their position so that he was on top of her. He gently bit her lip so that she would make an entrance for him to slide his warm tongue into. Korra blushed, but then she moved her hands so that her fingers tangled into Mako's hair.

They pulled away a while later, out of breath. "I want you, Korra."

"Mako…I'm not ready yet…"

He rested his forehead on hers as he stared into her mesmerizing blue eyes. "Alright," he said finally. "I'll wait until you're ready."

Mako accompanied her back to Air Temple Island. On the way, Korra told him of all the stuff that happened at the water tribe, like how Naga had pups.

Mako held her hand and said, "One of these days, I'd like to start a family with you, too."

Korra blushed and smiled. "I'd like that."

Bolin arrived at his brother's house with his wife, Asami. They surprised everyone with that announcement. Nobody expected it.

Their arms were linked as Bolin knocked on the door. It opened right away to reveal a five year old girl with light skin, black hair, and bright blue eyes.

"Unky Bowin! Auntie Sami!" she exclaimed as she hugged each of them. "Come in! Everyone was waiting for you!"

When she closed the door behind them, her twin brother came around the corner. They were born at the same time, but looked different.

"Makayl, what's taking you so long?" he whined. He stared at the two adults next to her and said, "Oh. Hi Aunt Asami, Uncle Bolin."

"Hello, Kale! It's been a while!" said Asami as she flashed her beautiful smile at him.

"Auntie Sami," said Makayle as she placed her hand on her aunt's stomach. "Your belly is getting big!"

Bolin knelt down and picked the small child up. "You're going to have a cousin soon, Macky!" he exclaimed with a huge grin.

He set the girl down and she ran next to her brother.

"It's strange how you two are twins," said Asami.

Unlike his sister, Kale had dark skin, dark brown hair, and golden eyes. Kale could fire bend while Makayl could water bend.

"What's taking those two so long?" they heard a familiar voice say. Tenzin came into view.

"Hey there, Tenzin!" started Bolin with a wave. "We just got there!"

"Come, we've been waiting."

They all followed him into the living room with many people in it.

Pema sat next to her four kids on the couch. Jinora has grown into a teenager and was sitting there quietly reading a novel. Ikki was bouncing up and down, saying random things. She has grown up a lot, but she still acted like a little kid. Meelo surprisingly grew out of his bad manners and habits and was now very polite. He sat up straight and greeted the two new comers with a smile. Tenzin and Pema were worried that Rohan would grow up to be just like his uncle, Bumi, who spent a good amount of time with his youngest nephew. Rohan let out a howl and then clapped his hands together.

"Rohan!" said Pema with a strict voice as she tried to calm her son down. Tenzin rolled his eyes.

Asami and Bolin sat down on another couch.

Mako came into view and gave his brother and sister-in-law a hug. "It's been a while," he said as he stepped back.

"Yeah, it has," said Asami with a smile. She looked around then asked, "Where's Korra?"

"Here," she said as she stepped out of the kitchen with a plate full of water tribe snacks. She set it on the small table.

Bolin and Asami noticed how her stomach was big again.

Mako moved over towards his wife and placed his hand on her stomach. "It's going to be a boy," he said with a smile.

"Yum!" exclaimed Makayl as she took some food off the plate.

"Did you wash your hands?" asked Meelo.

Makayl glared at him for a few moments before turning her head stubbornly and popping the snack into her mouth. Meelo sighed and shook his head.

The adults chuckled a bit.

Korra looked around the room. She was sad that Katara, who passed away a year before, couldn't join them. She was also sad that her parents couldn't make it. Unfortunately, the weather there was so bad that ships or flying bisons couldn't travel there at that moment.

Korra sighed a little.

"Hey, what's wrong?" questioned Mako in a hushed voice as he tilted his wife's head so she was looking up at him.

"I'm just a bit sad that there are a few others who can't join us."

"Yeah…I am too, but let's enjoy now."

Korra smiled and looked around the room. Everyone was having so much fun and the house seemed so lively.

"Yeah. Let's enjoy now."

The End.

aww sweet endings :)
