Games of Fate 8

(Darn I lost the original copy of this doc… I don't know whether I can get it back or not. Regarding that I would like to create a new one, which mirrors the older one while Im at it…)

The woman could only whisper his name bitterly; a little stutter escaped her lips as she continued to whisper his name that felt like poison on her tongue. Life-threatening, dangerous, bitter a man who resembles poison in many ways. There he was eyeing straight at her with much malice reeling within his coal black orbs.

"U… Uchiha-san…"

A heavy atmosphere loomed over her, the tension she felt almost chocked her out of breath. The heavy air was as cold as that it could freeze her to her bones; the wind was blowing away all the tiny strands of midnight blue locks, the swirls of wind disturbed the tranquillity of the night in the woods howling a foreboding message. It was a mesmerizing sight for any men if he had seen her now in the moment. For all eternity Hinata could hide her potential to be a woman with her plain masquerade, but the one who has to tear down her mask was the man with murderous intent hovering over her with his dark aura so intense that could penetrate any soul.

It was his rage, she knew. That dark spark behind the veil of his eyes showed her his suffering despite his denial, this man...

'He's suffering immeasurable amount of pain…' her mind cooed.

Hinata didn't know she had to confront him so soon, she wasn't ready to take him upon a fight, and she wanted to solve this civilly. But who said the last survivor of the Uchiha clan was civil? He was anything but that. The fight on her part was just a warm up for the Uchiha; she knew she was no match to his power. She was a crawling baby who was up against a stunning warrior god. He shone with his might, the dark lens around the pupil of his eyes slowly transferred into deep red, his eyes spun as wheels that generated power hidden within his blood.

The Hyuuga breathed lowly, she was surprised that she had excited him despite the inequality in strength, she was nowhere near his league, not at all and she knew of it. Hinata was well aware that Sasuke is on equal footing with Naruto in regards to his ability. There is no way she could ever win against him, and this match without a doubt had an already clearly drawn outcome. Both as a Hyuuga and her pride as a ninja was brought forth, to face this cunning man before her, she had to bring out her best technique that was still on work to stand her own against him. So, this guy is the first to witness her new technique…

'Why it had to be now…? I wanted to save it for a fight worth to protect someone… at the cost of my own…' Her lavender tinted orbs met his coal black abyss.

'It's pathetic enough for me to display it to the likes of him… and for a fight that was initiated for his amusement…' Hinata gritted her teeth.

Red blood seeped out from the wound that she received from his last blow, the aching was still there and her whole petite frame was able to withstand his intensity. Despite the shivering, she stood calmly with her fighting stance. The woman's skin was practically glowing in green light; she sparkled like an emerald gem stone under the shine of the moon light. Hinata who had mastered some technique to mould medical chakra, released them through her tenketsus to wield them against the Uchiha, it was both offensive and defensive technique that wears out the user if she wasn't careful. There was a layer of shroud forming around her, from her hands that were manipulating the water; she had created a web of water streams in order to project thin slices of water darts at him.

As she stared at the man, there was only pity in her eyes for the one before her, she was angry at him a moment ago, but now witnessing what lies deep within his soul, she felt a fraction of herself reacting towards his feelings, she could resonate with the beast inside him and she more or less found the reason why Sasuke acts the way he is now… there was a similarity in between them.

The woman before his eyes was someone he ought to see… HE was taken aback, he didn't deny any of that heart beating sensation he felt when she excited him and the way his senses went wild a moment ago because of her wasn't any lie. But none of it made his resolve fade away, she was his toy and would be his until he says or decides otherwise, even if he discards her randomly she's still his.

"Feh" A smirk and a mixture of his murderous but amused laugh escaped his throat.

'She was able to excite me to this level… Not bad, this woman… choosing to torment her wasn't a waste of time' the man's cold orbs adorned with the powers of the second stage of sharingan were now affixed on her.

Her lips twitched at his rather teasing but threatening laugh; despite what she was feeling she remained calm. Her eyes followed closely at every turn of his heels, the man walked around her as if he was looking at a relic in the visit to a museum. But for her, it was like a lion targeting and locking its prey with its intense stare.

Sasuke sensed her uneasiness, with the way he was staring at her, despite his anger he said "Do you think you can win against me with only this?"

Her brows furrowed at his rhetoric question, she knew he was making fun of her, "… I have no intention to fight you from the start…"

Unsheathing his Kusanagi, the man chuckled, "I reckon so… It seems you already know what it would cost you…"

Swinging the sword that is now covered with his electrifying energy, Sasuke continued, "I don't intend to show mercy… I'm so bored that I'm willing to play with you… be grateful"

'He intends to finish me off…' she bit her lower lip in nervousness stopping a shudder, 'I must… fight back. I must, at least… tell him how much everyone is missing him…'

She thought as she eyed him carefully, his movements were laid back, he wasn't serious at all, in other words, she's not even close to be that strong enough to get him serious.

Closing her eyes shut, for a moment the lady prayed, 'Kami-sama… there must be a reason for all this. Please! Let me see it!'

Her Byakugan activated reflexively as she opened her, veins popped around her eyes readily scanning the man and his chakra. She would never choose this on her own, she wouldn't fight meaninglessly. But, she had no choice, despite all her gentleness… Hinata would never give in to this man. She wouldn't be his for his wretched amusement, she wasn't destined to be a toy or a plaything for anyone, for that matter, she must absolutely free herself from this fate that was already sealed readily for her from the start. It was a do or die situation for the Hyuuga, to prove her worth to the world, and for the one man she's in love with… she had to bring this Uchiha back to his nest even if he kills her for it.

"I…"

Pausing momentarily the woman eyed Sasuke, with a glare "I'm not going down without a fight"

Sasuke's glare on her intensified, there was a burning light in his eyes; his lips fully spread a smile across his face with a malicious tone he said, "Indeed."

The Hyuuga rooted to her feet on the surface of the water while her activated eyes searched for the directions of the Uchiha was speeding up, she couldn't exactly tell where he could strike her but her eyes aided her to see his chakra signal, hence there is no way for the Uchiha to hide his presence but she couldn't match up to his speed. The woman sprung her head above as the dark and dampened skies of the night groaned; she saw a gist of his chakra signal and blocked the attack when she saw the Uchiha appear above her.

Hinata groaned as he attacked her on the sides with his Kusanagi infested with electrical chakra she spun around to block the blows but his chakra had weakened her water barrier that had broken off, revealing her for his body attacks. Hinata leaped back as he approached her head on, the two rushed through the deep forest, the Hyuuga sprung from one branch to the other heaving for her breath as Sasuke blocks the kunai from her. Hinata gasps as she lost sight of him she turns around without missing a moment only to come face to face with the Uchiha. Her breath caught in her throat when he pinned her to a tree with his Kusanagi slashing through her right hand straight into the tree, before he could land his blow he was covered into white smoke the woman replaced herself into a log.

"A bunshin" he chuckled and asks aloud into the forest that echoed his voice, "you have pretty strong basics heiress…"

Pulling out his Kusanagi the man turned around his eyes darting here and there in pursuit of the Hyuuga, his prey. He walked through trees, grasses were scrunching under every step he puts forward Sasuke smirks as he whispered, "come on out, hey Hyuuga…"

He stops has he placed an arm on a tree trunk, as his feet landed on a step forward his eyes widened a fraction when he saw a string of iron he quickly sprung away from the site as he saw it, he was forced away from the trees with a vast speed as the explosive tags blows off, the initial blast has triggered the other tags placed at the area and a series of tags exploded one after the other around the Uchiha that he had to take cover. The man slowly got upon his feet staggering a little as the ground below his feet collapses; the smoke left by the blast was just clearing away. The grey smokes with dust were fully blown off with sudden gust of wind as the Uchiha multiplies himself into his kage bunshins. Each and every clone sprung into different direction searching for the Hyuuga, The true Uchiha watched with his sharingan as dust particles of blast by blast of the paper spell broke nearby with his clones disappear one by one. His nostrils twitched with the weird smell hovering in the damp air of the night, Sasuke gritted his teeth noting that his loss of footing as he leapt from branch to branch.

Covering his nose, the Uchiha smirked as he spotted movements within a bush not far away from the tree he landed on. Unsheathing his legendary sword Sasuke's summoned reptiles sneaked down the tree and glided through the grass to his bidding. A predator that hunts through the forest knows full well of where to find its prey. As he reached following behind his summons, the man found his target. Untouched by the reptiles she stood before him, her hands where facing him with blue green chakra flowing through her palm, her having to shed her overly large lavender coat. The woman moved her foot an inch, sliding against the dusty ground in fighting stance, again ready to receive the Uchiha's blows.

She was forced back as Sasuke launched on her. His taijutsu moves were too fast for her, as she recoiled when his fists landed on her abdomen twice. Sweat travelled down her temple as she staggered, she was down on her last bit of chakra while the Uchiha came back on her with a round house kick which she barely blocked with her palms. Her chakra did as much as it could to deliver inner injury; some of Sasuke's tenketsus were blocked thanks to that.

Despite the normal lack of chakra, Sasuke felt that those gentle fist jabs that he had received from her just now are somehow different. The damage was different. His senses are starting to numb down as he moved forward. However so, it was obvious that he was winning. Hinata pulled away from him with gasping desperately for more air. Her stance was growing weaker, she was getting slower at dodging and received more of his blows. Her byakugan gave in and the veins disappeared. As she bent over avoiding his shuriken Sasuke appeared behind her pulling her arm and twisting the limb roughly, earning himself a painful cry from her throat.

"A-Augh!" she gritted her teeth as her lips quivered in pain.

He smirked full well of knowing what she had done. The Uchiha hovered onto her back, leaning closely to her ears, he whispered, "Not bad."

Hinata eyed the Uchiha on her left, her white marble orbs without a tinge of fear. Something within his guts jolted in excitement as he met her eyes. She was definitely not bad. He would have had a paralyzed leg if she was a little stronger. Sasuke stood by her back, with not even feeling anything from his feet. He couldn't move them to his will, the jabs he received from her earlier weren't only meant to close his chakra points, but to also numb his muscle receptors and paralyze him.

Sasuke's hold on her wrist intensified clutching and damaging her bones, however so, the woman did not shriek nor let a sound this time, Sasuke watched her pained expression as she bit her lower lip to bleed. His right hand sneaked through her waist, pulling her closer to him.

Sasuke leaned against her cheeks; he said "it's not too late…"

"No… Never" she gasped between her words.

The reptiles emerged from the covers of the dried leaves as the Uchiha's fingers bid them. He was still hanging onto her as firmly while the snakes glided down to his feet, slowing moving onto the heiress. The cobra stretched its mandibles as a scroll covered and dampened with mucus from the snake's throat emerged out and the cobra dropped it down on Sasuke's outstretched palm.

He motioned to the Hyuuga to read it, and she did. Her fingers shivered and her face was contorted with fright. The words contained by the scroll were nothing but an utter shock to her. She re-read the scroll again and again thinking that she might have mistaken the content, but reality was far away from what she deemed it to be. That very scroll was encrypted with words that sealed her fate away from her grasp. It was like she had no control over her own life, again and again someone has to pull the string for her to act. Her tears threatened to fall; she felt growing pinning pain in her heart that was clouding her mind.

'Was I no more than a puppet?' her marble white eyes searched for something far, in denial.

Her knees grew weak as Sasuke regained his control over his, "what worth…am I?" she whispered.

As the Uchiha's feet thundered on the dusty ground, as he sat on a boulder staring down at the Hyuuga who lost all her will that she had about few minutes ago, the vigour that he witnessed before was now gone. She was there limply fallen on her knees, staring down at a piece of old treaty, signed by fools who called themselves leaders. He readily anticipated that she would behave the way she did; however, it was not so entertaining anymore. The one thing that amused him about her is that she was, unpredictable. Just like a certain knucklehead.

..

Ninja's are like the shadow, they thrive and live in darkness for the sake of others. They were nameless, faceless, and they are anonymous. No one can spot them, they are like the mist that appears after rain, they are the mirage however you may get a glimpse of it, feel its presence though it cannot be caught and cannot be contained. Like water, ninjas are slick, silent and formless. However he was the exception of all that…

'knucklehead…' a certain image of a smiling, whiskered, foxy faced ninja popped into the Uchiha's thoughts. An unforgettable person, Naruto was to him and also to this woman; who had now sprung to him with a deadly glare as her chakra flared to her white orbs.

And, he was right.

"Tap"

Unpredictable, she certainly is. Sasuke was dumbfound, however that was an understatement. More than that, sparing with a woman like her, made his heart thunder and want it more to torment her. Sasuke had to hold down her palm that she forced on his forehead, she was close to carving a seal on him; his breath caressed her chest as she glared her byakugan down at him. However, the chakra wasn't enough to travel down to her palm in order to temporarily cut off the chakra to his coal black eyes. He was amused enough that she had made it through.

"You pass" He smirked.
