Chapter 20- Mated To Be With You
*Normal P.O.V*
*Last Time*
"Kagome is supposed to be in Paris with Hojo! That's why she isn't coming."
"No way... so they're all going to be in Paris together?"
"I can't even imagine how this is going to end up." Sango put her head in her hands.
"Who do you think got there first?"
"Hojo got there first and by now I'd imagine that Kikyo is there too."
Sango's head shot up and she looked at the people in front of her with wide eyes.
*Now*
"Kagome? What the hell is going on?" Sango asked and shot up from her seat with her arms crossed.
"I thought you said that you we're going to Paris." Miroku said to the person next to Kagome.
"I was originally, but sometimes things change."
Sango continued to glare at Kagome, she only laughed and hid behind the man she came with.
"I think she's mad at me."
"Guess we should explain this then." Inuyasha said and began the story.
*Flashback*
"Okay I know that something is wrong so just tell me what it is already." Kagome said and gave Inuyasha her best accusing look.
"Kagome...let's end it."
Tears formed in Kagome's eyes and she gasped a bit.
"What do you mean end it?"
"Hey hang on I didn't mean it like that!" He ran over to her and wiped the tears away.
"So you aren't breaking up with me?"
"I would never even dream of it Kagome."
"What did you mean by end it then?"
"I meant we should end all this drama with Kikyo and Hojo. I thought I could just go on ignoring them, but I want it all to be over. At least until we can mate."
"That makes sense did you have something in mind?"
"Actually," Inuyasha pulled Kagome into his lap as he sat on a desk. "I have a plan, but it's going to require a lot of acting on you're part."
"What do I have to do?"
"Well first I'll need you to start crying before we leave this room."
"What do I need to cry for?"
"So our break up will seem believable to Sango and Miroku."
"You actually want to break up?"
"No I don't, I already told you I didn't. I need them to believe this is for real. And before you ask no they can't be in on it."
"Why not?"
"Because it won't seem as real if they know. And remember that time they decided to lock us my room with a porno playing?"
"That was more Miroku than Sango..."
"She still didn't let us out. And if they had waited a minute longer we wouldn't have made it to prom to mate."
"Fair enough so this is part getting people off our backs and part payback. What made you think of this?"
"I've been trying to find a way to get back at them for weeks now. And earlier Kikyo grabbed me and started begging for another chance again and I realized that I was over it with them. So I told her some bull about missing her and told her that I'd end it with you. She bought it of course and happily agreed to go along with what I wanted."
"You told her you'd break up with me?"
"Kagome, let me finish talking. Yes I told her that, but we aren't actually breaking up we just have to look like it. We can still meet up and see each other and talk on the phone after school and on weekends."
"Anything else?"
"Yeah and this is the best part." He went into his pocket and pulled out two tickets.
"Are these tickets to Paris?"
"Yup this is where Kikyo and Hojo will be spending prom."
"How is that going to happen?"
"You'll give Hojo some crap about how we were going together and aren't now. Then I'll tell the same thing to Kikyo."
"Okay that all seems easy, but what happens when they get there?"
"Someone will take them to their room and by the time they figure out what happened we'll already be mated."
"When do we start?"
Inuyasha smirked and kissed her lips. "Right now, I'll text you later tonight though." He said pulling back.
"I love you puppy face. Oh and," Kagome moved away from him and hit him on the head. "If you ever scare me like that again you'll wake up with your balls attached to your forehead."
"I'll have the pleasure of knowing that you had your hands on them at some point."
"You're so disgusting."
"I love you too babe."
*End*
"You did this to me because of a prank that I had nothing to do with?" Sango asked.
"You may not have had anything to do with it, but you did still help." Kagome said.
"And before you think about getting us back remember that I let you hit me in the face. Kagome couldn't get the swelling to go down for a while." Inuyasha said and absentmindedly rubbed the spot where Sango hit him.
"When did Kagome see you?" Sango asked and looked between the two of them.
"I went out later on the night we fake broke up." Kagome said.
"Was it when you said you needed to get out and clear your mind?"
"Yeah, we met up in this shed that know one knows about around his house. He brought ice with him and I tried to get the swelling to go down from your hit."
"At least you only got it once. She hits me a few times everyday." Miroku said.
"You deserve being hit all the time, but is that all you have to say to them." Sango asked.
"I had a feeling that something was up when they broke up. I never doubted him for one second."
"Liar! You said that you wouldn't ever consider putting your gifted hands on a man for anything. Except if it was to remove Inuyasha's balls and reattach them to his forehead."
"Damn man I pissed you off that much?" Inuyasha asked.
"That's harsh Miroku..." Kagome agreed with a nod.
"You said the exact same thing to me."
"What's your point puppy face?"
Inuyasha didn't get a chance to respond because his phone rang. He smirked when he saw who is was and showed it to Kagome and she started laughing immediately.
"Who is it?" Sango asked as he answered.
"Hey Kikyo, what's up?"
Kagome took the phone and put it on speaker so everyone could hear.
"...here with Hojo for some reason!"
"Say that again."
"I asked what happened because I'm here with Hojo."
"Really your with Hojo? Tell me everything."
"Well I got off the plane and saw the dude with my name on a board waiting by a car. I knew you set it up for me, so I got in and he took me to this really cute hotel and I checked in using your name. Then when I got up to the room I saw bags in front of the door and thought it was you but I found Hojo instead. He keeps telling me that he was supposed to be here with Kagome."
"I'm amazed you haven't figured it out by now Kikyo." Kagome said.
"Who is that? Kagome? What are you doing with him? Where are you?" Hojo asked.
"Where else would we be at? We're obviously at prom." Inuyasha said.
"What do you mean prom? You're supposed to be here with me!" Kikyo shrieked.
"Guys it's simple, you were tricked. Kagome and I never broke up and we sent you, the two people determined on splitting us up, to Paris."
"And just how the hell are we going to get back?" Hojo asked.
"Not really my problem, but you two have fun. Just don't go crazy since I only paid for the weekend."
"Wait Inuyasha-" He hung up on her and looked at his friends.
"What?"
"That was pretty awesome." Miroku said.
"Yeah I can't believe that worked." Sango said.
"Do you forgive me Sango?" Kagome asked.
"Of course I do and by the way I love the dress."
Kagome had on a strapless black dress that ended just above her knees. With it she put on a black fedora with black boots and onyx accessories.
"Thanks, but your dress is gorgeous."
Sango's dress was a sleeveless two piece baby blue gown. The top and bottom half had white swirl designs and the top ended right above her belly button. To match she had on diamond accessories, a silver headband with white flowers in her curled hair and white heels.
"May I have this dance Kagome?" Inuyasha asked and offered her his hand.
"No way I get to dance with her first." Sango grabbed Kagome by the arm and pulled her to the dance floor.
"What just happened?" Miroku asked.
"Your girl just stole mine..." Inuyasha said.
"Should we dance together then?"
Inuyasha hit him in the back of the head. "Sango was right you do deserve to be hit."
"Ouch... asshole..."
*Later*
Prom was now coming to an end. After Sango and Kagome finished dancing they both danced with their boyfriends and then with each other again. And during Inuyasha and Kagome's dance he whispered all the things he wanted to do to her into her ear, she almost asked to leave early.
"What should we do now?" Kagome asked as they all stood outside.
"I don't know about you, but I want to celebrate with my queen." Miroku said and wrapped his arm around Sango. They won prom king and queen.
"I still can't believe I didn't win that." Inuyasha said.
"Since when have you cared about being prom king?"
"Since I realized the title suited me."
"King Inuyasha, yeah no I don't think so."
"Whatever man, you ready Kagome?"
"Ready for what?" Sango asked.
"We're making up for lost time." Kagome hid her face in Inuyasha's arm so they couldn't see her blush.
"What lost time you saw each other all the time."
"We had a time limit then, now we have all the time in the world."
"Ah I get it now, come on Sango let's leave the children alone." Miroku said and took her hand.
"Get what? Can someone fill me in?" She said and allowed Miroku to pull her off.
"Why are you blushing?" Inuyasha asked and pulled Kagome close to him.
"I'm not..." She said.
"Yeah you are, it's cute."
"Oh shut it before I change my mind."
"You won't do that because you want it as badly as I do. I noticed how much on the dance floor."
"Why don't you quit talking and show me just how much you want it."
Inuyasha kissed her lips once and then carried her off.
*Next Day*
Kagome woke up in a hotel bed with a naked body, swore neck and no one else. She tried to feel for her boyfriend but felt nothing except for the cold sheets on his side. Sitting up slowly so that she didn't have to strain her neck too much and looked around. The white Christmas lights we still on and the rose petals were still on the floor, all of the candles were out though...
*Flashback*
Inuyasha walked Kagome into their room and she wanted to cry. The room was dark except for the lights that were strung up and the few candles that were burning on the dresser. The bed and the floor were covered in rose petals and there was also a little black box in the middle of the bed as well. Kagome turned to Inuyasha to ask if it was what she thought it was and he shook his head.
"It's just a box, there isn't anything in it yet. One day there will be and I wanted you to know that. And I need to know if you really want this."
"Of course I want this."
"Are you sure? This goes deeper than human marriage, for demons it's for life and there isn't a way out."
"Why would I want a way out? Why would I not want to be with you forever? I know how I feel about you and I know that you're the one. I love you so much, more than I love the Lion King." She laughed and so did he.
"I think I might love you more than ramen."
"You think?"
"I was kidding! I do love you more than ramen and if I had to give it up for you I would."
"Well luckily you won't have to do that. Now come here..."
*Flashback*
The fun started after that and it went on a few times that night. But where the heck was Inuyasha now? Kagome tried to get up to look for him and ended up falling back down on the bed because her body hurt so bad and then groaned because of the pain.
"Morning sleeping beauty." Inuyasha said and walked into the room.
"Afternoon is more like it," She looked at the clock that said that it was a little after noon. "Where'd you go?"
"Were you afraid that I left you?" He laughed and scooped her up into his arms.
"No," Yes. "I was just curious."
"I went out for some food. Are you hungry?"
"Starving, what'd you get?"
The smirk he had on his face told her what it was.
And she was right. All he got was ramen.
"I'm not even surprised." Kagome said and sat at the table.
"You shouldn't be, you're the one who said that I didn't have to give it up."
"Mind if I change my answer?"
"I mind." He put their bowls down on the table and walked over to stand behind her. He moved her hair to the side and looked at the fang mark that was on her neck.
"Does it hurt?" He asked.
"No so much anymore."
"I'm sorry I don't like hurting you."
Kagome turned around to face him and she kissed his hand.
"I don't care about the pain. All I care about is us being mated."
Inuyasha smiled at his mate and picked her up.
"Whoa, what are you doing?" She laughed.
"I love so much and I want to show you how much again. And again, and again, and again."
"What about the ramen?"
"We can heat it up later."
This chapter is long overdue and only because I was waiting on the lemon to be made but I haven't heard from them in a while so I decided to scrap the lemon and just finish this instead. Would anyone want a little epilogue or should I leave it here?
