Author's Note: Alright, here comes the next chapter :D I've already updated It's a Girl, so after this i'll only have one more to go, woo! Sorry I've been slow guys, but I hope you enjoy this and I'm really sorry about being a slow butt.

"Wait seriously?! That's awesome!" If he wasn't confined to his wheelchair he would've hugged her…. And probably been punched. It would've been worth it though.

"Okay well it's not really a date I guess. We decided to take things slow. I'm going to be having dinner with her family this Friday." She couldn't help but grin like a school girl in love. It seemed odd on her face, like something that'd been missing for a very long time… but it seemed to fit just right.

He pulled back slightly in confusion, "Wait, what? That is not slow… at all." He had a perplexed look on his face, trying to figure out if the world had changed somehow and that meeting the family on the first date was a thing.

"Wait, I didn't mean like meeting them as boyfriend and girlfriend. Ah, shit, I am not explaining this properly," she said with a groan.

He didn't really understand, but he wanted to be supportive. "Well, all that matters is that you both kinda sorta like each other, right?"

Shego smiled slightly as she collected herself, "Yeah, that's all that really matters."

"Have you already picked out what to wear?" He didn't know what really went into a girl getting ready for a date or getting ready to meet the parents of the date, but he was pretty sure presentation was important. He remembered when courting his wife he'd dressed extremely formal in hopes of impressing her parents so that he didn't find himself beaten and left for dead on a curb down a back alley.

She shrugged, "I've never really given a care to what others think of my appearance, but I figure I have something in my closet that'll do. I may not care what others think of my wardrobe, but I do KNOW that my wardrobe is relatively nice."

"Shego, you're meeting her family for the first time. Don't you want to leave a good impression?" Coulder was pretty sure ALL girls were supposed to worry about this sort of thing.

The green skinned woman let out a bark of laughter, "That's where you have things wrong. For one, I don't usually leave a good impression, ever. Two, I've already met them, on more than one occasion. I was a bad guy, she was a good guy. Besides, her dad used to go to college with my boss. Let's just say there were some creative differences there, and her dad was kidnapped."

Coulder's eyebrows rose considerably. "And you think you're going to survive going to her house after all the shit you put them through?"

Shego ran a hand through her hair. "Honestly, I'm not worried about me surviving if I go to her house. I'm worried that they won't survive if I feel threatened."

"Oh come on, you wouldn't hurt them, right?"

Shego shrugged, "Honestly, I don't know. If you couldn't tell, being around Kimmie already throws me emotionally off-balance. I don't know what'll happen if I'm around her family and they don't like me."

Coulder frowned and said, "Well what if I accompanied you or someth-"

Shego held up a hand to stop him. "You've been away from your family long enough. Stay with them. It'll be okay."

"Well… maybe find SOMEBODY to take with you… or at least talk to Kim about this." He slowly wheeled himself to the door. "If you keep it bottled up things won't go well. Communication is key."

She smiled sadly, "Yeah, I'll see what I can do, thanks."

He nodded and left the room, almost bumping into someone on his way out. He was surprised to see who it was.

"Hey, sorry, I didn't mean to get in your way," the redhead said in a rather flustered manner.

Coulder beamed at her, "Hey it's not a problem." He wheeled away with a little victorious smile on his face as the redhead entered Shego's office.

"Hey," Kim said, knocking lightly on the door as she entered.

Shego had just moved over to her desk to start preparing for the rigorous lesson of the day. "What's up, Cupcake?"

"I um, was just wondering why Coulder was here. You two seem to be talking a lot more often."

Shego felt like she was seeing a spark of jealousy, but she figured teasing the girl would be a bad move at this moment. "Yeah. When you get stuck in a cave wondering if you're going to die any moment, you kind of get close to the only person you have to talk to. You end up saying things you wouldn't say otherwise. We both had some things to get off our chest."

"So… you guys are friends now?" she asked hesitantly.

Shego chuckled and smiled slightly, "I guess you could say that… it's been a while since I thought anyone was my friend."

"Well what about the Director?"

Shego stood up abruptly from her chair, startling Kim. "That's it!"

"What's it…?"

"I'm going to bring Betty to dinner with us!"

Kim immediately grew confused. "Wait? What? Why would you bring Betty to dinner? I mean, I thought the point was for you to get to know my family…?"

"Yes, well after my track record of being emotionally unstable and hurting people, I'd like to avoid hurting your family, and I can guarantee you that if Betty is there I won't be hurting anyone."

"I am really confused. Slow down. Stop, rewind, and hit play."

"Look, when I'm around you I'm obviously emotionally compromised okay? When I get like that I hurt people. I don't want to hurt your family and so I need something to reign in my emotions. Betty is perfect for that."

"How is she perfect for that?" Kim asked with a confused expression.

"Yeah, how am I perfect for that?" asked the one-eyed blonde from the doorway.

Shego chuckled and looked Betty dead in the eye, "Because whenever I get upset, you've always known how to channel my anger elsewhere."

Betty sighed. "So I'm being used as a restraint for you? And why exactly do you need a restraint?"

"Because I'm going to Kimmie's house for dinner, and I'd rather not do anything I regret."

Kim was still confused, "I still don't understand how Betty will help with that…"

Betty sighed and walked into the room, "Because Shego knows that when she gets a little crazy emotionally, I can reign her in."

Kim had no idea how Betty could have such impeccable timing, but seeing as how she was the one in charge here, it didn't completely surprise her. "How?"

"By removing my eye patch."
