Ciel walked down the boulevard, the air was stale as always. Years have come and passed since his beloved passed and children grew up. But like everything that grew they all eventually died. Generations had passed and the only one to stay by his side was Sebastian.

"Ciel what do you want today?" Sebastian asked, years passed and young master was no longer required in public.

"A new book would be nice. That last series was terrible." Ciel scoffed, It was a terrible series, but he found him unable to just leave them without finishing it. 'Edward and Jacob just should have hooked up.. Damnit Vlad..'

"She effecting your thoughts again?" Sebastian smirked at the young lord's face.

"Is he still effecting yours?" Ciel challenged, eyes narrowed. Contacts are a beautiful thing.

Sebastian sighed, "Every thought, every breathe. It feels like I'm surrounded by him."

The bookstore was clean smelling of coffee, and books. It was one of their favorite places to be. No doubt they have read most of the books in the small store but it was a distraction till the next contract. Contract to contract, life was dull.

Least to the Guard dog and his butler.

"Welcome back Ciel, Sebastian." The teen working their called, smiling at his returning customers, James was pleasant enough.

"James." Ciel nodded. Sebastian walked over to make small talk, one of the few people he entertained with conversation.

When the butler returned to his master he was surrounded with books of varies genres. Romance, history, comics, children, literature, and Sci-fi.

"I want all of them." Ciel stared at him, he looked like a child once more, pouting for sweets.

"This should last a week, but you do get a little to bored you should make some friends." Sebastian helped him pick up the mess to purchase them.

His nose twitch and a sweet smell, a slight zing to it but delicious overall, pure. "Ciel."

The younger demon was staring intently at a young woman. "It's coming from her."

Music blasted in her headphones, dress in black jeans a long plaid shirt and turtle neck, her cloth boots came a little under her knee with a beanie, plopped on her head.

Short brown hair poked out from underneath the cap.

"Sebastian I'm quite famished, aren't you?" Ciel's blue eyes turning red.

The woman began to walk away, and Ciel followed, "Eyes young one."

He scoffed before fixing himself, leaving the books on the ground he followed the her to the back of the shop. Where the comics and anime was placed.

She stopped in front of the section.

"Excuse me." Ciel called, before sighing. Headphones.

Tapping her shoulder she turned around, and everything stopped.

It was ... a gift from god.

Green eyes watched him wearily the freckles were identical. Face was flawless of any scar that had been there at another time.

"Can I help you?" her voice was unsure, cautious, smoother then it once was but still rough on the edges.

"I'm sorry, I just.. I saw you and ... You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." Ciel's eyes soften.

Her blush was splashed across her face, like a faded memory. "Uh, Thank you. Um sir?"

"I'm Ciel. Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me?" He smiled at her.

She looked around, "Um I guess, I have time. I'm suppose to meet my friends soon."

"Just a cup, shouldn't take to much of your time."

"Alright, I'm Veronica by the way."

Sebastian held his breathe watching them. If she was her then could he be?
