This is a BBC News World Report.

The have been unconfirmed reports of light skirmishes in New Guinea. The Office of Commander General Cornelia vi Britannia states that whatever the situation the military will handle it quickly and efficiently.

In Northern Asia Russia denies that it is moving troops and weaponry forward in an attempt to invade Siberia. Viceroy Evelyn Futaba issued a warning to Russia stating that Britannia will fight to the last man to defend its territory.

Viceroy Nunnally Kururugi continues to say that Britannia will protect its interests in the Middle East Federation. Any EU or UAA attempt to disrupt the peace will be dealt with.

December 27, 2027 Canberra, Australia

"Who are you?" Jane Archibald asks as Lelouch walks past her.

"Lelouch vi Britannia, emperor and all-around badass," Lelouch replies as he sets his sword on the jeep next to Jane. "This is Scooter. He is foolish enough to think that he is the hero, but we all know it is really me."

Britannian soldiers begin to gather on the ground.

"Looks I better go protect my soldiers since lots of crazy Australians want to hurt them. Silly soldiers are so defenseless without me and Scooter around to protect them."

Several of Jane's companions begin to move slowly towards Lelouch. She can hear them murmuring.

"If we rush, we can take him."

"We can get him before those bastards get here."

"Don't do it!" Jane yells, "He will kill us all. He will kill us all and not even blink an eye while doing it."

"That reminds me, Scooter. What happened to that lazy bum, Blinky? He said he was going to help me on this mission."

The gathered Australians stare at Lelouch as he walks towards his airship.

"Oh and you can thank your president and the EU for taking your country back to the Stone Age. Once my airship gets back in the air, I am going to bomb the fuck out of what is left of your pathetic country. You jackasses are making me miss Winter Wonderland.

"Your Majesty, you probably shouldn't agitate the locals in that manner," Ayame states.

"Look at them standing there scared because that girl said I would kill them."

"Well you were probably thinking of doing it."

"Well Scooter did suggest that."

"Perhaps it would be better if Scooter took a nap and His Majesty stopped all the crazy talk and did something about his face," CC says as she moves hand over her face.

Lelouch notices that the mask he wears to hide his real age has come off. It is probably do to the fact that do to his powersuit short circuiting because of the EMP.

"It was cool how I sliced through those knightmares without harming the pilots."

Everyone turns to the wreckage of the construction knightmares and see the pilots walking away relatively unharmed.

"How did you do that leaping through the air?" Jane asks.

"Who do you think designed those silly little knightmares? See once you cut through the external shell, you just have to slice the sakuradite sensor for it to fall apart."

"Nobody wants to listen to your nerd knightmare talk," CC comments, "It's like that time you tried talking about chess as foreplay. By the way how are you walking around with a short circuited power suit? Isn't it really heavy?"

"No heavier than you."

"Your Majesty, the fleet commander wishes for me to inform you that all flight and weapon systems are still operable," Ayame states attempting to diffuse the situation.

"Thank you Ayame, at least someone is trying to be useful," Lelouch says mockingly as he glares at CC, "Looks like it is time to finish the conquest of this sorry excuse for nation. I have to be back home in a few days."

"You will have to conquer this country over our dead bodies," one of the Australians states to the cheers of the others.

"That is the point. Once the humans are gone, the kangaroos and dinosaurs can retake this continent."

"You are trying really hard to make these people think you are mentally-handicapped enough for one of them to attempt to attack you," CC remarks.

A slight smirk appears on Lelouch's face. "You know me so well."

"Kallen says you should stop acting like an idiot."

Lelouch looks back at the gather Australians. "Round these people up and any others that come in this direction. Take their prints and a DNA sample to compare to the data base."

"You are taking us hostage?" Jane asks

"Those bright lights in the sky were not some sort of light show. That was the explosion of several FLEIA missiles. Each one probably had enough power to destroy Canberra. Given their trajectory and the last known location of your president, he probably launched them in a last ditch attempt to finish off Britannian forces," Lelouch sighs as some Australians let out a small cheer, "They probably got the FLEIA missiles from the EU who could care less if a few million Australians died along with the Britannian military."

"What does that have to do with us? That just means that the president is coming with the army."

There are a fewer cheers as many begin to realize that there not sufficient Australian forces to fight Britannia.

Lelouch continues, "While the FLEIA missiles did not explode close enough to the city to damage it much, the resulting EMP did that should be evident by the fact that your vehicles stopped. There are no remaining Australian forces other than some militia. Admiral Dundee had about forty percent of your military with him in the invasion of New Zealand in total about eight hundred thousand troops. That force was wiped out two days ago. Another fifty percent is in New Guinea chasing a force about third its size. This force will soon be wiped out by my Oriental forces." Lelouch looks around at the Australians present. He knows his last comment will get a reaction from them. "What is left of the Australian military, we will find and defeat." Now Lelouch straightens himself and glares at the Australians. "You do not have anyone that can match me in a mental or physical fight."

As Lelouch talks, many of the Australians grow fearful of his nonchalant manner. Lelouch stands there as if no one could possibly hurt him.

"Wait a few moments ago you said you would compare our prints and DNA samples to the database. What database?" Jane asks.

Lelouch smirks, "Why the Australian government database. I did not spend the last day in Canberra simply sitting around. I had every file in the Australian government computers copied to my more secure systems. So the entirety of the Australian government's information is now in my possession and most likely nowhere else," Lelouch begins to chuckle, "I probably do not need to tell you that the government was well informed about its citizens. In particular the face recognition program is uncanny," Lelouch says as he pulls out a tablet.

Lelouch points the tablet towards the Australians. "Let's see who that creepy guy in the back is. Ah William Wallace, well this does not look too good. We will have to keep an eye on him. Let's see how about this girl in the front who keeps asking questions." Lelouch points the tablet at Jane. "Jane Archibald, well the Australian government certainly has some perverts. Look at these images." Lelouch tilts the table towards Ayame who blushes after seeing what is there. "Definitely have to keep a close eye on her." Lelouch continues flipping through the government file on Jane. "You can take them now."

Jane looks around and sees that during Lelouch's talk Britannian troops and knightmares completely surround the gathered Australians. Despite holding a tablet, Lelouch's hand is still on his sword. At this range a trained soldier with a sword can be as deadly as one with a gun. A small airship lands nearby, and the knightmares form a path to it. Jane assumes that it is a prison.

Lelouch, Ayame, and CC begin walking back towards the airship as Britannian soldiers begin pushing the Australians towards the prison airship.

"Too bad, the prison airship arrived," Lelouch remarks, "I wanted to tell the story of how me and Scooter met."

"Your Majesty, I doubt they wanted hear that," Ayame states.

"You're probably right. Such a cool story would be wasted on such losers."

"Is the Australian government's surveillance program really that intrusive?" CC asks.

Lelouch hands her the tablet. "See for yourself. The camera on the prison airship is connected to the system so everyone that walks in will be scanned."

"How did they manage to get some of these pictures?"

The government probably has ways to hack into all personal communication devices," Lelouch replies. "All they have to do is pick who they believe is dangerous and find a way to get into their home. They could simply sneak in or enter under the ruse of performing a repair."

"Sounds like you have some experience with this," CC remarks.

"It is quite logical if you think about it. I am surprised that your spy operation lasted as long as it did. Darwin must be a screwed up place."

"You have no idea. "

"We will deal with the prisoners later. We have a conquest to finish."

Six Australians run past the guards towards Lelouch. Ayame quickly pulls out a gun and shoots three in the knee. The others pause as dozens of Britannian soldiers turn their weapon towards them.

Lelouch nudges CC. "When did Ayame learn to shoot like that?"

"She is your wife and assistant," CC answers, "You should know the answer."

Lelouch glares at fallen Australians. "However Ayame's combat inexperience causes to her to have mercy on the enemy."

Lelouch walks towards the Australians that attempted to rush him. The three that stopped kneel to cover the three that were shot. Lelouch begins swinging his sword around. The Britannian soldiers slowly move forward.

"Mercy is for the weak. A man confronts you, he is your enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy."

Lelouch slams his sword into the ground and cracks his knuckles. After a few moments, he shakes his head and picks Scooter back up.

"On second thought, I do not have time to deal with pieces of shit like you," Lelouch begins walking back towards the airship. "Ayame, get me another power suit. Get these airships back in the air as soon as possible. I want to start pounding the fuck out of the rest of this country."

Lelouch rips off his power suit and cosmetics. CC stares at him.

"What are you doing? They are going to see," CC trails off as Lelouch walks past her.

"Who cares. Who is going to believe these idiots anyways. Besides I doubt they understand what they are looking at."

Lelouch continues walking towards the airship. Britannian soldiers move in and take the Australians hostage.

Lelouch sits at his desk. Although this war was over before it began, there are many complications. CC walks into the office and towards Lelouch.

"I thought you were going to kill them with your bare hands. Those poor fools didn't know who they were messing with. You are right that Ayame showed them mercy by shooting them before you got our hands on them."

Lelouch sits quietly but opens the cabinet where his cosmetics are located.

"Just sit there. I will put that on you," CC says in a motherly tone. "Really you may be more trouble than you worth."

Lelouch sits still as CC finishes.

"There now you look like the almost middle age man you should be instead of eternal teenager you are," CC says as she walks away. She stops at the door. "Why didn't you kill them?"

"They were beyond pitiful. Nothing but common people who couldn't even hold a rifle properly. They aren't even worth worrying about," Lelouch replies as he looks at a picture of James, Gabriel, and Charlotte on his desk.

"I see. There is no news out of Darwin. They can probably handle themselves for a bit, but."

"Don't worry something is on the way there as we speak."

CC looks at the live map of Lelouch's units. During the FLEIA attack, they mass for the united protection of their shield, but they are already moving. The map even contains Urabe and Sora's units. There is nothing near the vicinity of Darwin, other than a few troops in New Guinea. Lelouch could not possible move any more pieces without further weakening his defenses elsewhere.

Lelouch sits there with a grin as he looks at a mirror. Lelouch adjusts what is left of his sleeves.

"As they say the show must go on."

Darwin

Naoto, Rivalz and what is left of the spy team are hiding out in a destroyed battleship that was blown ashore. In the dark and rubble they look just like everyone else. Soon they will have to find a way to off the continent or communicate with the Britannian invasion force.

"There isn't much out there," Rivalz says.

"Maybe we should head back to the compound," Naoto comments, "It should be just as good as this place."

"Those Aussie bastards swept the place, but I do not think they found the hidden underground bunker," one of the spies remarks.

"It might be buried under some rubble."

"Then we just check it out. If it looks possible, we go in," Rivalz says.

"Then we send a small advance team to check it out. There are components to make a radio that we can use to communicate with the invasion force."

"You two stay here," another of the spies says point at Naoto and Rivalz, "Even the slightest difference will attract attention."

Naoto grudgingly nods approval as he hands out walkie talkies. Despite being children's toys, they are quite efficient. Since the spy team communicates with its own code, they are able to be in contact quite easily. Thankfully Darwin is one of the few places not targeted by FLEIA.

They draw lots to decide who goes where. They have to find supplies and some form of water transportation.

"I wonder what happened to those drones that helped early," Rivalz comments.

"Those things are too small to carry us out of here," Naoto remarks.

Colonel Danbury looks at his charred face through a piece of broken mirror. He survives the drone attack that saved Naoto's group. The resulting explosion leaves him scarred. Now he is on the hunt for them.

"Sir, we have some information that there is a large group of military looking men down by the shore."

Danbury looks towards the ocean. Many of the ships that were at the dock capsized or were destroyed by Britannian missiles. There was no follow up attack for he assumes it was just a distraction.

"They would be looking for a boat to get away from here. Gather everything and everyone we have and lets move in that direction."

Naoto and his group are making final preparations for their individual missions. They decide to wait until the middle of the night to make their moves. Their lookout comes running towards their location.

"Damn, the army is heading this way. Or at least whatever they could gather."

"That bastard Danbury must have survived that drone attack," Naoto comments.

"What's that noise?" Rivalz asks. "It's coming from up there."

With his cybernetic implants his ears are more sensitive to certain sounds.

"I doubt they even have a crop duster here," Naoto comments, If the army is on its way, we better get moving."

"Wait I hear it too," someone else says.

Naoto adjusts his eyes and scans the sky. "What the hell are those?"

Three strange knightmares land near their position and begin firing upon approaching Australian army. With no mecha of their own and only a few armored trucks the Australians are quickly annihilated.

"I guess they are on our side," Naoto remarks.

"Beats me," one of the spies says, "I work in intelligence. I don't design shit. I leave that to the crazy scientists and his Majesty."

Naoto simply grunts. "What now? Those knightmares aren't enough to carry us out."

On cue several transports land directly in front of Naoto's team.

"That is a coincidence."

"Don't be an idiot sir," one of the spies says tapping Naoto's cybernetic parts. "Somebody out there must really want to get you out of here."

They quickly board the transports. Naoto moves forward looking for the controls when a face appears on a giant screen.

"Don't worry Uncle Naoto, I got this."

"Hey it's the First's son. I thought it was going to be those crazy stealth team pilots. I guess they are probably needed elsewhere."

"Okay, everyone is accounted for. Everyone buckle up because this is going to be a bumpy ride," James comments. "Don't worry we tested the Gemini engine a few times before this. There wasn't too many accidents."

"What's the," Naoto doesn't finish his question because the transport lift off at an incredible speed.

Minutes later they arrive at their destination.

"There are some pills if the trip was too much," James states, "If you excuse me, I have ninja training to attend to."

Naoto exits the transport a little woozy but nothing his body cannot handle. He looks over at Rivalz who seems fine.

"Hey Naoto, who was your little person. We got this little girl who reminded me of Milly."

Naoto is not paying attention because nearby are the strange knightmares that landed before the transports. The pilots are being unloaded.

"Isn't that guy that Japanese general who trained Suzaku?" Rivalz asks,

Naoto notes that the first pilot does bare a striking resemblance to Kyoshiro Tohdoh. The others must be some top Britannian pilots.

"No Rivalz, he is dead. That is just an empty shell," Naoto replies. He know all about the capabilities of Lelouch's scientists when it comes to the specimens. Unlike Naoto and Rivalz who maintain their humanity in a metal case. The specimens retain very little humanity. There brains are only used to draw knowledge.

"Come on, let's find out where we are, and where we go from here."

Rivalz nods, "We should probably take a shower and get some food."

Naoto looks around at the other spies who are waiting for him.

"You are the fucking general here," one of the spies comments, "So you probably outrank every one here."

Naoto nods and looks around for someone important looking. He sees a skinny lieutenant standing around.

"Hey lieutenant, where are we?"

For a moment the lieutenant ignores the motley crew that exit the transport, however their demeanor and stance show they are veterans (except for Rivalz).

"You are at the New Guinea Central Base."

"You mean, you are at the New Guinea Central Base, general," one of the spies states pointing at Naoto. "Now get us someone important and some food before you get sent to Siberia."

The lieutenant frantically runs away.

"Look at the poor little guy. Why did you have to be so hard on him?"

The spies all laugh. One of them taps Naoto on the shoulder. "There is our man right there," one of them says gesturing towards Ichiro Futaba.

"Glad to see that you are all in one piece," Ichiro remarks, "Looks like you could really use a bath."

"And food," Rivalz comments.

"You know what that Darwin cuisine was like. Imagine what was left after everything went to hell in a handbasket."

After getting cleaned up and eating, Naoto's group is getting some rest. Being a cyborg, Naoto does not need much rest. Ichiro begins explaining the situation.

"Where are the others?" Naoto asks.

"If you are asking after Midori, she is in Japan. The others probably have returned home or with His Majesty."

"What's next?"

"That's up to you," Ichiro replies. "You can probably head to Japan. The others will probably need to get out there at some point."

Naoto sighs as he considers his next move. "Get us some knightmares. We are heading back to Darwin."

Ichiro picks up his tablet and begins looking up information.

"It seems there is a recent arrival. Actually it arrived at the same time as those transports and strange knightmares."

Naoto looks out towards the knightmare landing area. This base has gone unseen because it is underground.

"By the way, who piloted the transports?" Ichiro inquires.

"It was my nephew and his siblings," Naoto replies, "They arrived at the same time that means they came from the Homeland."

"Most likely."

"And they would be here for us, I assume," Naoto remarks.

Ichiro tilts his head to think. "I suppose so. His Majesty has a way of thinking ahead."

"Yes, he does," Naoto states, "I will give them a few hours to rest. I expect our knightmares to be ready by dawn."

"I will see to it personally."

Ichiro leaves to prepare the knightmares for Naoto's group.

Since the only thing faster than the speed of light is rumor, everyone gathers in the knightmare hangar.

"I thought you guys were getting some sleep," Naoto says.

"We can sleep after we leave Australia to the kangaroos and koalas."

Naoto grunts as the knightmares are revealed.

"Since there aren't any scientists around to introduce these, I guess I will have to do it myself," Ichiro declares, "This is the Titan Mk VII. It takes an insane person to pilot it. They dumbed it down for you," the others groan, "Let's see. I don't have any information on this final one."

"Its the Shen Hu," Naoto states.

"I suppose it is. They changed the armor quite a bit."

"No time to read the manual I guess. Time to kick some ass."

The others let out a cheer.

"Just like those Black Knight speeches we would hear at the academy," one of the spies says, "Concise and precise."

"Really I figured His Majesty would be a little more eloquent than that" Ichiro remarks.

"Well Weinberg would go in kick some ass so that would help out."

"Are you heading back to Darwin?" Ichiro inquires

"No, there is much more important target. Let's mount up."

New Guinea

Despite the arrival of the drones and Titan MK VII, the Britannian forces are still outnumbered. The twins move towards the interior where Australian sea ships will be less effective. They have been on the run from Australian forces all night. The trap they are setting is the final piece of the puzzle.

"Maybe we need to come up with a plan to get you twins out of here," James Longstreet states.

"There is no need to worry about that," Castor remarks, "We knew the risks before coming. Besides we are not out of surprises."

Longstreet nods and heads down to the knightmare hangar. With almost constant fighting for two days, the mechanics have been working nonstop. It is quite a learning experience for the cadets. A year's worth of training in a few days.

"Lieutenant Longstreet, we need you to check the systems on several knightmares."

Longstreet sighs and moves towards the closest knightmare. There is also a shortage of pilots. Still they make sure to have all available knightmares ready as replacements. Longstreet wonders when the next battle will happen. At some point Australia will surround New Guinea. From what he hears that will be meaningless with the overall strength of Britannian forces.

Castor and Pollux are sitting upon their dual thrones. Their little air fleet provides an enticing target for the inexperienced Australian force. Following sound military doctrine, Australian forces are targeting Britannian troops rather than focusing on land. By now Australia's New Zealand invasion force should be defeated, and Britannia's invasion should be underway. The twins have maintained radio silence with the main Britannian forces.

"What now?" Pollux questions

"We wait for the others," Castor answers.

"Should we head north?"

"No, that would make it too obvious. Besides I think we still have one round left in us."

"I hope you are right. We have been lucky so far. Of course those guys are idiots."

Urabe and Sora are in the knightmare hangar. They are sternly instructed to not go out. They know that the Emperor's reach is far.

"Lord Urabe, Lady Cummins, our forward troops have a visual on the enemy. It appears that they have not noticed us."

Sora does not react kindly since she helped develop the stealth function for airships.

The lieutenant scurries away.

"Of course they haven't noticed us. Who do they think built these things?" Sora questions.

"Should we let them know how fucked they are?" Urabe inquires.

"Yes, if we keep moving, we will be past them."

Urabe activates his communicator. "All airships, fire away at the enemy. Knightmares will follow Plan Alpha," Urabe turns the communicator off, "How often does the Emperor have to use Plan B?"

"More than you think. Once he even had to use Plan C," Sora says sarcastically.

"How long until they let us out there?"

Sora does not answer because she is already running through the knightmare hangar.

Urabe smiles and slowly walks towards his own knightmare. Naturally they have an escape plan. A few minutes later Urabe and Sora are flying towards the enemy.

Sora flips on her communicator.

"Hey twins, here we come."

The news coming from Australia has not been good. There have been scattered communications that Britannia has launched it own counter invasion from New Zealand and the East Indies.

Admiral Henry Wood is unsure what to think of the situation. The original plan calls for the island to be surrounded and a blockade to begin. Timor and other smaller islands are also targets. However he considers these plans to be foolish, his first aim is to defeat the Britannian forces in New Guinea. From there he can move on to other islands.

There is no information on the strength of the enemy forces. He doesn't even have any information on Britannian bases. The Australian spy service is a joke. They provide no useful intelligence before the war.

Admiral Wood makes the decision to pursue the only Britannian force he encounters and destroy it. Despite being small, they appear well armed and trained.

"Admiral Wood, we have gathered everything for the attack,"

"Have you located the enemy?"

"Yes, they appear to be getting into defensive position. Not far from the shore."

"We must complete the blockade on this side. We cannot allow them to slip off towards the East Indies. There may be more Britannian forces there. I would hate for our efforts here to be squandered."

"Yes sir, the fleet is moving into position. Admiral, is there any news from the homeland?"

Admiral Wood looks at his assistant. Like any good warrior, he is worried about his comrades and family.

"The last word I receive is that New Zealand was in sight."

The assistant sighs, "That is good to hear. Many were worried about the president's broadcast being cut off. Many have tried to communicate with home despite the order against it."

"Nothing but Britannian trick, my boy. There must be a traitor who will soon be rooted out."

"Of course Admiral. I will relay your instructions to the crews. The southern attack force is slowly coming into place."

Admiral Wood nods and looks at this maps. To the north and west the Australian fleet is moving into to position to attack. To the south a mechanized force is moving to attack the Britannian air fleet. Although they do not the caliber of equipment that Britannian forces do, hopefully that will be enough to drive them north towards the Australian fleet.

"Admiral! Bogies! There are bogies every,"

The sailor does not finish his words because Sora and Urabe's force begins their attack.

NE Australia

Kallen is moving north to block the exit of the EU airships. Her initial move towards Adelaide is quickly changed to Alice Springs' odd military facility. Then she changes that after the launch of the FLEIA missiles. She has Marika set course to intercept the EU airships. Being a graduate of the Britannian Military Academy at West Point, Jr. Division, Marika is trained for this sort of thing.

The EU troops are moving slowly to not attract attention. They also have to be far enough away from Britannian forces in and around Java.

"Your highness, we are being hailed by the EU airships."

"Put them through on the main screen."

Kallen does not recognize the people on the screen. Being more familiar to military issues, Marika and Liliana recognize the EU people. Obviously they recognize Kallen.

"Your highness, your presence here is quite unexpected," an EU officer says with a French accent.

"We were targeting that base you just left, but thought it better to follow you," Kallen replies.

She had no such plans, but no plan survives contact with the enemy.

"Whatever your plans, you quite outnumber us since we are merely an advisory force that now is only seeking to return home."

Kallen snorts loudly causing even Marika to stare at her.

"Like hell you are, I know what those missiles that you just launched. Someone is going to have to pay for that."

The EU officers begin to discuss amongst themselves. A brown skinned officer wearing a uniform reminiscent of the Knights of the Round drags a blonde man forward.

"We will take responsibility for this if you allow the others to leave."

Marika and Liliana's eyes open wide as they recognize the two men. Kallen realizes that she should have paid more attention to details. The blonde is probably some Australian official. The other man is probably the last remaining former Knight of the Round outside of Lelouch's clutches.

The first EU officer looks rather concerned.

"Perhaps we should discuss the matter."

"There is nothing to discuss Maurice. I will hand this Australian scumbag over personally and the rest of you go free."

"Before I agree to your terms, I would like to know who I am taking prisoner" Kallen inquires

"I am Salazar Gluten, former Knight of Twelve and this is the current president of Australia," Salazar says a bit annoyed that Kallen does not recognize him. Even as a late addition to the KOR, she should have some idea who he is.

"Very well, you will have to do. I also want the men who are actually responsible for the launching of the FLEIA missiles."

"The scientists have been disposed of," Maurice replies," The person who launched the missiles is the Australian president. The ninja lady can attest to that. If the base was not destroyed, there may be video evidence of what occurred."

"Ninja lady, you must mean Sayoko. Jeremiah was on the way there," Kallen mumbles, "Marika, make preparations to bring the prisoners aboard. Contact Lelouch. He will know what to do."

Within thirty minutes Kallen has her prisoners and is once again moving eastward.

"What should we do know?" Kallen asks.

"Our original target was Adelaide," Marika states.

"Yes, but the Glinda Knights should be able to handle that. " Kallen looks at her situational map. "Let's see Cornelia in Brisbane, Gino and Anya in Sydney. Lelouch is in Canberra. Melbourne is too far target."

"We have just received word from Lord Gottwald that Alice Springs is no more. They evacuated the Australian soldiers and captured the EU scientists," Marika comments.

"We will go north to Darwin. The final active Australian force is to the north. Let's be there to finish them off."

Of course that is where Naoto is, but the others do not have to know that.

Despite the initial surprise of Sora and Urabe's attack, Admiral Wood is able gather his forces for a counter attack.

"Admiral, the Britannian airships are rising out of our firing range."

"Damn! Those cowards!"

Sora is observing as her knightmares battle the Australian units. Although they had the element of surprise the enemy quickly recovers. Contrary to the initial intelligence the Australian forces do not scatter around New Guinea instead they gather here in an attempt to crush the twins' small aerial force. The enemy knightmares wisely stay near their battleships forcing Sora to keep hers there as well. This negates her ability to bomb the battleships with her airships.

"Have we made contact with the New Guinea force yet?" Sora inquires.

"Not yet Lady Cummins. We have their fleet in sight but the enemy is numerous to the south. They may be aware of our presence."

"We are heading south to unite with their fleet. That is our number one priority."

Sora has to be careful about what she says. Any mention of the vi Britannia twins and their future consorts in addition to the Jr. Academy cadets may be heard by the enemy.

"I have contacted Lord Urabe and the ship captains and informed them of your new orders."

Another minor issue would be the willingness of Sora and Urabe's force to secure the twins rather than fight Australians.

James Longstreet is sitting in his knightmare waiting instructions. There has been plenty of commotion for the past few hours. The Australian force is encircling them. To the west and north is the Australian sea fleet is gathering. To the south and east a sizeable mechanized force is coming towards them. Longstreet assumes that they do not simply head north towards Britannian territory because they want to serve as bait.

Suddenly several new units appear to the far north of their radar. Longstreet surmises that they must be a Britannian force coming from Asia, however the commanders are silent on the matter.

"When are we getting out there?"

"Are you eager Lieutenant Longstreet? As soon as the orders are given you will be allowed to get out there."

Longstreet looks around.. Most of the experienced pilots are aboard the other airships. Longstreet and the cadets are put on this one since it is the most secure. Several of the cadets are in the knightmare hangar. Despite being allowed to pilot earlier on the battle, they will not enter this battle.

"Open the hangar doors, I am going out there," Longstreet declares.

"Lieutenant, we don't have any orders,"

"Open the doors or I am blasting them."

The hangar doors begin to open.

"Why are you letting them go back out?" Emily asks.

""They're soldiers," Castor answers, "It is what they are trained to do. Besides I did not open the doors."

"Pollux?"

"We are no longer in control of our airship or fleet," Pollux responds.

"Who could control all these airships and knightmares," Miranda questions, "Look all the drone knightmares are going out there."

"There is the possibility that it is little James still has control, but more likely it is someone else."

Admirals Fujitora and Sanderson are looking down at the Australian fleet. As the co-commanders of Sora and Urabe's airship fleet, they are responsible for containing the enemy fleet. The both agree with Sora's assessment that there is no honor is simply bombarding the Australians from high above.

"Good day gentleman," Lelouch says as he appears on the screen of the airship's bridge.

"Your Majesty!" both admirals exclaim as the crew quickly bows.

"I will be taking over from here. Let's just move your airships. Can't have them getting in the way of the fun."

The airships begin moving away from the shore.

"Lady Cummins, the fleet is moving away from the shore."

"Who gave the order?" Sora inquires.

"It appears that His Majesty has taken control."

"Come on, concentrate. These assholes aren't a joke," Urabe comments.

Before Sora can answer, an energy blasts rips through the Australian knightmares.

"What the hell was that?" Urabe asks.

Sora quickly adjusts her monitors. "I think that is the Shen Hu. What are those other knightmares?"

"Hello little Sora!" Lelouch shouts, "and others."

"Your Majesty, I thought you were busy with other matters," Sora says warily.

"Me and Scooter crushed those silly Australians. Now I can devout my time to helping out here. My Titan Mk VII will beat these guys up."

"Titan Mk VII?"

"Enough talk, let's get to it," Urabe says.

Sora begins relay instructions to her knightmares. "We have a numbers advantage. Do not do anything foolish."

"Don't worry about it. I have this all under control," Lelouch proclaims. "I have top men working on it."

Sora looks as her monitors begin to go haywire.

"What the hell is going on?" Urabe asks. "What's all this shit filling the sky? Are those Kangaroos?"

"Get away from the enemy!" Sora yells, "Everyone get away from the enemy now. Just leave."

Admiral Wood has emptied his ships of all mechanized personnel. His fleet is low on missiles as they assist the land and air forces. At some point the expects the Britannian air fleet to bombard his ships.

"Admiral Wood, the enemy is moving west."

He looks at his maps. The Britannian air fleet is positioning itself to block any Australian retreat. The battle situation is even. One could even say the Australians are winning. He wonders about the move.

A cheer begins to rumble throughout the ship and can be heard on through the communication systems.

"Admiral, there are several reports of dozens of Kangaroos and Dingoes joining the battle from the south. It seems the situation back home is great if they can spare units."

Admiral Wood keeps staring at his monitors. He slumps in his chair when he realizes what is happening. The admiral becomes unresponsive as his fleet is torn apart by Britannian attacks.

James Longstreet is slumping in his knightmare floating near the twins' airship. The day has been long and tiring. As every Academy student knows the Emperor has long used remote controlled enemy knightmares to disorient them. So he was not entirely surprised when enemy knightmares show up and begin attacking their supposed allies.

"Lieutenant Longstreet, your presence is requested by Lady Cummins aboard her airship."

The battle is winding down as Britannian forces track down what is left of the enemy. A few are able to slip away. In the distance he see a some smaller Australian ships heading home.

Longstreet flies his knightmare into the airship. It is much bigger than the one belonging to the twins. He is not surprised at the interior since the twins attempt to imitate Sora Cummins. The airship is little more than a floating knightmare hangar. In the center of the airship is a structure containing the command center and living quarters. The rest of it is adapted for the maximum capacity of knightmares and air transports.

A small drone lands on his knightmare and guides it to the repair dock. The technicians seem quite excited to be working on Longstreet's knightmare. Longstreet can see the other technicians look at his knightmare in a mix of awe and jealousy.

Sora appears on the monitor.

"To all available pilots. His Majesty has personally asked us to chase down and destroy the Australian invasion force. We have also been tasked with occupying the city of Darwin as the final piece of His Majesty's plan," Sora pauses for a moment, " ALL HAIL LELOUCH! ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!"

Longstreet can hear slight cheers from the hangar. One of the technicians opens the hatch.

"Lieutenant, would you like something to eat or drink?"

Longstreet raises a bottle. "I have something provided by top scientists."

"Very well. You should rest. The drone will guide you out when the battle begins."

Longstreet nods and begins looking through his battle logs. Whatever is left of the enemy will soon be destroyed. He wonders about other Australian forces. Did they ever stood a chance.

Captain Seymour is leading what is left of the Australian fleet back to Darwin. There are a few knightmares in the air, however it is only because there is little trust in them. The pilots have to be confirmed. He is a little surprised Britannian forces do not pursue them. He supposes that they are gathering for an invasion.

The state of the docks in Darwin puts the morale of the Australians troops drop even lower. Not that it could possibly go any lower. Seymour wonders if a Britannian force slipped past them and attacked Darwin.

"Well I guess it doesn't matter," Seymour says more to himself than others. "We should probably head further south. At least until our fuel runs out."

The alarms begin to sound.

"What are we facing? How is the enemy's number?" Seymour asks disorientated.

"Captain, there is only one."

"Only one?" Seymour says befuddled. "Put it on the monitor."

On the monitor appears a single crimson knightmare with a gold claw on its right hand. In its left hand is small blade. Behind it two other knightmares appear, both white.

"Captain, the lead knightmare appears to be the Guinevere Avalon. The others are the Shinigami and the Valkyrie."

"So the famous Red Death is here. Along with it those who will take us to the underworld."

The Captain begins to laugh and cry at the same time as the knightmares move forward.

"We have orders from Lelouch," Kallen states, "No one gets out alive."

Kallen charges her radiation wave and fires it at the closest ship.

Author's note: Well it has been over a year since I last updated. This story has always been a half-hearted effort for me. Rise of the Black Prince was what I wanted to write. Having finished that I wanted to write something in the far future relating to that universe. This story is about setting up the next one. To get where I want to be, certain things have to be accomplished. One is already done. The others will happen soon. The final piece will be at the end. I cannot promise another chapter soon, but it will come.

Australia's population and military are much higher than in the real world. The population is about double so around 50 million. I used China and the US as templates for the military. Australians total military strength in all services would be around 2 million. Obviously Britannia's is much higher with a population base that includes the entire Western Hemisphere and most of Asia.

Lelouch's powersuit was not just damaged by the EMP but also by jumping through the blaze luminous. In case you have forgotten Lelouch is eternally 16 so he has to wear cosmetics to make himself look older.

Sora and Urabe are not as ruthless as Anya and Gino. This is why they don't simply bomb the Australian fleet into submission. There are also nearby civilians to consider. There is not time to evacuate them. New Guinea has mostly been left alone except for a few Britannian bases and settlements.
