I began to struggle. "Please Shadow, this is not like you, PLEASE stop this!"

Shadow laughed and looked at me with mock pity. "Awwww but Sonic, this is just soooo much fun. And actually-" He leaned in close and whispered to my ear. "I've wanted this for a very long time. Now be a good little hedgehog and let it happen."

I began to struggle again, fighting at my restraints the best way I could. "This is wrong. DON'T PUT THAT NASTY THING IN ME AGAIN!" I hollered. And kneed him in the ribs. He grabbed that spot in pain and doubled over for a moment.

I almost felt bad for him. Even though he was sick in the head, he was still kind of a friend. But I refuse to be lenient with this, especially with what he's trying to do to me right now.

He never acted like this, and I don't understand why. He's never even giving a hint of feeling this way. But then again there are a lot of things about him that I don't know about. And this obviously was one of them.

"Shadow, stop." I moved my head away as he tries to insert the ball gag into my mouth once more.

"Shadow," he stopped, for my voice was so calm, so collective, and so pleading. It probably sounded extremely unnatural and out of place. I looked at him, keeping any and all traces of emotion other than caring out of my voice.

"At least tell me why you're doing this. As your friend I deserve that much." We looked at each other in deafening silence. And he looked into my eyes, and I saw traces of the old Shadow. The one who although was a pain in my ass (no pun intended), was a good friend, an awesome ally, and great adversary. I saw the door to freedom opening, as the recognition grew. But just as he blinked the door immediately shut, as his cold piercing eyes returned. Probing my body with their gaze, making me want to hide, under or behind anything. But just to hide.

"Honestly Sonic, no you don't." He sneered. "Because I don't think you're in any position to demand anything from anyone." He laughed then whispered in my ear.

"You will never escape from this place. I will use you until you expire. So in other words…." He sat up and looked me dead in the face with the most terrifying expression.

" You will DIE here."
