Lily woke up in cold sweats, sitting bolt upright and scanning Scorpius' dimly lit bedroom in a state of panic. "It was just a dream," she gasped, her breathing loud and fast as she tried to calm herself down. "It was just a dream." Bringing up her knees, she hugged her legs tightly and rocked back and forth, fighting back the tears in her eyes. Eventually they fell silently down her cheeks, just as she had regained some control on her breathing. "He wasn't really here," she told herself, sighing back onto the pillows behind her, still curled up in a little ball.
At that moment, the bedroom door swung open and Scorpius walked into his room, his bare arms shiny with sweat. "Morning beautiful," he said softly, throwing the towel he had around his shoulders into his laundry hamper. By the looks of him, he had just been working out or something like that.
All Lily managed in response was a teary sniff, which caught Scorpius' attention.
"What's wrong Lil?" he asked concerned, the bed immediately dipping as his arms woven around Lily's small body and turned her over to face him. "Why are you crying?"
"I didn't want you to see me crying," she huffed, making the tears fall harder. "I used to be strong and now look at me, one bad dream and I'm reduced to a soggy mess." She buried her face in his chest, despite the strong smell of perspiration, and cursed under her breath as she continued to sob.
Scorpius just laid next to her, soothing her softly with patterns along her spine. "You are strong baby. Look at how brave you've been and how far you've come," he told her, his breath hot on her ear as he whispered the words. "I love you so much Lil and a few tears aren't going to change that."
Pulling away, she looked up at him and kissed his chin, the closest thing she could reach. "I love you too Scorpius," she told him, reaching up to wipe the wetness off her cheeks. "And I'm sorry for crying so much recently."
"I'm sorry I wasn't here when you woke up. I thought I had time to get a workout in but evidently not," he explained in his soft voice, his hand stroking her face and catching the last few tears. "We'll get through this Lily. You don't have to face anything alone anymore."
"I know," she murmured, pulling his chin down so she could brush her lips against his. "Shall we start the morning off again?"
"That sounds like a good idea," he replied, kissing her again before she rolled over and pulled the duvet up to her chin.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, making sure she felt calmer and her little panic attack was past her. Then she rolled back over, stretched out her body to its full length and opened her eyes slowly, seeing Scorpius do the same. She smiled sweetly and leaned over to kiss him on his nose. "Good morning," she said through a yawn, rolling further so her torso was lounging across his chest and she could stroke the stubble around his jaw.
"Hey there beautiful," he sighed happily, kissing her finger as it grazed his lips. "Have I mentioned that I love waking up next to you?"
"I think this is the first time," she joked, moving her hand to run through his messy blonde hair. Taking a deep breath in, she snuggled closer and winced at the lingering smell of sweat. "I could easily get used to it, although I may have an issue with that sweaty smell."
Scorpius laughed, wrapping his arms around her which only overwhelmed her with the smell. "Are you saying I smell?" he asked, deliberately putting his armpits near her face.
"Right now, yes!" Lily gasped, trying to roll out of his grip to the other side of the bed. The disgusting smell was overpowering, lingering in Lily's nose even once she had rolled out of his grip. "You are so disgusting," she exclaimed, pushing the hair out of her face so she could look over at Scorpius.
He was propped up on his elbow looking devilishly handsome with a smirk painted across his lips. "And you are beautiful," he replied, his voice low and husky. "Now what do you want to do today?"
Lily gave him a smirk of her own, grabbing the nearest pillow and bunching it up under her chin. "I'm pretty sure you promised me a day of doing nothing, Mr Malfoy," she told him coyly, biting her bottom lip lightly.
"We have your family meal at the Burrow this evening," Scorpius started, and Lily's face quickly dropped. She'd have to face her whole family and all of them were bound to have questions. Scorpius quickly picked up on her anxiety and reached across the bed to take her hand. "But that's this evening. How about we drag the covers downstairs and just spend the day on the sofa?" His soothing touch on the back of her hand calmed her considerably.
Blowing out a little breath, Lily smiled up at him and squeezed his hand. "Only if you take a shower first."
###
"Morning!" Hugo called out as he opened the door to the shop with a jingle of his keys.
Ariana popped out of one of the fitting rooms, her red lipstick poised in her hand. "Hey Hugh," she said with a smile before her eyes settled on the big bouquet of red roses in his arms. "Aw Hugo, did I make you bat for the other team?"
"Unfortunately for ladies everywhere, I'm still Team Penis, but you will be my first girlfriend as soon as the tables turn," he replied with a wink, dropping his keys and bag on the counter. "These are for you though." He moved around the shoe display and handed the flowers to Ariana.
"They are beautiful," Ariana sighed, burying her nose in them and breathing in the soft rosy scent. "Who are they from?"
Hugo frowned at her and passed her the card that was propped up against them on the shop's doorstep. "Do you really need to ask babe?" he asked sarcastically. "I'll get some water for the flowers and then you can explain what is going on between Al and you." He shot her a scowl and then left her to read the card while he went out the back and up to Ariana's little apartment above the shop.
Five minutes later he came back onto the shop floor, levitating a tray of tea and carrying a case for the flowers. "I thought the flowers would stop now that I've agreed to go on a date with him," Arian said as Hugo set the tray and vase down on the counter.
"Oh so you did agree?" he asked curiously. "You didn't say much when you came back downstairs."
"Nothing happened Weasley if that's what you are insinuating," Ariana said with a roll of her eyes as she went about arranging the roses in the vases. "We just talked: I asked him why he ended it and why he was so eager to go out on a date with me."
Hugo sipped his tea and made a disgusted face. It needed more sugar. "That doesn't explain why you suddenly said yes to him. He's been pestering you for weeks," he replied, stirring a couple more sugars into his tea. "This is all a bit out of the blue."
Ariana moved the roses to the shelf on the back wall behind the counter and then took her tea from Hugo. "I had to give him another chance. Seeing Lily and Scorpius so happy together despite everything they've been through: I want that happiness, I deserve that happiness. Albus might not be perfect but he used to make me happy. Maybe he can make me happy again."
"I didn't realise you were sad to begin with," he sighed, leaning against the counter.
Ariana cupped her mug and smiled softly at Hugo, moving away from him towards the door. "I'm not sad necessarily. I just feel a little lonely sometimes. You have Kaleb, Lily has Scorpius and even Dom has her guy if you can even call them a couple. I want what you all have." She unlocked the door with a tap of her wand and propped it open, letting the cool summer breeze in.
Hugo finished the last of his tea and stowed the tray and mug under the counter. "He'll treat you right this time Ari. We'll make sure of it," he promised, moving around to give her a hug. "I wonder what he's got planned."
She shrugged nonchalant. "I'll find out soon enough."
###
Pulling the tie from around his neck, Albus let out a long breath and rubbed his fingers around his eyes. He was exhausted. One of his favourite chefs he met during his travels of France had invited him back to take a class and although he had enjoyed being in such a big kitchen, the travelling had made him absolutely exhausted. However he had managed to organise the details for his date with Ariana so there was a silver lining.
With the loudest of groans, Albus dragged his tired self over to the kitchen, searching the cupboard for a perk-me-up potion. Finding one of the little blue bottles tucked behind the spaghetti, he downed it in one and headed upstairs for a quick shower before he had to get ready to head over to the Burrow for dinner.
As much as he wanted to just forget the dinner and just go straight to bed, he had to go. For Lily. She was going to have to confront the whole family, who are all going to want to probe her with questions. Plus Dominique was coming home and she was probably going to tip her cauldron and Apparate straight to Azkaban to kick Franklin in the balls. Damn it, Albus would join her.
After a quick shower, he got changed into some jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt, before heading downstairs in search for his boots. In the kitchen, Lily and Scorpius were hovering around the island with cups of tea in their hands. "Grandma is going to kill you if you turn up for dinner dressed like that," he said with a nod of his head at the pair of them in their pyjamas.
"I had to get her away from the television so we went and sat down on the beach for a little bit," Scorpius answered with a nudge in Lily's ribs. "We're gonna get cleaned up and head over to the Burrow soon."
Lily pecked Scorpius' cheek briefly before picking up her mug and wand. "You better not have used all the hot water," she warned him teasingly, aiming her wand haphazardly at him. With a small laugh, she headed past Albus and up the stairs.
"How was France?" Scorpius asked, rummaging in the cupboard and pulling out a protein bar. "Did you enjoy the class?"
Albus grabbed his boots and hopped up on one of the stool opposite his best friend. "The class was awesome; I'm definitely making some changes to the menu," he said, thinking about the sauce he had made that day that would go so much better with one of his chicken starters. "I managed to sort some other things out as well. How long has my dad given you off?"
"I'm not sure. I think a week but that's all dependent on Lily. She doesn't want to be out of training for that long," he said as he finished off his tea and dropped the mug into the sink. "Why do you ask?"
"What if I had an idea that would take her mind off of all of this?" Albus hinted at, pulling his boots on and allowing the laces to tie themselves.
Scorpius leaned in with a smirk on his face. "Go on."
###
"I don't have to dress up for this, right?" Scorpius asked, rummaging through his wardrobe. "I mean I know it's just like every other meal at the Burrow we've gone to but this one feels different, like I need to try."
Lily leaned back at Scorpius' desk, brushing her hair as it Charmed itself dry. "It's because everyone is going to be staring at us and asking questions and giving us the third degree," she explained, feeling the knot in her stomach twist with anxiety. It was hard enough to face her family once news had broken out, but she knew that it was going to be ten times worse – especially with Dominique coming back from her holiday. "It's going to be horrible."
Running a hand through his wet hair, Scorpius tightened the towel around his waist and walked towards her, crouching down by her feet. "We can ditch the dinner if you want, go down to the pier and eat doughnuts until we throw up." His hands found hers and squeezed them tightly.
"And face the wrath of my mum and grandma? I don't think so babe." She leaned forward and pressed her forehead to his, grey eyes blurring in front of her. "I have to face this because it's only going to get worse if this goes to trial."
His lips brushed hers softly for a brief moment. "Baby, you don't have to do this. You don't have to do any of this by yourself. I will always be with you."
Lily let go of his hands and reached up to cradle his face. "And that's why I love you," she murmured, pulling him closer so she could kiss him short and swift. "Now go and get dressed, we don't want to be late." She kissed him once more and let his face go, picking her brush back up and finishing her hair.
Meanwhile Scorpius moved back to his wardrobe and began riffling through his clothes, eventually pulling out a grey long sleeved top that as he pulled over his body, got Lily all excited under her skin. Then he hid behind the wardrobe door and emerged in denim shorts seconds later. "Are you getting a good enough look, Miss Potter?" he laughed to himself as he tossed his towel into his hamper.
Finished with her hair, Lily jumped to her feet and moved towards the long mirror in his room. "The beaches aren't the only views I love in Brighton," she replied with a smirk as she checked herself over. She smoothed her denim skirt down and when Scorpius to wrap his arms around her from behind, she laughed at the pair of them. "We're wearing the exact same outfits Scorpius!" The pair of them were wearing grey t-shirts and denim bottoms.
"I can change!" Scorpius replied, bending down to kiss her neck gently.
Lily sighed and turned in his arms. "We've not got enough time," she said, running a hand down his cheekbone. "Mum wanted us there technically two minutes ago."
"Let me grab some shoes then," Scorpius retorted. He kissed the top of her head and then let her go, finding some socks and slipping them on, before tugging his Converse on. Then he met Lily by the door and allowed her to pull him down the stairs to the fireplace. "Lil, calm down! We're not that late!"
She laughed dryly and rolled her eyes as she lured him into the small fireplace, a handful of Floo powder already falling slowly from her hand. "You're just lucky my family love you so much," she told him with a smirk on her lips. "The Burrow!"
Green flames licked harmlessly at Lily as she held on to Scorpius. At the other end, she let Scorpius pull her out, the pair of them stumbling into the living room of the Burrow. "That was smooth!" she mumbled, dusting herself off.
"I could have Apparated us here," he replied, running his fingers through her hair. "But you were in such a rush to get here." He leaned down and kissed her lips swiftly, leaving them brushing against hers.
Lily giggled and fell into his chest, taking a deep breath in of his aftershave as she wrapped her arms around his waist. "The sooner we get here and get this over with, the sooner we can go back to bed and resume our previous activities of doing nothing," she told him, looking up to see his grey eyes shining at hers.
"Actually, we won't be doing nothing," he joked, his hand cupping her cheek softly. "I have a surprise for you." Then he let her go, holding onto her hand only as he pulled her towards the garden, where she knew most of the family already were.
Trying to stop him from moving her forward, she dug her feet into the ground. "You can't just drop that bombshell and then expect me to say nothing," she cried, feeling the pout on her lips form. "What's the surprise?"
He pulled her into his side and kissed the top of her head. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise. Now let's go and eat some food. You'll find the rest out soon enough," he said teasingly, pulling Lily out the front door and into the garden of noise.
"LILY!" Everyone cried, getting to their feet to hug her. Grandma made it first, folding Lily up in her arms. "Oh my Lily flower!" She fussed like Lily knew she would, combing her hands through her hair and holding her head up as if the answers to all her questions were written on her face. Lily wished they were so she wouldn't have to continually relive it all. "Are you ok flower?"
"Grandma, I'm fine," she replied, already sensing that this wouldn't be the last time she told everyone that this evening. "Just really hungry, so what's cooking?" Lily stepped of her grandmother's hold, bumping into Scorpius's front. His hand wrapped around her waist casually, squeezing her side reassuringly.
The mention of food grabbed everyone's attention. "I'll get dinner on the table now," Grandma exclaimed frantically, wiping her hands on her apron and heading back inside.
Everyone one else was left to smother Lily, taking it in turns to hug her and ask how she was. Lily must have said she was fine about twenty times but that didn't stop them from looking at her like she was going to break at any moment. Through it all, Scorpius was beside her, talking to her dad or Hugo or Albus. He was always touching her though, always letting her know that she wasn't alone. It helped comfort her nerves.
There were absences in the family that Lily couldn't help but notice. James and Alicia hadn't shown up and when Lily asked Teddy, he said that they had taken Nadene away for a couple of days – apparently Alicia wasn't dealing well with the fact her nearly sister-in-law had accused her brother of rape and thrown him in Azkaban. Fred had taken a holiday too with his girlfriend and Molly wasn't coming because she had work to do. Dominique still wasn't back with her family yet but they were said to arrive any minute now. Rose and Max were on holiday, probably secretly planning their wedding. Little Lucy was missing too. She was staying with Aunt Audrey in Manchester for the week. There were still enough family for Lily to feel overwhelmed.
"Food's up!" Hugo shouted, diverting the attention from Lily to the table were floating plates were gathering. "Get it while it's hot!"
"Aren't we waiting for Vic and the kids?" Teddy asked, checking his watch. Victoire had gone to France and taken Dora and Theodore so they could meet the French side of their family. Teddy had to stay behind because of a big case.
Grandma came out of the house with the last of the plates for the long table. "Their Portkey should have gotten in by now. They're probably just sorting out their luggage. Everyone sit themselves down please!" Everyone was quick to find a seat, Lily finding herself wedged between her boyfriend and her brother.
"How's it been without the kids?" Lily asked Teddy next to her, as plates started to be shuffled around and conversations overlapped each other. "I bet it's been nice to have a good night's sleep," she added with a little laugh and gave him a nudge in the ribs.
Teddy rolled his eyes and his hair changed colour to platinum blonde, giving away what he was thinking about – or better yet who. "I can't say I've missed the late night feeds, but I've definitely missed my girls and little Theo. I hate the house being so quiet, it's impossible to sleep in."
"We'll remind you of that when you next need to down a jug of coffee just to get through the day," Scorpius joked, passing Lily a tray of vegetables.
At that moment, Dominique came running out of the house. "Where's Lily?" she asked, her eyes frantic with worry and panic. Slowly, Lily got up at her space just as Dominique's eyes landed on her. Running around the table, Dominique headed straight into Lily and the two of them collided into a mess of a hug. "The papers were telling the truth?" she asked questioningly.
"Yes," Lily sighed, her voice full of unwanted sadness. "I'm so sorry Dom. I wanted to tell you everything but I didn't think anyone would believe me." Burying her face into her cousin's shoulder, she bit down on her bottom lip to stop the tears and just held on tighter.
Dominique squeezed her. "You have nothing to apologise for. I'm the one that's sorry: for not being there for you these past few days, for not being there for you when this all happened, for being wrapped up in my own world to care about anyone else." Lily tried to pull back so she could stop her cousin, but Dominique held on quickly. "I thought I knew what I was doing when Phoebe died but I was wrong. If I had let you all in, maybe this wouldn't have happened."
"It's not your fault Dom! I could have told someone, I could have told anyone," Lily retorted, spotting Scorpius looking at her with sympathy written all over his face. She smiled weakly and looked at the ground. "I have you now and that's all that matters to me. I can't change what happened back then and neither can you. So stop worrying about what you could have done and focus on what you can do – like you can sit down and tell me all about France."
Dominique pulled back and flipped her blonde hair over her shoulders. "At least I can do that," she said, turning to the dinner. "Move up Scorpius!"
"Actually can I sit next to him?" Lily asked sheepishly, twisting her fingers around each other. "We're kind of back together."
A Malfoy-worthy smirk tickled Dominique's lips. "You don't waste any time, do you Malfoy!" she exclaimed, ruffing up his hair and moving around to take Teddy seat, seeing as he was probably inside helping Victoire with the kids.
"I know a good thing when I see it and this time I'm not letting her go," he answered, pulling Lily down to sit next to him.
Lily rolled her eyes and leaned into his shoulder. "He's definitely got a snake's grip," she joked, biting her lip softly. "Once a Slytherin, always a Slytherin."
"And you're just as stubborn as a lion so no guesses for what House you were in." He dotted a kiss on her nose and went back to plating up dinner, putting some on Lily's plate while she engrossed herself into conversation with Dominique.
"So how was France?"
Dominique smiled excitedly and looked over at Hugo on the other side of the table as he leaned in to listen. "The first part of France was dead as hell. We basically spent ten days playing Snap that doesn't explode because Grand-mère has a heart condition. But then Roxy sent us a letter and turns out she was in Paris for a couple of days so me, Louis and Vic took the kids to go and see her. She's doing really well, selling loads of photographs and travelling. Apparently some Muggle publishing group wants her to write a guide to travelling the world."
"Holy Hippogriff, that's insane!" Hugo exclaimed from across the table, already shoving food into her mouth. "Rose is going to be so pissed. She wanted to be the first one to publish a book."
"Rox said she'd be back in the country in a week," Dominique added, taking the plate Scorpius offered her from across Lily. "I think we should all go out for a night out on the town."
Lily rolled her eyes at how much her cousin hadn't really changed over the years – Dominique was still always looking for an excuse to party. "I guess we could go out in London for a night," she said, squeezing Scorpius' leg to tell him if she was suffering through the night then so was he. "It would be nice to have a visit from Roxy, it's been so long."
"What about Jesse? Did you hear from him at all while you were away?" Hugo asked, leaning forward in his seat. Next to him, Albus and Kaleb did the same thing.
Her whole demeanour changed, her face lighting up, her back becoming straighter. All the bad things in the world could be said about Jesse but it was hard not to see how happy he made Dominique. Even the mere mention of him had an effect on her. "We've been sending each other letters and he was going to try and come out to France at some point, but something came up. I'm seeing him tomorrow though. We're spending the evening together."
"It's pretty serious then?" Albus asked, well and truly sucked into the conversation like the rest of them. "Jesse was never the commitment type when we were at school."
Dominique smiled to herself, piling food onto her plate. "Yeah I'd say we're pretty serious. We've actually been thinking about moving in together but I'm not too sure yet."
"Kaleb is literally THE most disgusting guy to live with," Hugo joked, immediately throwing his arms around Kaleb and hugging him tightly. Lily saw in the corner of her vision Albus and Scorpius nodding at what her cousin was saying. "Seriously Dom, I love him to pieces but you have to bribe him with sex just to get him to clean a dish!"
"HUGO WEASLEY!" Aunt Hermione cried in utter shock from the other end of the table.
Quickly Hugo's cheeks turned the same colour as his hair as he apologised swiftly and spoke in a much quieter voice. "All cleaning aside though, I love falling asleep with his face being the last I see and then the first when I wake up. It means that I always wake up in a good mood with a smile on my face."
"That's not what Ariana's told me!" Lily injected into the conversation, instantly gaining Albus' undivided attention. "I've heard you're quite the grump when you help Ari open the store." Their part of the table started laughing at Hugo, who just stuck his middle finger at Lily and continued with his dinner.
"I don't not want to move in with Jesse because he's messy," Dominique explained once the laughter had subsided. "If I say yes to moving in with him, then it's officially a thing. In my head, it's still a fling and I don't know how to transition from one way to thinking to the other."
Scorpius pushed Lily's plate closer to her, telling her to start eating which she did. Grandma Weasley makes an amazing roast dinner. "Maybe you should give it a trial period. Say you'll do it for a week or two and then if you realise you're not at that stage of the relationship, you can go back to your parents or get your own place," he said helpfully, letting Lily lean on his shoulder as she slowly started to eat. The nerves were still in her body and left her feeling slightly sick.
"Maybe," Dominique said with a shrug. "I'll talk about it with him tomorrow."
After that, the conversation quickly turned to Quidditch and from then on, it was lost. The nerves Lily had once felt, just seemed to fade into the background. The people who were missing made her sad – and slightly anxious that she would have to go over it with them all too. Especially James and Alicia. Because of her, she had put the pair of them in a horrible situation, choosing between family and family.
As she sat at the dinner table, leaning on Scorpius with her hand in his lap, she couldn't help but wonder if she'd done the right thing. She had known the Longbottoms since she was born. Neville was her godfather, Alicia was practically her sister in law, and even Sebastian was considered one of her best friends. If she hadn't told Scorpius or Law Enforcement, their family wouldn't be broken and James wouldn't have to take his girlfriend and daughter to a different country to escape the madness his sister had created.
"What's wrong baby?" Scorpius whispered into her ear softly when the attention wasn't on the pair of them.
Lily looked up at him and sighed, nibbling on her bottom lip nervously. "I feel like I've broken a family. James would be here with Alice and Nadene if I hadn't opened my mouth. I mean I accused her brother of rape, how is she ever going to forgive me?"
He cupped her face, sensing she was going to lose control if she carried on the way she was going. "This is not your fault and one day I'll make you see that. He brought this on himself Lil. You have nothing to apologise for and don't need to be forgiven because you've done nothing wrong."
Pursing her lips together, Lily nodded her head slowly and leaned forward to rest it on his chest. She closed her eyes and yawned – she'd done nothing for the majority of the day but she was still exhausted. "Scorpius can you take me home? I'm really tired and just want to have an early night."
"Of course," he murmured, giving the top of her head a little kiss. "Mine or yours tonight?"
"Mine," she muttered in response, the emotional weight of the day weighing down on her. "I really want to sleep in my own bed if that's ok."
Scorpius got up out of his seat and pulled Lily up with him. "It's fine with me baby! Go and tell your mum that we're heading over," he told her, letting Lily go.
She told her mum where she was going and gave her a hug, along with her grandmother and grandfather and every aunt at the dinner table. Then she gave Dominique a hug. "We have to get Ari and have girls' night." Hugo coughed loudly from the other side of the table. "You too Hugh!"
"Expect my owl," Dominique replied with a wink, kissing Lily's cheek sweetly.
When Lily looked at Scorpius, he took her hand and started leading her beyond the boundaries. After the fire at the Burrow, the whole place had been set up with enchantments including one to prevented Apparating, meaning they had to go outside the gate. "I didn't think you could handle the Floo Network this tired," Scorpius explained softly as he tucked her into his side.
"Normally I'd argue with you there but I'm too tired," Lily replied with a little laugh.
They moved through the old gate and took each other's hands, their fingers twisting together. Closing her eyes, Lily felt the pull of Disapparating and waiting for it to be over. When she felt her feet back on solid ground, she opened her eyes and looked at Scorpius, who was already working the enchantments on the house so they could go inside. He worked quickly and quietly and within ten seconds, he was pulling her inside.
"Will you tell me about my surprise?" she asked as they headed up the mountain of stairs. She knew he'd never tell, he relished in a good surprise, but there was always a chance he would slip up. "Just tell me where it is so I can wear the right clothes."
Scorpius laughed and shook his head to himself. "It's not even finalised yet so I'm not going to tell you anything until it's official. Just trust me Lily, you'll love it!" He pulled her into her room at the top of the house and captured her face in his big hands, lifting it so his lips could kiss hers with the briefest of kisses that set all of Lily's nerve endings tingling. "Now you get ready for bed while I get a glass of water from the Den, want one?"
Lily shook her head, still slightly dazed from the kiss, and watched him leave the room, heading straight to her wardrobe once he'd gone. She found one of James' old t-shirts that was a dress on her and quickly got out of her top and skirt, unbuckling her shoes as well. Then she headed into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wipe what little makeup she had on. When she walked back into her bedroom, Scorpius was taking his shorts off and climbing into her bed. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and joined him, letting his arms wrap her up and keep her warm.
"Wake me up when you go to work out, I want to come with you," Lily murmured, kissing the closest spot on his arm.
She knew he was frowning at her in shock, trying to figure out if she was joking or not. "You really want to work out with me?" he asked slowly.
"I need to keep up my fitness for when I go back to Quidditch," she explained, closing her eyes and snuggling further into him. "Besides this way I won't wake up in the morning without you."
"You're full of surprises Lily Potter," he muttered quietly, kissing the back of her neck a couple of times.
"Speaking of surprises…"
"Go to sleep Lily!"
Author's Note: Hello my lovelies! And a happy birthday to myself. I'm 20 on Thursday and I'm not looking forward to it. I want to hold onto my teenage years for as long as possible. I'm in the middle of my exam revision at the moment but I managed to squeeze this one out when I was severely procrastinating.
I'm a bit stuck with this story. I have a lot of drama planned for Lily's adulthood but I don't know if I should just skip to that or if you want me to keep going and explain Franklin more. Obviously if I skipped ahead, Franklin would be explained and closed. I want to know from you guys what you want because I've lost a bit of vision for this story. Lily's secret has been told and that's the story I wanted to tell but there's still Franklin and Lestrange and other unanswered questions. Do you want me to keep going?
Leave me a review. I'd really like to hear from you all.
Thankyou xo
