Chapter 44

POV - Appule

We froze.

Right in mid spar… Piccolo and I's attacks halted the nanosecond we felt him.

"Looks like today's the day… yet another prophecy of the future to come true." Evak spoke, as his free for all spar with Corser and Denal also reached a stop.

"King Cold," I muttered with complete and utter contempt. "So it's true… I wonder how he found us out here on Earth," I wondered.

"Good question." Denal chimed.

"What does it matter? He's here now!" Piccolo growled.

Corser eyed our spaceship thoughtfully. "Perhaps he has means of tracking it?" He suggested, pointing at the once Arcosian psycolord's saucer.

"Perhaps," I mused. "Well, either way we're gonna have to kill him so let's move out."

"Of course sire. You heard him men! Last chance to swap armor if you choose..." Evak offered, directed at the two of the group that are below him.

"I'm good."

"As am I."

"Then let's get on with it," Piccolo grumbled.

POV - Yamcha

The coffee sprayed out of my mouth like the water of a fire hose.

"Yamcha! What the hell!"

I blinked a couple times, realizing what I had done. I stared at my girlfriend, soaked in the hot and steamy liquid that had just been on its way to my stomach. Normally I'd be scared of my girlfriend after something like this… but this wasn't a normal day. Someone with an outrageous power level was approaching the planet and would land any minute.

Bulma was about to bitch me out big time but I leapt into the air and tried to pinpoint where Cold was going to land.

"Hey! If you think you can just fly off-"

"Sorry babe! No time to explain!Earth'sintroubleIgottago!" stating it so quickly it would take Bulma some time to break down what had just been said.

POV - Tien

"Woah do you feel that?" Chiaotzu asked.

I jetted into the sky discarding my mountain clothes and flew towards where I felt the incredible power.

Tien!? Chiaotzu called telepathically.

Sorry Chiaotzu, but that's gotta be King Cold, and there's no way I'm letting you tag along for this one.

Can't you sit this one out? They've got Appule… and Goku and Piccolo.

No! They need me! I can't think about myself and screw all of my friends like that!

Okay… be careful though.

I will.

POV - Goku

"Please dad! She doesn't have to know!" He pleaded.

"NO!" I answered sternly. "You know what your mother said!"

"But it's crazy dad!" Gohan whined. "You guys might need me! And I'd be happy just to get out of the house!"

"Sorry Gohan but I-"

"No! It's not fair! She won't even let me go outside! The best thing I get is sticking my head out the window like a dog!"

"Yeah but she loves ya… and if you died again I think she'd have a heart attack!"

"B-But-"

"No buts. The world isn't going to protect itself ya know," I stated, giving him a quick hug and taking off to the skies.

"Be careful daddy!"

POV - Vesaun

"Everyone prepared?"

The six other mercs gave a serious nod, this would be (With the exception of Kershall) their first taste of combat against a foe like Cold… and the first time the stakes were this high for them. Not only were the stakes high for Earth, but as every Genocilian would repeatedly remind himself… so was Genocilia itself. For if they failed today, then the Earth was doomed, they were all dead, and no one would destroy the Scanlon Empire and revive Genocilia.

I turned to the humans present. Krillin, who was helping train the other humans while the Arbiter healed up was standing stoic. Hercule, CC, Cason and Yajirobe on the other hand seemed quite discouraged.

"Stand tall! For this will be our moment of triumph! If not, then we are all fucked! So gather your emotions, gather your pride and make the sacrifice that you must make. Today, we fight to protect two worlds!"

My attempt to fire them up worked a little, moreso on the Genocilians than the humans, but I would take what I could get.

"Planning on leaving without someone?" A voice called from behind, feigning disappointment.

"Arbiter?" I muttered in surprise.

"That iswhat they call me…" He emerged from the hallways fully suited up in his cerulean armor as well as his boots and other minor equipments he chose to wear in a fight.

"You intend to fight sir? You still haven't fully recovered yet…" Vasile stated concerned.

"Yeah, but I think we all know how much we need everyone we can get…" Barasi argued.

"I will fight! It's not up for discussion… now if all are ready I wish to go now… I wouldn't want to be late on the action."

I noticed the Arbiter was less hesitant to speak, usually if he said that much he was probably yelling about something. Perhaps he was making an effort on behalf of his latest little "chat" with Appule…

POV - King Cold

"So this is Earth…" I stated in a bored tone.

I had been quite annoyed with my life lately. My son had been murdered by some daring little scoundrel that was once among our own ranks. I struggled to discover the truth, and to trace the poor fool back to this backwater rock. I would have preferred to simply blow the planet up from afar… unlike my sons I didn't enjoy doing things myself like in my youth. But this was special… this time I was after the man that killed my son! I had to see him die with my own eyes… to ensure the threat was eliminated, to ensure my revenge, and to ensure he was on the planet that I could have foolishly blown up and leaving it at that.

No.

I wasn't a fool like my son… and I would not allow myself to be careless or slip up on this trip… I would find this plebian Yavinian, and I would kill him… then I could destroy this whole solar system in honor of Frieza!

"Sire, someone's approaching!" One of the weak henchmen named something I had not bothered to learn shouted, pointing at the sky.

Sure enough, someone was soaring through the clouds directly at us.

"Ah it would appear we have a guest…" I stated somewhat interested, gesturing for the men to stand down… for now.

The humanoid creature landed about twenty yards away. He was a bald, tricloptic, and tall (on human standards) man. His muscular frame was evident by the fact he was shirtless at the moment, with green pants and some wrist guards matching in color. This human looked very serious, as if he already knew who was standing before him.

"Power level one hundred!? HAHAHAHA!" All of my underlings bursted up laughing and I too enjoyed a small chuckle.

All laughter dissipated when he vanished. Everyone looked around but couldn't track his movements save for I and my fellow Arcosian accomplices.

The human reappeared in the same spot… and suddenly six of my henchmen dropped dead. The present Arcosians laughed at the bumbling idiocy of the shocked and fear stricken henchmen among us.

The triclops' expression still hadn't changed. "My my, you're quite the mysterious one aren't you? One hundred power level? I think not."

The other warrior stared into my eyes cold and silently.

I chuckled to myself. "Well he's not much for words…"

Those with scouters were then brought to attention of several approaching power levels, high ones on the standard of the non Arcosians.

The shirtless triclop looked up and smirked… the first change in his expression that entire time. Who in the devil is this guy? I wondered.

This group was intriguing to say the least. A green man with antennae and a long white cape with a turbine, accompanied by a group of men sporting PTO armor of multiple races. The Yavinian in particular made me cringe and I suddenly forgot about all the others.

He was purple, with a pattern of green spots wearing powder blue with a black base of armor. The others appeared to be following his lead… it had to be him.

They landed beside the other nuisance and said nothing. I glared at the Yavinian with distaste and clenched my fists.

POV - Tien

"Starting without us? I didn't know you were so anxious to get on with this Tien," Appule chuckled, gesturing the bodies.

"I needed to prove a point… I may not like killing anymore, but for these scum," I paused to glare at Cold's minions. "I feel a little differently." The truth was just that… these morons weren't… people…they were menaces that enjoyed slaughtering billions… Giving these people a second chance would be a lot different than when Goku gave me that chance, or Piccolo… no… this is far from the same situation.

Appule nodded. "Fair enough. King Cold… we've been expecting you." He stated casually.

"Oh have you?" Snapped the galactic lord. He seemed under complete control… but at the sight of Appule he seemed to be losing that control. "And just how could you possibly know that?"

"We were warned. That's not important though… what's important is you're here, and I can't figure out how you discovered Earth."

"You mean to know how I found out which planet you ran off to with your tail between your legs? It's quite simple… We knew that the ship was out here, and then we discovered one of Frieza's closer henchmen liberated Yavo, saving them from a Saiyan invader. Frieza's close henchmen were all on Namek… and it was said you had an immense amount of power. Connect the dots… you killed my son," he accused venomously, staring Appule down coldly.

POV - King Cold

"Well technically he's still alive but… that doesn't change things here between us… you're going to die, here and now. It will save me the trouble later." The fiendish Yavinian declared.

My eyes widened. "W-What? He's alive?"

"Unfortunately, yes. But don't you worry… we'll take care of him soon enough."

So Frieza, you've managed to elude your seemingly certain death after all. Oh my, and to think that still means you lost. "I demand to see him!"

"You will demand no such thing!" The green man interfered. "We refuse to do you any favors for one thing, and we're through talking."

"Well you're certainly not patient. No matter, if you choose to be defiant then I'll resort to other means of getting information. Men! Take them alive!" I commanded.

POV - Appule

Each of us braced ourselves for the attack. Not because a singleone of us feared his simple henchmen, but because we were wary of the Arcosian officers he chose to bring with him. There were actually a lot of them; I inferred that Cold dropped off most of his henchmen and replaced them with Arcosians for this special trip. They varied in form, each one with some mild resemblance to what we saw of Frieza in each of his forms. Cold looked almost identical to Frieza's second form with the exception of height… he was gigantic.

Before anyone had the chance to lunge at someone, more fighters appeared from the clouds and dropped in. A pair of warriors sporting orange GIs landed beside Tien.

"Hey guys, hope we didn't miss too much."

"Not at all Yamcha, we're just getting started. In fact, you're just in time… think you're up to fighting Arcosians?" I prompted.

"U-um… not really," he admitted, nervous at the thought.

Well you better become ready fast…

"Yeah well… I'm always ready." Goku stated with confidence, dropping into a fighting stance.

"For once Goku, we agree on something." Piccolo added, discarding his cape and turban, which promptly crashed into the Earth with a noticeably loud thud.

An Arcosian standing alongside Cold chuckled. "You're confidence has been misplaced. Try as you will, but all of this is futile. Why don't you save us all some time and handover the one who's slain Lord Frieza? Then we will take him away, end him… and leave the rest of you to your own insignificant lives!" The lanky freak prompted.

He was in his final form already, and like Frieza looked quite unimpressive at first glance. I had no knowledge about him, but his power level was significant, it was possible that he was royalty… or perhaps just a high ranking militant figure. He was taller than Frieza, a good six or seven inches taller… and as opposed to the purple bio gems, his were olive green and unlike every Arcosian I had ever seen… his skin wasn't ivory… but instead a light grey.

I snorted in disgust. "Please… you could pretend the follow through with that and even then you would still just blow the planet up from space. I'm not stupid… if you know so much about me you should know I would smell this deception miles away considering I worked- No," I caught myself. "No I was enslaved by Frieza! So just take that false diplomacy of yours back to Arcos where you'll be able to defend your people when the day comes that the script is flipped… someday, I will be assaulting YOUR world!"

Cold and the strange and lanky Arcosian chuckled. "We shall see…" The tyrant responded. "Although I highly doubt you're in place to be making threats… Now, once again: TAKE THEM ALIVE!" He shouted towards his minions.

Cold's men took a few subtle steps forward. I kept focused… but at the same time sensed further out. I noted that an enormous group of reinforcements was on its way, the Genocilians. The only problem with that was that they were moving at a slow pace so that people like Hercule and Yajirobe could keep up. I think I could sense Krillin tagging along with them.

Just then, I noticed a very slight, stealthy flicker of movement and suddenly it was on. The warrior that made the first move went after Tien, who didn't have any problem playing defense to thwart his attacks. This was taken by everyone else as an invitation to get the fight started.

Making use of the distraction created by that first move, several other Arcosians flew at a target of their own. One went on to help out against Tien. Three went after Yamcha, two more for Goku, two for Piccolo and a collective group with no real target flying towards Evak and the others who stood tightly bunched preparing to fend them off… if they can.

As each radical frenzy began… I blinked a couple times… realizing not a single person went for me. I looked to Cold and a group of even more Arcosians that stood idly by and watched the action unfold. I was confused at that… but then again that means I could help someone else out.

My immediate thought was that Evak, Denal and Corser were in the need of the most help… they were under multiple threats… outnumbered actually. It was four on three. But… all four were in their completely untransformed states… I had no idea if that were a coincidence or not, but seeing that they obviously were nothing like Frieza… their first forms were nothing to fear really. Or at the very least those particular Arcosians weren't. They should still be able to kick the shit out of my trio but I wasn't about to hold their hand, we had backup on the way and there were others to think about here.

Tien had his fight under control… he used a combination of multi-form and Lightning aura to fight the duo of fairly strong Arcosians one on one.

Piccolo noticed this as well while fighting his opponents, and copied Tien by performing his split clone technique, and since he was a whole lot stronger than Tien still at this point… he would do fine without the Lightning aura boost.

Goku looked unfortunate, he got stuck with a pair of powerful third form Arcosians… but he had Kaio-ken so he too was quite all right.

Yamcha on the other hand… three on one and not doing well…

A/N: Oh look, a Cliffhanger… Lol

Well I hope everyone enjoyed the Four chapter update, I planned on having action in this one but I wasn't finished with what I had done… and since I have internet access right now I wanted to get it out, cause if I didn't… it would be awhile before anyone saw it.

See yall later I'm going to look forward to the flurry of reviews (Hopefully) since it was 4 Chs it's been damn long since I have been putting stuff out for you guys.
