After being snagged by the crazy chick, Doc was being dragged down the hallway upstairs. He honestly wasn't that scared by her, but he did feel that this could get him some information as to where they were. Or when, as the case may. Finally, aforementioned crazy chick opened one of the doors lining the hallway, revealing what appeared to be a medieval age bedroom, in keeping with what seemed to be a theme.
"Is this a Medieval fair after the rage virus or something?" He mused as he was nearly thrown into a chair in the center of the room. It was at this point he noticed someone leaning against the wall in the corner. Another women, wearing the same strange outfit he noticed the other one was wearing. She stood faced as he regained his senses.
"Hello." She began. "Apologies for my compatriots rough handling of you, but we feel caution is necessary. We have a few questions to ask of you-"
"How do you carry those swords? What's with those outfits? Why does everything look like its from around the thirteen hundreds?"
"Quiet! We're the ones asking the questions here."
"Sorry, this isn't the first time this has happened."
"We'll lets not do it again. So from your armour and the questions you've asked, it seems you're a foreigner."
At this point Helen stepped in. "Oh, come on. This the only piece land there is. It's just tons of ocean from here on out."
"This place being the only one in existence? Helen, you know that's bullshit."
"Yeah, this one inn being the only thing that's real? Yeah, that is bullshit." Doc re-entered the conversation.
"You've have a bit of a smart mouth."
"I got it from the people I travel with."
"Yes, speaking of." Deneve started, walking over to the window and pulling open the curtain. Standing outside we're Sarge and Adrian, now talking to Donut and Lopez, and there was a jeep next to them. "It seems that you're groups growing a bit. Mind telling me what you're doing here."
"We'll, I'm being interrogated by you two, and those guys are most likely preparing some harebrained rescue operation doomed to fail."
And then the wall exploded.
"Goddamn Wash, you are a heavy son of a bitch!"
"Commanders orders; no bitching until i've gotten medical treatment." Wash responded in a quite frustrated tone of voice. Granted, being shot twice, then getting captured and tortured by a Tentacle-Loli and her dumb as shit boyfriend, and finally left out in the wilderness without equipment, not counting their armor and Tucker's sword would leave any one in a bad mood. Admittedly, it could have been worse, considering it was looking like they were going to be eaten... or worse. As such, Wash had to admit trading all their equipment for freedom was a good deal.
Well, after more torturing from the Loli-bitch who Wash was now quite certain was older than she looks. She apparently found the sounds he made when she rooted a tentacle around his side wound hilarious.
"Y'know, could have been worse." Tucker relinquished.
"Yeah, it could have been an ugly man torturing us." Wash shot back.
"Not like that man! I'm not into that shit!" Tucker defended.
"Yeah, I know what you mean, and thats what pisses me." Wash admitted. "I can't even get angry properly, knowing how it could have gone, just pisses me off worse."
Suddenly there was a shout "Hey!" Wash tensed up. Had he been that focused on his complaining? He looked to where the call had come from and saw a young man, barely twenty years old, a concerned look on his face, approaching from the trees on the side of the road.
"You look like you got into a bad spot, let me give you a hand." The young man continued, taking the shoulder that Tucker wasn't already supporting Wash with.
"Thanks." Wash managed to chock out as they headed into the woods, Wash carrying the distinct feeling he was about to get robbed. Again.
With careful precision, Irene knocked the arrow and took aim at the rabbit, too busy focused on its dinner to realize it was about to become dinner. One had to be quiet to get a meal in this forest, as one wrong movement-
"HEY BITCH! REMEMBER ME?"
The sudden shouting from behind her startled Irene, and if the noise hadn't made the rabbit run for it, the arrow landing lodging in the ground several inches away insured that. Cursing under her breath, Irene turned around and looked at the source of the disturbance.
Rafaela, with a psychotic look in her one eye and an equally mad grin. Despite this, Irene was still seemed nonchalant, even a bit annoyed.
"Surprised to see me?"
"Not particularly." Rafaela grin fell as she got a flustered look, which was swiftly replaced with an angry one. "Oh, you think you're so clever? We'll, guess what, hot shit? You ain't getting out of this one alive. I know all your tricks, and I'm ready for 'm. Trip me up like the first time? I'm ready for it. Fire an arrow, I'm ready for it! So say your prayers cause this is the end-"
Just then, the scream that had been growing steadily louder was cut off as a blue human form crash landed on top of the mad renegade killer. Rafaela was still conscious however. At least until the second blue form hit, sending her to Lala land. Irene calmly observed the two figures in strange blue armour for a few seconds before coming to a simple conclusion.
"We'll, that was odd."
Pium observed the proceedings in silent terror. She knew she had been wandering too far from home, but she didn't really think anything bad was going to happen, right? Then she had been captured, grabbed by bandits, men who enjoyed her screams of terror a bit to much. And one bandit kept looking at her like she was a piece of meat.
Then, half of them had gone off, thankfully taking the terrifying man with them, and her fate seemed assured. To be sold as a slave, to never see mommy or daddy again.
Then a few of those who had left returned, covered in blood and wounds, speaking of a beast-man that had torn the others limb from limb.
Then they found out that he was still after them, and the blood began to fly. The beast-man silently tore his way through the bandits, with fists, with knives, turning the bandits weapons against them.
Which brings us up to the present, the beast-man was now looking through the camp, scavenging money, weapons and supplies from the dead men as Pium sat in silent terror, small flakes of the bandits blood matted on her simple dress and plain black hair.
Then the beast-man finished looking, stood up, and looked at her. She pressed up against the back of the cage she had been locked in as the beast-man approached her, drawing a serrated knife. She let out a scream of terror as the knife plunged down-
And embedded itself in the dirt in front of the cage. The beast-man then wrestled it out of the ground and proceeded to make shallow cuts in the dirt, slowly drawing something. As he continued, Pium realized that he was writing something, the slow speed was because he was writing upside-down so that it made sense from her side. Eventually, the message became clear:
"Where you from?"
"Ra-Rados." She choked out, still worried as to what the beast-man might do, although the fear was slowly fading. He simply proceeded to erase the message with a swipe of his hand, and write another one.
"Can you show me there?" Pium had been carried quite fast but she was reasonably sure she could go back. "I-I think so." Pium tensed and closed her eyes as the beast-man reached out a hand. A few seconds later, she heard the scraping of metal and opened her eyes to find the beast-man sawing away at the lock to the cage with the hand holding the knife, the other hand that had reached out holding the lock, which gave away with a snap. Swinging the cage door open, he stood up and made a 'Lead the Way' gesture. Pium tentatively stepped out of the cage, before accepting the gloved hand the man offered. They then walked off, first to the road, then to Rados.
