~~~~~ I Will Never Give Up, With Out A Fight ~~~~~
"Tell me—what the heck are we doing here?!" Jason asked, not amused at all that he was dragged into whatever Rogue and Natsu were doing. "Actually, let me rephrase that: what am I doing here?!" All he got in return was 'shush' from Rogue and Natsu, as they continued peeking through a hole—and pushing each other. "Guys, you aren't even letting me see! What's the point?!"
"You're a dragonslayer, aren't you?!" Rogue said voice filled with—and hallelujah to it that he had feelings that time—annoyance. "Then try using your improved senses and stop being an out-of-place idiot!"
"What am I supposed to do? All I smell is…"—he sniffed—"Lucy." He said rolling his eyes. "I know you guys are obsessed and all over her, but stalking? Gosh, Rogue I thought you were better than this!" he got a glare from the said dragonslayer.
"For your information, Jason, but Lucy isn't the only one here." Natsu said, not even giving Jason a glance. "But since you're just newbie, I'll accept your idioticy." Which was strange for him to say since he was more idiotic than Jason.
Jason stayed silent for a while, trying to hear a voice. He picked it up. "What are they doing here?" he asked.
"On a damn date, now shut up!" Rogue barked, silencing them.
"Wow, he seems to have passion." Natsu commented, holding his fit of laughter which earned a good ole glare from Rogue. He stopped laughing. "…. And anger…" Jason snickered.
. . .
Lucy giggled. "I never knew you had a soft side for kids, Sting." She teased, sticking her tongue out to him.
Sting rolled his eyes and grumbled. "They wanted to play. Just stop bugging with me about it..." he shot back, looking away from her with a small blush on his face.
Lucy saw something black in the corner of her eye. "Hey, Sting… Did you see that?" she asked, looking around. It wasn't there anymore. It was just filled with people and shops and their shadows under than burning sun.
"Hmm? Saw what?" he replied, and looked around too. "I don't see anything."
"Oh, I just thought I…" she sighed and shrugged. "I guess it was just my imagination."
"Well, you have a big one, so I'm not surprise." He snickered at her.
Lucy glared, but held her head high and said, "Well, who would've thought that Sting Eucliffe would love adorable little kids, hmm?" she raised a brow, amused by his flushed face.
"Shut up!"
. . .
Rogue sighed in relief. "That was close." He muttered.
"'That was close'?! That is all you have to say?! Rogue, shame on you! You were careless!" Natsu scolded. "I mean, I didn't sign up playing dress up with you guys for nearly getting caught!" he presented himself in disbelief. "I mean, what kind of freak do, I look like?!" Though he said that, he looked more modern. Just a black wig to make his hair look normal, but having the same spiky effect; some black shirt and a white jacket with some orange streaks; white cargo pants with checker gray lines; white shoes. He was forced to leave his scarf, since it would be so obvious.
"Yeah, yeah, catch you later." Jason said, winking at some stranger girl, as he came towards them. He rolled his eyes and slumped. "What a flirt," he said, rubbing the back of his head with a non-amused expression. Like Natsu, he was in casual, and like other authors, I'm too lazy to describe, so like Spongebob, just use your imagination, so like non-Albert-Einstein people, I don't have to explain every single detail. (LOL XD)
"It seems to me, you look like the flirt." Rogue replied, rolling his eyes. "You were the one who chose to 'stay in cover and act normal'. You know, act normal?" Rogue emphasized. Unlike the two, he wore his usual since he could turn to the shadow—which, by the way, Jason and Natsu called 'unfair'.
"Pssh—that was all an act." Jason casually said. "Now, stop trying to bug me and get on it!"
"Well, I'm sorry Mr. Grumps, but who came in late?" Natsu retorted.
"Gosh, just shut up guys! We're getting nowhere!" Rogue groaned.
"Well, you started this, Sir Unfair!" Jason near-to-yelled.
And at once, the brawl between the dragonslayers began.
. . .
"I'm sorry, okay?" Lucy apologized, eyeing Sting as he held an ice pack to his right cheek. "I wasn't watching out!"
"Then maybe, you could make use of eyes, ears, and you know, eyes?!" Sting grumbled.
"Well—" before Lucy could continue, yelling overwhelmed her voice.
"Roar of the…" familiar voiced said in unison. Very familiar voices. "Fire Dragon!" "Shadow Dragon!" "Water Dragon!" they yelled. Yes, it was Natsu, Rogue and Jason. Yes, Rogue was there too. And yes, a big destruction that would lead Master Makarov towards the council shall happen because of a destroyed town. And yes, Sting and not Rogue was not part of it. Yes, it is very unbelievable.
Sting and Lucy's eyes widened after the big 'boom'. They looked at each other, stayed silent, and as if communicating by head, they dashed to the scene.
. . .
"Rogue?!" Sting and Lucy yelled in unison in surprise. "I mean, guys?!"
"Um… It was Rogue's idea to stalk on you guys and not me! Oh, you can blame Natsu for the explosion! I mean, look at all this ash and such!" Jason partially lied, coughing away smoke and cleaning ashes away from his clothes.
"Hey, don't lead me into this! You used your roar on me too!" Natsu complained, trying to get unstuck between two blocks of cement above him. "And, er… help, please?"
"How are you even alive?!" Rogue snapped, giving Natsu and evil eye. "And don't even lead me into this!"—he gave the glare to Jason—"For your information, I don't snoop into anyone's business, as much as I'm interested in anything. Which is what? Oh, yeah of course—nothing! Well, nothing except my exceed!"
"You can't be in love with your exceed!" Natsu retorted, still struggling to wiggle out.
"What—I never said I was in love with anybody!"
"It's quite obvious that you're in love with—"Before Jason got to the end of his sentence, he was tackled by Rogue which led to an intense brawl. And this didn't seem like the friendly kind.
"Hey, hey, will you just quit it!" Lucy demanded, forcing herself between the two dragonslayers before they started using magic again and hurt themselves—and if it was that intense that they might send one giant blow, her safety too. They stopped and once they did, Lucy said: "Good—now please help Natsu out there." They followed.
"Now, what's really going on here?" Sting asked. "And how did you guys even get into a fight?"
The three started accusing each other and talking at once, Lucy had to silence them. She sighed in frustration. "You know what, we're getting nowhere in this. Let's do this one by one, okay? Natsu—what were you guys doing here?"
Natsu was silent for a bit. "… We were spying on you guys…" he admitted, guilty and quiet.
"What? Exactly—why?"
Natsu motioned to Rogue who replied: "I didn't plan any of this. Jason did. They dragged me down with them. Blame him, not me, because I'm just a victim here."
Jason gaped at Rogue. "That's sick, man! Give the blame on me when we owe all of this to you! I mean, can you see how ridiculous I look?!" Jason said, having a glare fight with him. "Dude, just admit it, it was all your idea! I can see right through your soul!"
Lucy crunched up her nose. "That sounds a bit weird, Jason."
Right before anyone could say anything, someone yelled, "Natsu, Sting, Rogue, Jason and Lucy—what in the world is going on here?!" They all looked at the direction of the voice—Master Makarov.
. . .
Lucy sighed, grumbling as she made her way home. Well, so much for a fun day with Sting. At least it was fun while it lasted. She opened the door to her apartment, and not forgetting to close it after. She made her way to her bedroom, dropping all her things, and made her way to the kitchen. She had a surprise.
"We're so sorry, Lucy!" Natsu yelled, bowing to the floor with Rogue and Jason. He seemed sincere, Jason seemed to want to go away, Rogue wanted to get out of embarrassment. As much as Natsu was as idiotic as he is, he could be sweet… And forceful, mind you…
"What in the world are you doing in my house?!" Lucy snapped. Although, she appreciated the gesture. How could she stay mad long at these people? Natsu for being her ultimate best friend, Rogue who turned to her when she was in the blue, and Jason who helped her survive childhood?
"Natsu—"—Natsu nudged Jason—"I mean, we wanted to apologize to you for ruining your day… And for stalking you…" Jason finished, sting bowing down in front of her like the rest. "We swear we didn't really mean you harm! It was just that, an unexpected brawl happened! Which led to… Yeah—the destruction of the town… We're really sorry!"
Rogue was silent, though Natsu kicked his leg. "Um…" Rogue didn't know what to say. He was the 'apologetic' type of guy. Heck, this was his first time to cause trouble! Heck a lot of trouble that is!
"Rogue is sorry." Natsu said for him, pissed at Rogue for forgetting his eyes—that he utterly did not want to say. "He's just a bit guilty to talk, you know? I mean, who wouldn't? He was just worry about… Er… How your date will go! Yeah—that's right! He wanted to make sure Sting didn't utterly mess this up, you know? You know Sting—he's not really trust worthy in keeping anything safe!"
Lucy sighed. She looked at them then giggled, surprising the trio. "Nah, it is okay, guys."
"It is…?" Rogue asked softly, trying not to get to her temper, just in case she still had any.
Suddenly, Jason looked at the three in his right and had an evil glint in his eyes—which they saw. "So, then, Lucy…" he got up and whispered something to her ears. She nodded slowly. Natsu and Rogue glanced at each other with an anxious look. What was Jaosn up to? They looked at the two, and saw Lucy get a smile and agreed happily. Well, at least she wasn't mad…?
. . .
"Jason Odair, tell us what you told her!" Rogue said, curiosity reaching him.
Jason shrugged. "Since you guys got too over worked up with up with Lucy dating Sting for a day, I told her, 'hey to keep things fair for the too jealous freaks, why don't you bring them out too? Because I bet they were just oh-so jealous to see Sting taking the prize.'" He answered. "Then she was like, 'oh, okay. Though, why would they be jealous? It was just a friendly hang out together.'" He said, using his girly-imposter voice. "Then I was like, 'oh, you know boys.' Then she asked, 'er, aren't you a guy too, Jason?'"—Natsu and Rogue snickered, and Jason gave then the shut-up-look—"Then I was like, 'Like I told you before, I'm straight in and out.' So she was like, 'oh, okay. Then why don't we talk tomorrow to get this all settled?' So, yeah. After tomorrow, you'll get your Lucy time." Jason smirked as Natsu and Rogue gaped at him.
"Jason…' Natsu said slowly. "How long have you been with Mirajane?!"
Jason thought for a bit, then shrugged. "How should I know? We hang out, we talk, I do a lot with a lot. How about you? Do you count how many days you were with Lucy?" he raised a brow.
"Um… Since we met 3 years ago on maybe around summer or something, and today is like autumn, then… Hmm… There are 300 something days a year, so you add that twice…" Natsu continued trying to calculate, as Rogue and Jason watched with amusement. After a while, Natsu said, "I don't know. A thousand?!"
Rogue rolled his eyes. "Near, but not so close."
"How about you then?" Natsu challenged, shooting a glare towards him.
"Let's see… Days and days and days… Maybe around 1-2 weeks—which is around 14 days. Problem?" he smirked. "Well, at least I'm good at math." Natsu growled at him.
"Whoa, whoa, don't fight right after we made up!" Jason said, coming between the two, keeping them from attacking each other. "Unless, you know, you want the deal off."
That kept them still.
. . .
"Hey, Jason." Lucy greeted as Jason entered the café. In return he smiled and greeted the same hello. Lucy motioned the seat in front of her, and Jason, gladly, sat down to it. "So, what's the plan?"
"Honestly, I have no idea." He admitted, though not a twinge of any negative reactions crossed his face or eyes. Again, too laid back. Lucy was about to retort when Jason shrugged and silenced her. He said, "Well, I don't know what 3 idiots I don't know like, because honestly, I really don't like anything at all except anywhere near the ocean and friends, so… Yeah, I'm a disaster at dates, so that is why I let the girls plan the date, and not me… unless, of course, if they want to get wet for only a day, and poof, I'm gone."
"Gosh, you're mean to them." Lucy commented, rolling her eyes.
"And did you know, they already have boyfriends that time—who's mean now?" Jason raised a brow.
"Well, you accepted it in the first place!" Lucy snapped, not liking getting arguments and being disagreed to when it's him, since usually, she was the smarter one and the one that actually made sense, since she hit reality first.
Jason shrugged. "Hmm, never thought of it that way—oh, well." And he just shrugged it off like it was no big deal. "Anyway, before you get me into one of your to-snore-for-lectures—"
"Hey!"
"—let us continue with our conversation. So, where do you think they'd like to go? You knew them first." He continued, ignoring the cut off. "I don't even know their reputation."
Ignoring the last remark—since it was kind of impossible to not know their reputation at all—Lucy replied, "I don't know. Probably the beach?"
Jason scoffed. "Day not week."
"Okay, fine. Er… Then, um… probably… I don't know." Lucy sighed, giving up in her attempts.
"Okay, fine. How about… Well, probably a neat place for a certain fire dragonslayer—that's a first. Heat, huh? Burning… Destruction… Flames… Passion… Idiotic… Obliviou—"
"What is with the bad comments?" Lucy asked, laughing a bit. "You know, he isn't that bad."
Jason gave an annoyed look. "Not bad? I mean, have you seen the bruise he has done to my ever-so-beautiful skin?!" he exaggerated, pulling up his pants to show a small—okay, admittedly, not small at all—bruise. It was, well, black an purple like a normal bruise, hurts like hell sometimes if you add pressure, and of course, made by a certain dragonslayer during a certain fight. The wonders of brawl, right?
"Well, it isn't as worst as Gajeels… And Rogues… And Stings… And Gray… Elfman, maybe? Oh, and there's Lax—"
"Gosh, don't you ever shut up?" Jason asked, casually, earning a glare from Lucy. "Er… Anway, just think! Unless you want a trip to the sun, use your head. You have it for something!"
Trying not to take that as a insult, she thought. And thought. And thought. 'Somewhere hot, Lucy… Think…' she said to herself.
"A volcano!" Jason chirped, but then slumped down in defeat. "No, she'll most probably die…" And Lucy didn't need to comment that it was not just 'most probably', it was absolutely.
'Think, Lucy…' "How about… the er… Gosh, can we do Rogue first?!'
"Shadow?" Jason raised a brow, challenging that it is as hard as Natsu's were. "How can you possibly think of a perfect place for a shadow dragonslayer? It's as hard as a f—"
"The movies?" Lucy asked, disturbing him, a she ignored his rant. "Well, it's dark. Gosh, why do I even have to go with them anyway?!"
Jason was silent for a while, then a smile shown on his face. "Besides because they had this certain 'issue' with them, maybe… DO you want to see IT again?" He asked, not daring to say IT—whatever it was—in public.
Lucy's eyes widened in shock, then to all-the-way-cheery. "Really?"
"Yep."
"Okay, I'm still in."
