A/N: Yeah it's been awhile since I've uploaded a chapter, but I finally caught up in KnB with the anime and I'm also almost caught up with the manga. As well as reading a few K-ON manga's made by numerous fans, I think I'm set to go with chapter 5. So here goes nothing.

Remember to Love What you do

Kuroko wiped the sweat from his brow as he watched the ball dart back and forth from each player as they hesitated on how to approach Teikō Middle School's Generation of Miracles. It was, in fact, an incredible feat that the opposing team was still trying their hardest to win even though it was futile.

Kuroko took his eyes off the ball for a moment to glance at the score. 54 to 20 in the second quarter in favor of Teikō with 5 minutes left on the clock. There's almost no possible chance that we will lo-

"Tetsu!" yelled Aomine suddenly, snapping Kuroko back into the game as one of the player's made a drive past him, catching him by surprise.

"He's going for a lay-up," said Akashi calmly from the side as Murasakibara sprang into action and immediately charged up to block the drive.

So…. So fast! Thought the player as he stuttered a bit, the huge purple haired Teikō player looming over him. What do I do! The player's eyes darted back and forth looking for an opening in the defense, but in his thought process he had forgotten to keep track of one thing.

"It's a steal!" yelled one of his teammates as he suddenly realized his ball had almost magically disappeared from his hands and into the hands of Teikō's forward, Aomine Daiki.

"What the-"

"You should keep watch of the ball better," smirked Aomine as he barreled down the court in a fast break.

"Defense! Get on their forward!" yelled the enemy captain as they charged into defense on the other side of the court, beating Aomine to his mark and halting him momentarily. He grimaced as saw three players center, guarding the hoop.

"Do you really think that will stop me?" smirked Aomine as he charged straight into the players, hurling the ball to the left at the last second.

"He's passing to thin air!" exclaimed one of the players as he watched the ball fly to his right, completely ignoring Aomine jump up in front of him. Suddenly, as if driven by magic, the ball lunged back up into the air and was caught by Aomine who promptly dunked it into the net with a furious whoosh as the crowd gasped.

"It was an alley-oop!" roared the crowd as they cheered and the scoreboard went up two more points in favor of Teikō.

"Nice job Tetsu," said Aomine as he jogged back to the other side of the court, Kuroko alongside him smiling, "But next time don't interfere with my plays."

He jogged on as Kuroko's pace slowed down a bit, a frown forming upon his face at Aomine's comment. He sighed as he continued to jog back down.

"Don't lose focus again, Kuroko," said Akashi once he'd returned to the other side of the court, "Otherwise I'll see to it that Kise fills in for the rest of the game."

Kuroko nodded solemnly at Akashi's biting comment. Was making a mistake and risking losing a point that costly? To be replaced as if you weren't good enough? Thought Kuroko as he looked up at the other team, who by now, were cowering with the ball, unsure of where to go for at every corner there was someone who stopped them in their tracks and ultimately crushed them into smithereens.

"Mio! Hurry up!" wailed Yui as she dragged her old classmate up the stairs to the stands of the gymnasium, where yet another game was being played by Teikō against a fellow school.

"Oye oye Yui! what's the rush!?" sighed Mio as she frantically held onto her popcorn, trying to keep the food in its bag as Yui forcefully kept her moving up the stairs. All around them people were staring, but for more then just the fact that Yui was dragging someone up the stairs.

"Woah..." said a few members of the crowd as they spotted Mio, "She's beautiful..."

"Yui..." grumbled Mio as she started to go faster up the stairs, turning red at the compliments she could hear coming from the crowd.

"It's okay Mio!" Grinned Yui, happier that Mio was finally moving faster, "Your boyfriend won't know you're here."

"Alright then Yu... wait WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABO-"

She was cut off by Azusa who had smacked her hand across Mio's outraged face in order to quiet her down as the trio now backed into the bleachers, ignoring the stares from the crowd.

"Aw... you hear that? She has a boyfriend..." mumbled a few onlookers after a minute as they basketball game continued.

"See Senpai?" smiled Azusa as she finally released her hand from Mio's mouth, "Yui isn't as blunt as she used to be."

Gasping for air on her seat, Mio's only response was a grunt as Yui sat beside her and patted her back.

"So why are we here again?" managed Mio after a few minutes of trying to get settled down, "I do have work to do as well as a performance tonight."

"Performance?" asked Azusa, wide eyed," What performanc-"

Yui quickly hushed the two of them by making a shushing noise before gesturing towards the court excitedly. She bounced up and down on her chair whilst the other two gave each other tired smiles.

"Midorima!" called out Akashi as he bounce passed the ball to the green haired shooter who gracefully took the pass and shot the ball before turning to walk back, the rest of his team following.

"Where are they going?" asked the other players, confused as they watched the ball soar through the air before gasping in shock as the ball went straight through the hoop with nothing but net.

"That's insane..." mumbled the crowd as they watched the Teikō players make their way down the court, an air of confidence to their strides.

"Good job Midorima, as expected like always," said Akashi as the team set up their defense once more.

"I never miss," he scoffed as he fixed his glasses before focusing back onto the other team.

"Oh I'm sure you never do..." smiled Akashi, which resulted in a scowl from Midorima.

"Woah, they are quite amazing," commented Mio as she watched from the bleachers where she, Azusa, and Yui shared a bench, "But aren't there supposed to be five players per team? Why do I only see four?"

Yui smiled at her question before pointing behind one of the other players.

"Right there Mio!" she giggled, "There is the fifth player! He has blue hair you see? He's hard to notice because he..."

Yui's smiled faded as she squinted her eyes in the direction of the fifth player.

"What's wrong Yui?" asked Mio and Azusa together, unsure of what in the world would make their happy go lucky friend lose her smile so fast.

Yui shook her head before looking at Mio and Azusa together, eyes filled with worry.

"There's something wrong with him!" she mumbled in an agitated way, "He's not... he's not playing like he was before."

"What do you mean?" asked Azusa as he glanced at the court where Kuroko managed to steal another ball and pass it to Midorima, "He's playing fine..."

"Who?!" exclaimed Mio as she cut into Azusa's sentence, "Who are you talking ab-"

"Kuroko," replied the other two in unison as they turned Mio's head to the blue haired Teikō player who was weaving his way in between the players on the court.

"... when did he get on the court!?" screeched Mio as she jumped a bit in her chair, actually getting scared that she hadn't seen him on the court even though she'd met him the previous day.

"Didn't we explain this to you already?" sighed Azusa shaking her head, "Nevermind... back to Yui-senpai's problem. So what do you mean by-"

"There's something not right about him.. some kind of sadness..." sighed Yui as she shook her head before getting up.

"Where are you going Yui?" asked Mio as she watched her friend get up.

"Mio... have you ever hated something you loved?" asked Yui, a sad look in her eyes as she turned back to Mio before looking out at Kuroko once more, "I feel... I don't know him well or anything... but I can almost tell by his face now... He isn't playing the same."

And with that Yui turned and left, leaving the shocked and confused Mio and Azusa sitting side by side.

"I wonder what she means by that..." said Azusa aloud to no one in particular.

"And what an amazing chance of a comeback by Chiben Gakuen's basketball team! Stealing the ball from... this blue haired player on Teikō's team! Say when did he even get on the court? Anyways! The steal is on and this game isn't completely at a loss for Chiben Gakuen!" boomed the loudspeaker moments after Azusa had spoken aloud.

"Kise you're up!" called Akashi as his grip on Kuroko's shoulder intensified for a moment, "Switch out with Kuroko... he's not feeling well."

With a slight shove from Akashi, Kuroko made his way to the bench, clasping hands with Kise before sitting down on the bench, his hands up to his face in frustration.

A few mistakes and this is what I get? Just for a few mistakes... if it costs us victory, they'd just... rather not have me!?

A/N: So I finished catching up with KnB season 2 as well as the manga for the most part. So here is the actual Chapter 5. I will shortly be deleting the update and replacing it with this chapter as I get to working on chapter 6 or other chapters in my other stories. I know my writing style is a bit lackluster as well from little to no practice, but I feel as though I'm experimenting with a new style of writing with less description and more speech. Nevertheless, hope you all enjoy as the next chapter will come soon (or not)
