Broken Pieces Chapter Fourteen: I love you, Butch!

A/N: It seems like there was quite a bit of confusion over the last chapter. I made that chapter for those who wanted Blossom to end up with one of my OC's. I found it would be faster since you could just supply any of their names into the spot where it says (OC's Name). Anyways, this chapter is supposed to take place after the ball.

Also, super sorry for taking so long to post. The summer has been rather uninspiring. I will try to post a bunch more since I haven't done any during the summer! I'm so sorry! Also, I love reading new mangas and watching anime so if you have a favourite one, be sure to review it to me so I can check them out! If I like them enough maybe I'll make a fanfiction for it!

I will also be gone on vacation on August 16th to the 23rd. I will be (hopefully) writing while I'm on vacation and I will also be attending a camp on the 29th to the will give me tons of time to write before heading back to school. Also, I'd like to thank a Guest User who has been reviewing and it always makes my dad to see people reviewing!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: This chapter is written as if Blossom never got together with one of the OC's. It's just going to be from when they went to the ball and they've just come back. So, I hope there's no confusion there...

DISCLAIMER: I don't own the characters from PPGZ just my OC's.

Finally, onto the story!

Blossom's P.O.V

"Guys, we're almost there." Scarlett informed me, shaking me awake. I nodded my head groggily and moved to wake the others. I couldn't help but smile at last night's events. It was a fun night, meeting all the people Scarlett used to surround herself with. Though I couldn't help but miss Butch. I couldn't explain why but the whole time at the party I was thinking of Butch and how much he would've enjoyed the party.

Lately, the only thing that has been on my mind is Butch. I can't help but feel guilty since it was I who ended the relationship. The time we spent together, no matter how little, is still precious to me. Maybe I should visit him later and check if he'll hang out with me.

"Earth to Bloss!" Jake waved his hand in front of my face, a scowl painted over his usual cocky attitude. I shook my head and got out of the carriage that was preparing to leave.

"Sorry about that, got a little caught up in my thoughts!" I mumbled, hoping my bright smile would lessen the anger radiating off of Jake. He let out a sigh before patting my head and strutting away from our group.

"Jake, where are you going? I thought we'd all go back to the house and have lunch." Scarlett asked, pouting a little at his odd behaviour.

Jake turned his head and flashed his usual smirk, "Sorry guys, but I got a date. I'll be back later."

All of us were stunned as Jake disappeared from our view. Jake had a date planned? He's always been so a hostile person towards people out of our group. Not to mention his cockiness gets him into so much trouble that many people are scared to go near him.

"Well, let's go guys. Who's cooking today?"

Jake's P.O.V

"What did you call me out for anyways?" Butch grumbled, crossing his arms at me. I let out a scoff before closing the distance between us. My hands clutched the collar of his shirt, bringing him off the ground.

"Do you still like Bloss?" I hissed, glaring him straight in the eyes. Butch, of course, struggled against my grip and managed to kick me in the gut causing me to release him. He was after all, the strongest out of the RRBZ.

"So what if I do? I probably have more of a chance with her then you do." Butch growled, getting ready for a fight. Well, if it's a fight he wants it's a fight he gets!

-After their pointless fight (boys -rolls eyes-)-

A tie, a pointless tie. Butch and I were perfectly matched when it came to strength.

"I just want to let you know, if you don't treat Bloss right, I will come after you. You're super lucky you know that?" I chuckled, knowing I had fully lost the battle for Blossom's heart.

"What do you mean I'm super lucky? The feelings haven't even been returned yet." Butch rose a brow at me only for me to brush him off.

"See ya next time!"

"H-hey! Wait! ATLEAST TELL ME WHAT YOU MEAN!"

Blossom's P.O.V

I should be training. Not lying around on my bed thinking about Butch. Honestly, I'm going to turn into one of his fan girls if I don't go and do something. I wonder what's he's doing right now...

DANG IT, BLOSSOM! Get your head together!

Finally having enough of my internal fight, I quickly hopped off my bed and headed towards the gym we had downstairs to work out.

-30 Minutes Later-

"Hey Bloss! I got a package for you upstairs!" Scarlett's voice traveled down, a slight giggle to it. Maybe her and Levi or Will were joking around again. I swear, if they got Scarlett intoxicated again then they're in big trouble.

"Coming!" I cried back, wiping away my sweat with a towel. I don't remember ordering anything so what could that be?

I quickly climbed up the stairs and opened the door. There was no package, just Butch. Butch with a pretty, red ribbon taped onto his head. It didn't take long for the giggles to slip out.

"What... are you... doing?" I giggled, gasping for air ever so often. Butch wiggled his brows in a suggestive manner only to send me to my knees, clutching my sides.

"I'm your present for today! You and I are going to go explore around town." Butch grinned. I couldn't help but return the smile.

"Can you wait a sec? I was working out when you came so I think I'll go take a shower before we go." I scratched the back of my neck, inviting him in.

"Be quick though, I have a lot to show you!"

Jake's P.O.V

I've always waited too long to take action. I waited too long to tell my mother about the men that had come to kill us and now she's dead. I waited too long to tell Blossom about my feelings and now she's with Butch. The pain intensified when I spotted them together at the door. It wasn't hard to figure out he was inviting her out.

If love is such a wonderful thing, then why am I hurting so much?

"You're lucky, Butch. I can only hope I'll be as lucky."

Blossom's P.O.V

I peered at myself in the mirror. Since it was hot outside I had picked out a silver, loose, spaghetti strap shirt with a white undershirt since the sides dropped down further than usual. I matched it with some faded, light blue jean shorts. I slipped on a pair of white, low tops and grabbed a small bag and left.

"Ok! I'm ready!" I shouted, reaching the door. Butch smiled at me and offered his arm to me. I let out a giggle before linking arms with him and leaving.

The weather was amazing today. Sunlight everywhere with a gentle breeze, the perfect scene for a date. Not that this was a date! I mean, Butch just wanted to explore around town.

I hid my blushing face away from Butch, cursing myself quietly. Butch, who didn't notice anything, started talking about a new park that had opened up.

"It's not too far from here and apparently they opened up a section of the park where it's like a water park! They have a huge fountain there and the playground looks like it's more of a mission impossible course than a kid's playtime zone." I nodded my head to show Butch I was still listening. I started to zone out, pondering about what this little adventure meant.

"Ah, we're here!" Butch cried out, grabbing my hand and rushing towards the fountain. I let out a squeak of surprise before following him.

Butch was right, the fountain was huge. The water sparkled in the sunlight as it slowly fell to the bottom. There were benches nearby for people to sit and watch. It was absolutely breath-taking.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Butch started dragging me over to a clear spot with a little control panel sitting off to the side. Butch led me to the center of the spot and told me to stay as he continued on to the control panel. I glanced around to find some odd structures placed around. Such as some metal arches popping out of the ground close to each other.

I stepped towards the metal arches only to have water start spraying out of the ground. I let out a shriek as I hopped around, trying to stay out of the water. Butch just stood on the sidelines, grinning. Well, not for long!

I teleported behind him and grabbed his hand before teleporting him right to the center. The minute his feet touched the ground I released him and disappeared back to the control panel. I finally got a good look at it. Obviously, it was controlling everything.

I fiddled around with the switches, increasing the streams of water and setting the timer for fifteen minutes. I finally glanced up to find that the water sprayed into the air made a rainbow appear.

"BLOSS! Get me out of the water!" Butch whined, dashing around. I let out a chuckle before appearing in front of him.

"But it's more fun here!" I shouted, manipulating the water around to spray at him. From a bystander's view, it only looked like I angled my hand in the water to make it spray a different direction.

Butch and I continued our water fight until we were both soaked. We decided to get out of the water and dry out in the sun. He led us over to the playground and we started playing around like kids. It didn't take long until our clothing was dried so he brought me over to another area in the park, this time covering my eyes.

"Come on, Butch! Are we there yet?" I pouted, wiggling my arms around. Butch only chuckled at me before releasing his hands. I froze, my mouth agape.

In front of us, with the sun starting to set, was a picnic already laid out. A large wooden basket sat on the edge of the picnic cloth that was filled with my favourite foods. Dozens of sweets ready for tasting and fondue was laid out. Not your normal dinner but it was too sweet to complain about.

"Well, dig in!" Butch smiled, intertwining our hands and sitting down. We ate, joking around and I asked the one question I had been dying to ask.

"What is this all about, Butch? Is there something more to this adventure? I mean, this is beautiful." I watched him closely for a reaction. He only smiled at me before turning towards me.

"You're right, it wasn't just a regular hang out. Ever since we broke up, the only thing on my mind was you. I didn't want it to end like that. And I promise, if you just give me another chance, I won't abuse it. I'll treasure it and I'd never let go of you. I know you might still be hurt but please, let me help with your recovery. I want to more than just a friend to you, Bloss. I've always wanted that." Butch confessed, blushing. I stood there, shocked. Butch seemed to take my silence as rejection and turned away.

"Wait!" I cried, wrapping my arms around him. Butch stopped, surprised by the sudden embrace.

"I-I feel the same. I thought you might think I'm being selfish and rude if I tried to get closer to you again." I mumbled into his back, the heat radiating off of my face in huge waves. Butch quickly turned me around and hugged me.

"I would never think that, Bloss. You mean the world to me." Butch smiled at me, making my blush even more evident.

"I-I love you, Butch."

"I love you too, Bloss."

We sealed out declaration with a kiss under the setting sun.

A/N: Hey guys, the series coming to a end pretty quick, huh? All we have left is Brick's story. I was having so much trouble planning out this chapter and decided this was the best way to end it. I hoped you guys enjoyed and stick around for the next chapter! Don't worry, I'll be planning out more stories but I also want to do more fanfictions for other animes like Soul Eater! So please remember to review and tell me your favourite anime or manga!
